But if you maintain an anxious posture that feeds only the negative side of your life, you're going to struggle more than you succeed. A position like that is going to hold you back. 2973 Master Your Morning

How do you start your day? Henry Ward Beecher said, "The first hour of the morning is the rudder of the day." If you want to steer your day in the right direction, it's time to master your morning! Do you feel like Jane Fonda, Denise Austin, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Jack LaLanne? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co If you are a health nut or have been around for a while, you probably recognize all those people for their fitness expertise. Maybe it was the leg warmers that caught your eye, or the walking while always smiling. Then you have bodybuilding or juicing. But what all four of them have in common is how they start their day. They rise up with intention. It's not about being lazy in the morning. It's striking while the iron is hot. You're refreshed, renewed, and ready to hit the ground running. If you want to live your best life always, you've gotta master your morning. The K.I.S.S. ~ Master your morning! Most health professionals would include the following for their morning routines. Arise Early -- Get up when all is quiet and focus on what you need to start your day. Keep the distractions at bay so you can conquer the day. But remember that if you are going to rise early, you need to go to sleep early, too. Hydrate -- Start your day with one glass of water. If you can add two before you have any other liquids, your cells will thank you! Exercise -- Pick a workout that you like to do. That might be running, walking, strength training, circuit training, CrossFit, yoga, or pilates. The key is to do something that revs up your heart rate. Eat -- Enjoy a solid, healthy meal that includes protein, complex carbohydrates, and healthy fats. This will give you the energy you need to start your day. Prep & Plan -- Get what you need to jumpstart your day, organize your day based on priorities, not fires, and then set your goals. Practice Gratitude -- It doesn't matter how you do it. Just do it! Master what matters -- This is open season for you to choose what matters to you. 2972 Get Uncomfortable in Your Comfort Zone

Helen Keller said, "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence." Don't delay what you need to start today. Get uncomfortable in your comfort zone. What are you holding back from doing today? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co I think about Helen Keller and all the challenges she faced. As a child, Keller faced numerous challenges due to her disabilities. However, with the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan, she learned to communicate through a combination of touch and sign language. This opened up a world of knowledge and possibilities for her. Keller went on to graduate from Radcliffe College, becoming the first deaf-blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. She then became a renowned speaker, writer, and advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. Her remarkable achievements were all made possible by her unwavering optimism and faith in herself. The K.I.S.S. ~ Get uncomfortable in your comfort zone! Optimism is a powerful force that can inspire us to overcome obstacles and achieve great things. It is the belief that no matter how difficult the circumstances may seem, there is always a way forward. Optimism gives us hope and confidence, which are essential ingredients for success. You're looking at the glass half full versus half empty. However, optimism is not simply a matter of wishful thinking. It requires action and effort; you have to take A.I.M. to turn your dreams into reality. As Helen Keller once said, "When we do the best we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another." In order to achieve your goals, you must be willing to work hard and persevere in the face of setbacks. You must be willing to take risks and face challenges head-on. You must be willing to believe in yourself and your ability to make a difference in the world. So let us embrace optimism and use it as a powerful tool for achieving our dreams and goals. Let us have faith in our ability to overcome obstacles and create a brighter future for ourselves and those around us. Now, when troubles and struggles are stirred up, don't be fearful of the unknown. Helen Keller said, "Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow." Looking back to learn a great lesson is beneficial. But looking back to remain stuck and seated in the pit of your past is no place for one moving forward. Get uncomfortable in your comfort zone. 2971 When You Don't Have All the Answers

It's tough when you don't have all the answers and still need to make decisions. Uncertainty paralyzes your actions and puzzles the mind. So take what you don't know and make it a strength. Every day is a new day. If you are one who wants to be somewhere different than where you are, you have to be willing to go the mile. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co And sometimes, that mile requires doing things with simple, small answers that really don't allow you to see the whole picture of what you're wanting. It's walking in the fog. You can only see as far as your foot steps. So don't let uncertainty rule your day. Drop the dominos! The K.I.S.S. ~ Drop the dominos! You don't have to know everything to move forward. You are simply looking at where you are and dealing with where the dominos fall. Embrace the unknown The unknown can be scary, but it can also be exciting. It's an adventure! Instead of focusing on what you don't know, focus on what you can learn. Embrace the uncertainty as an opportunity to grow, and be open to new experiences and perspectives. "Uncertainty breeds opportunity." ~ Kristianne Wargo Break it down When you're faced with a complex problem or decision, it can be overwhelming. Break it down into smaller, more manageable pieces. This will make it easier to identify the areas where you need more information, and allow you to focus on taking action in the areas where you do have answers. Research and learn Take the time to do your research and learn as much as you can about the topic at hand. Talk to experts, read books and articles, and watch videos to gain more knowledge and understanding. This will not only help you make more informed decisions, but it will also boost your confidence. Seek help Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Seek out the advice and guidance of others with more experience or expertise in the area you're struggling with. Trust the process Remember that success is rarely achieved overnight. Trust the process and be patient with yourself. Keep moving forward, even if it's just one small step at a time. Progress is progress, no matter how small. Draw on your strengths and past experiences to guide you forward. Celebrate your successes along the way, no matter how small they may seem. 7. Pray If you are a believer, you need to pray. 2970 The Whispers of Worship

