The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 494 – Be Mighty in the Mundane
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_494-Be_Mighty_in_the_Mundane.mp3
You weren’t born into living your dream. You’re being prepared for your dream. As you’re working, showing up each day, doing what’s required to get there—sometimes it feels like nothing is happening. Still, you must consider how important your behavior is during these mundane times.
When you plant seeds in the ground, there’s a time lapse that occurs before the harvest comes in. Doubt can enter your mind while you’re waiting if you’re not careful. This is why you must be “mighty in the mundane.”
In this episode you’ll learn:
Challenges happen every day to everyone—you must pay attention to how you handle the small things, or you’ll completely miss it with the big things
We must be just as strong and magnificent in cleaning up dog poop, taking the kids to school, or handling some mundane crisis—as we are in landing a big contract, making a big sale, or turning your annual income into your monthly income
Being immature and impatient causes great delays in getting to your dream
How entitlement can creep in—and we’re like, “How dare this thing happen when I’m on purpose and headed for greatness in my life?”
We have to learn to function within the reality of our dream
Our behavior with small things is being tested for our behavior with big things
Why you shouldn’t drop down into a lower energy just because something isn’t fun or exciting to do—you must bring your energy back up to where you’re a king or queen in your own life
Nothing moves until you speak. Your words are so powerful, you’re either speaking life into something, or you’re speaking death into something. There’s no middle ground.
If you’re complaining, causing problems, being disagreeable, or bitter about the fact that you have to do something—or frustrated because you’re in a test period for whatever you’re doing—then you’re not being psychologically mature in order to be great.
When you’re showing up whiny, check yourself. What’s going on in your mind? Do you think you’re too good for it? Do you think it’s beneath you? Identify your energy around the mundane things in your life, so that you can experience the exact place of your next level of growth.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 493 – Mindset Monday’s – Grow Your Sense of Self-Responsibility
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_493-Grow_Your_Sense_of_Self_Responsibility.mp3
One of the greatest things you can consistently do, is to grow your sense of self-responsibility. Everything you achieve and everything you fail to achieve is the direct result of your own thoughts—that’s responsibility right there.
Any time you’re stuck, you can ask yourself, “Where am I with my self-responsibility right now?” Check to see if there’s any part of your psychology that’s blaming, going into self pity, or making excuses because you’re afraid to step up to the next level.
In today’s episode I’m teaching from As A Man Thinketh (from the chapter titled, “The Thought Factor in Achievement”), which discusses this idea of self-responsibility.
You’ll learn:
The more you grow your self-responsibility, the more empowered you are
God is good all the time, so even if someone in your life is a pain in your butt, there’s something good about the situation that you might not be recognizing
The moment you start to move into acceptance, you see things differently
Why you should always look for the blessing even in a challenging situation
Why you can’t coach a client to their full potential if they can’t see the vision for themselves (they have to reach the place where they want change)
Throughout the day ask yourself, “What is important right now?” This is a great question to subconsciously program your mind to stay on track. It keeps the hierarchy of what you need to do right in front of your mind.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 492 – Full Throttle Thursday – Passion is an Inside Job
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_492-Full_Throttle_Thursday-Passion_is_an_Inside_Job.mp3
Many people are looking in the wrong place to find what they love. We’re programmed with the idea that we need to “find our passion” or “find our purpose”—as if it’s outside of us—but this idea keeps people blind to their passion and purpose all their life. Why? Because it’s already inside of you.
The truth is, when you decide to show up in a state of joy, love, and passion to whatever you’re doing right now—you’ll be led right to the thing you’re searching for.
In this episode you’ll learn:
Changing your attitude can completely transform your life (like it did with me when I was working on the dock)
Why you should follow your bliss that’s inside of you—because if you’re NOT, then you’re following someone else’s rules and value
The intellect isn’t the only intelligence we have access to
When you wake up in a foul mood, you alone can change that in an instant
How I used visualization to trick myself into loving my commute to my job (and how this led to me transforming my whole life)
Why I almost got in a fist fight with my auto shop teacher when I was a kid
Passionate people approach everything with enthusiasm, no matter what. Successful people accept themselves 100% for who they are (and you should do the same). They accept their purpose and follow their bliss.
When we become an adult, we shouldn’t be the problem anymore. We’re supposed to be adults who are working on problems and solving them. But the big problem is that WE’RE still the problem. The reason we’re the problem is because we don’t know how to manage our mind and emotions.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 491 – Successful Sales Strategies Part II – I Can. I Will. I Must.