When God impacts your life, how do you celebrate; how do you come into His presence? Let the whispers of worship resound throughout your life and be the unwavering beat to your heart. I don't know where you are in this season of life, but I believe we leave a lot of things undone, especially when it comes to honoring and thanking Jesus Christ. Do you recite a Bible verse? How do you honor God when God honors you? The K.I.S.S. ~ The whispers of worship! Matthew Henry believed that true worship is not just about the outward actions we take, but about the inward attitude of our hearts. In his commentary on Psalm 100, he writes, "True worship must be with a humble heart and a holy fear, and in the exercise of faith, hope, and charity, those great Christian graces." Psalm 100 Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. 2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. The whispers of worship. I really think we are missing the mark in worshipping our heavenly Father. We do what works in the moment, but we don't apply it fully. Henry said, "Worship must be performed with sincerity and uprightness of heart, and according to the revealed will of God." This was in response to his commentary on what Jesus said in John 4:24 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth." Charles Spurgeon, a prominent 19th century preacher, also had much to say about worship. He believed that worship is not just something we do in church on Sunday mornings, but a way of life. In one of his sermons, he said, "True worship is not a momentary act, but a continuous attitude." How do you qualify your day with Jesus at the helm? Are you choosing to be in His presence or doing the minimum just to get to the next thing? God deserves our worship; the praise for what He has done and what He is going to do. We need to have more gratitude than a sassy attitude. How do you think your relationship with God would grow and change if you woke up and went to bed singing His praises and thanking Him for all He's done? And if you're not sure, think about your spouse's response. I know it would change how you talk to God, and how you see Him in your every day. 2969 It Begins By Quitting

What are you filling your marriage with; resentment, love, anger, or hope? And do you like where you are? Because if you want more or less of something, it begins by quitting. How fast have you been running lately? Probably not much time to come up for air. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Are you okay with that? Seriously! Most of us are trying to keep everyone else moving forward, but we forget about our marriage. The one we love, we leave. How does this make sense? It doesn't. And that's why I want you to think about what you are filling your marriage with. Are you holding your spouse to the letter of your vows with no room for failure? Are your expectations out of line for the season of life you're in as a family? Are you frustrated more than you are content? Do you prefer to pick a fight versus having calm conversations? Are you too busy to spend a moment together? You can't grow as a couple if what you're doing is tearing you apart. So if you want to grow together, it begins by quitting. The K.I.S.S. ~ It begins by quitting! If your spouse means something to you more than a rug on the floor, then you need to take an honest look at what you are dishing out in your marriage. What attitude do you contribute that encourages or discourages your spouse? What emotion do you evoke most from your spouse? What action do you over-emphasize for your benefit? You can truly be in love forever, but you have to be willing to try something new and quit what doesn't work. CHALLENGE: Where do you need to start? Attitude? Emotion? Action? Don't be overwhelmed by all of this at once. Take it a little bit at a time. If you can, talk about it with your spouse. But you can't talk about it if you are defending your position. You gotta come on neutral terms; benefits for all. PRAYER: May your heart grow fonder with every breath you take. When you get entangled with feelings and emotions that overwhelm the heart, take a step back. May your willingness to connect deeper be the spark that keeps the flame burning. "Be present. 2968 Maybe Broken is Better than Fixed

When your kids find themselves in challenging situations, it's second nature to want to make everything better. Yet overwhelm can get the best of our intentions. Maybe broken is better than fixed. You could be dealing with a broken toy or a broken relationship, but it really doesn't matter. We want to fix it! Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACT. https://createyournow.mn.co It reminds me of an educational show, Bob the Builder. Do you remember it? Bob, the builder. Can we fix it? Bob, the builder. Yes, we can! Honestly, it's like we take a silent oath that says we will fix everything for our children. And I truly understand that position. But if everything is fixed, is everything perfect? We can give our children false hope and not an understanding of truth when we try to be the fixer. Now, I'm not saying not to help your children. Parents are there to guide and protect, to provide safety and security, and to love unconditionally. But in all of that, it doesn't mean you can fix everything. Some things need to be left broken so the lessons can be learned and remembered. Life isn't about the ease of the journey, but the lessons learned along the miles of greatness you walk and that your children walk. Take an extra load off your heart and accept the broken. The K.I.S.S. ~ Accept the broken! Now, I'm probably going to get some pushback on this. But understand my heart. Of course, this doesn't mean that we should never try to fix things. There are certainly situations where you should do everything you can to find a solution. However, by accepting that you can't fix everything and focusing on simpler solutions when appropriate, you can reduce stress and be more present and supportive for your children. And that's really the focus here. Be the parent you can be, and don't beat yourself up for unattainable standards that no one can reach. So when you accept the broken, there are some benefits. Firstly, it can alleviate some of the stress and pressure we feel to be the perfect parent who can solve every problem. This pressure can be overwhelming and lead to feelings of guilt and inadequacy. By acknowledging that we can't fix everything, we can give ourselves permission to let go of some of that pressure and focus on what we can control. Secondly, accepting that we can't fix something can also help us to be more present and supportive of our children. When we're constantly trying to fix things, we may not be fully present in the moment with our children. We may be preoccupied with finding a solution rather than just being there for our children and offering them comfort and support. Finally, dealing with something that is broken can actually be simpler than trying to fix it. For example, if your child's toy is broken, you may be able to help them find a new toy or activity to enjoy instead of trying to repair the broken one. Also, if a relationship is broken, it may be simpler to focus on finding a way to move forward rather than trying to fix what's broken. Again, this is all situational. There is no one size fits all when raising kids. But it's the little things that add up to create the bigger impact. CHALLENGE: Where do you see yourself overstepping your boundaries in fixing things for your children? And then ask yourself these questions. Is there anything wrong with your kids trying to fix it themselves? What is the harm in leaving something broken? Does everything always have to be fixed? My grandson is learning that there are good and bad consequences. Sometimes if he plays with his toy the wrong way, Daddy can't fix it when it's broken. But one of the things my grandson immediately says, "Fix it!" We can't do that forever and always. So at times, maybe broken is better than fixed. "Be present. Be incredible. 2967 Keep Going!

Whether you succeed or fail, sometimes life can be a challenge to move forward. That dark gray cloud of being less than and not good enough still lingers. Don't bet on your failures or successes. Keep going! You know that feeling of being less than and not good enough all too well. It's like a dark storm cloud that hovers over you, making everything feel heavy and impossible. You feel like you're stuck, unable to move forward, and it's easy to give up altogether. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? You have the strength within you to pick yourself up and keep going, no matter how hard it may seem. When you feel defeated, it's natural to want to stay down. But that's not where you belong. You were made for greatness, and it's up to you to claim it. It's not going to be easy, but nothing worth having is ever easy. The journey may be long, and there may be obstacles in your path, but you are capable of overcoming them. The K.I.S.S. ~ Keep going! And remember, you have a purpose. You have something unique and valuable to offer the world. It's easy to forget that when you're feeling less than, but it's the truth. You were created on purpose for a purpose. So don't throw in the towel just because you got tot the top and you're scared, or because you failed again and you're left in despair. So take a deep breath. Rise to your feet and keep going. Whether you've been knocked down or reached the top, there's always more to do, more to your journey. You have so much potential within you, and it's time to unleash it. And when you feel tired, when you feel like you can't go on, remember this: rest is not weakness. It's okay to take a break, step back, and rejuvenate or recharge. It's not giving up; it's taking care of yourself so you can keep going. And when you're ready, you'll be stronger and more resilient than ever before. So keep going! You've got this. You are a living legacy. You are enough, and you are capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. Believe in what God has placed in your heart. When you wait, God strengthens your heart. Eating is a pleasurable activity fueling our body with the energy and nutrients needed to function properly. However, sometimes we tend to overeat, consuming more calories. So lead a healthy life. Be full! I would love to think that we could eat anything and everything. No boundaries. No foods off-limit. No structure to timing and labels. Only food! Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? To avoid this, it's essential to learn how to recognize when our body is full and satisfied. Let's explore the science of satiety and the benefits of incorporating healthy fats. The Science of Satiety Satiety is the feeling of fullness and satisfaction that comes after eating. It's a complex physiological process that involves communication between the gut, brain, and hormones. The gut communicates with the brain through a network of nerves and hormones, informing it about the amount and type of food that has been consumed. The brain, in turn, responds by releasing hormones that regulate appetite, such as leptin and ghrelin. Leptin is a hormone that is released by fat cells and signals the brain to reduce appetite and increase metabolism. Ghrelin, on the other hand, is a hormone that is released by the stomach when it's empty, stimulating hunger. These hormones work together to create a balance between hunger and fullness. When we eat, the release of leptin signals the brain that we are full, and the release of ghrelin decreases, reducing our appetite. In addition to hormones, the volume and type of food we eat also play a significant role in satiety. Foods that are high in fiber and protein take longer to digest, keeping us feeling fuller for longer. On the other side, foods that are high in sugar and fat are quickly digested, leading to a rapid rise in blood sugar and a subsequent crash, leaving us feeling hungry again soon after eating. All the more reason to add healthy fats! The K.I.S.S. ~ Add healthy fats! Incorporating healthy fats into our diet can help us achieve a sense of fullness and satisfaction after eating. Healthy fats, such as those found in olive oil, avocados, nuts, and fatty fish, are an essential component of a healthy diet. They are important for brain health, reducing inflammation, and regulating hormones, including those that control appetite. Olive oil is a staple of the Mediterranean diet and has been linked to numerous health benefits. Including a reduced risk of heart disease, stroke, and certain cancers. Olive oil contains monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, which have been shown to increase satiety and reduce the risk of overeating. Additionally, olive oil is an excellent source of antioxidants, which help protect the body from oxidative stress. Avocados are another healthy fat source that can help promote satiety. They are high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, fiber, and potassium. In one study, participants who ate half an avocado with their lunch reported feeling 22% more satisfied and had a 24% lower desire to eat in the following hours compared to those who didn't eat avocado. Nuts are another excellent source of healthy fats that can promote satiety and improve overall health. They are rich in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, fiber, and protein, making them an ideal snack for those looking to maintain a healthy weight. Eating nuts has been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. Additionally, nuts contain a variety of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin E, magnesium, and potassium, which are essential for overall health and well-being. Incorporating nuts into your diet, such as almonds, walnuts, and pistachios, can help you feel fuller for longer and reduce the risk of overeating. However, it's important to keep in mind that nuts are high in calories, so it's essential to practice portion control and incorporate them into a well-balanced diet. Incorporating healthy fats into our diets is essential for maintaining overall health and well-being. Here are three ways to add healthy fats to our diets: Cooking with healthy oils: We can use healthy oils, such as olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil, in our cooking to add healthy fats to our meals. These oils can be used in salad dressings, cooking, and baking. Adding nuts and seeds to meals and snacks: We can add a handful of nuts or seeds, such as almonds, walnuts, chia seeds, or flax seeds, to our meals and snacks to add healthy fats and nutrients to our diet. Incorporating fatty fish: Fatty fish, such as salmon, mackerel, and sardines, are excellent sources of healthy fats, including omega-3 fatty acids. We can incorporate these fish into our diet by grilling, baking, or sautéing them, or by adding them to salads or sandwiches. Alternatively, we can consider taking a fish oil supplement to ensure we're getting enough omega-3 fatty acids. In all that you do, consult your medical provider. By giving our body the gift of fullness, we can choose more wisely what to put into it. The brain can be reprogrammed to recognize when we are full and satisfied, allowing us to eat what our body needs, not what we want. To do this, it's essential to pay attention to our body's signals, such as feelings of hunger and fullness, and to eat mindfully, taking time to savor and enjoy our food. 2965 Walk Faster than You Run

Have you ever felt like you're running a race, but it seems like you're not making progress; working hard, but the results not showing up fast enough? If you want to stay in the race of your life, walk faster than you run. It's a common misconception that if you want to achieve success, you have to move like you're going to "break your neck" speed. But the truth is, sometimes slow and steady wins the race. When you feel like you're not making progress, it's easy to get discouraged. You want to give up, and you think that you're never going to reach your goals. But the key to success is to keep moving forward, even if it's at a slower pace. Remember, every step you take is a step in the right direction. At the time, it may not seem like you're making much progress, But as time passes, those small steps will add up. And before you know it, you'll be much farther along than you ever thought possible. The K.I.S.S. ~ Walk faster than you run! The key is to keep going, even when it feels like you're not getting anywhere. Keep taking those small steps, and before you know it, you'll have covered a lot of ground. Think about it this way: when you're running, you're focused on going as fast as you can. You're putting all your energy into moving forward, but you're also using up a lot of energy in the process. When you walk, you're still moving forward, but you're using less energy to do it. The same is true in life. When you're constantly pushing yourself to move faster, you're using up a lot of energy, and it can be exhausting. But when you slow down and take things at a more manageable pace, you can conserve your energy and keep going for longer. So don't feel discouraged because things aren't moving as quickly as you'd want. Walk faster than you run. Slow down in order to speed up. You want to set the pace for a lifelong race.