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_491-Successful_Sales_Strategies_Part_II-I_Can_I_Will_I_Must.mp3
In the book You2, Price Pritchett talks about making a quantum leap. He constantly repeats two ideas:
1) You’re already prepared to make a quantum leap—because once a person recognizes that they want something, they already have the first part required to actually do it.
2) In order to do something you’ve never done before, you have to reverse your rules, think differently, and get outside the box. Instead of leading with the head, you have to lead with the heart, and change your rules for success.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
The educational system doesn’t teach you what you need to learn to become successful
People become successful when they go out into the world, adjust their knowledge, and turn it into action
How I had two major breakthroughs in my life that totally changed everything for me
What it means to “burn the ships”
Why holding the vision of where you want to go causes your brain to adapt to those demands (and why holding an image from your past will pull you backwards)
Why you must be able to see the outcome you want in your mind before you can get it (because you need to give your mind a target to shoot for)
Plus, I will give you an exercise to help you understand the way your mind works. This will help you determine whether you’re trying to work with your mind—or whether you’re trying to change your mind and get it to adapt, so that you can move to the next level.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 490 – Successful Sales Strategies Part I – Skillset & Mindset Exercise
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_490-Successful_Sales_Strategies_Part_I-Skillset_Mindset_Exercise.mp3
You can’t become successful if you’re doing the wrong strategy.
In today’s episode I’m teaching on 2 things you must be brutally honest with yourself about if you’re in business:
#1 – The thing you need to do (strategy).
#2 – The mindset part (getting yourself to do it).
You choose your strategy based on the goals you’ve set. Examples of a strategy include marketing, advertising, team building, making sales calls, lead generation, a sales strategy, a sales funnel, or even firing someone.
You either need to do something, get better at it, get great at it, or do more of it. What is that thing?—the actual tactical strategy? What do you need to do in order to hit your goal? It’s all cause and effect.
Mindset is about getting yourself to do the thing. It doesn’t matter what it is—if you can’t get yourself to do it (and do it consistently), then you’ve got a problem.
This is where you say:
“I can’t get myself to pick up the phone.”
“I can’t get myself to sit down and write the marketing copy.”
“I can’t get myself to fire the person.”
“I can’t get myself to draw a boundary in this relationship.”
Where are you having difficulties right now?
Plus, I give you a simple exercise to identify these two things—strategy and mindset—so you can prioritize what’s most important, and change whatever is blocking you from reaching your goal. This will help you do more of what’s working and less of what’s not working, while speeding up your ability to hit your goal faster.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 489 – Full Throttle Thursday – The Slap of the Century: Will Smith, Chris Rock & an Unforgettable Oscar’s
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_489-Full_Throttle_Thursday-Will_Smith_Chris_Rock_Slap_of_the_Century.mp3
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen the video of Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscar’s—after Chris made a poor joke about Will’s wife, Jada. Will began screaming, “Keep my wife’s name out your effing mouth!” For 24 hours this incident became more popular than the war.
Many people have asked me what I think about it. I think Will Smith is a great guy, but he’s so conflicted inside. As a young boy, he watched his father beat up his mother, and he froze in fear and didn’t do anything. As a result, he internalized a tremendous amount of guilt and shame around the idea that he didn’t protect his mother. (He goes into great detail about this in his autobiography.) That’s where his rage comes from.
People are trying to make “the slap” about race, culture, hair (Jada’s alopecia), violence, women versus men, etc. But none of that has anything to do with it. Nobody is connecting Will’s reaction to what happened in his childhood. It’s the perfect example of how our childhood stories get played out as an adult. It’s very obvious to me that this is a classic replay of a childhood problem.
In today’s episode, BT and I discuss:
How violence on the outside is a result of violence on the inside
How everything Will’s done in his career—and everything with Jada—is the result of him trying to resolve a conflict inside of himself
How people react to situations is based on whatever programming is being triggered in their minds
Why the conflict is always on the inside—and when people discover their own humanity and who they really are, the violence will stop
How people could begin to heal if they looked at their own reactions as a reflection of what’s going on inside of themselves (a projection)—instead of making somebody else wrong
We should all be mindful of why we’re reacting to certain situations. Ask yourself: “What’s going on inside of me that’s causing me to react this way?” Every individual is telling their own made-up story about what’s happening—and justifying their own story.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 488 – Challenge Yourself To Become Great
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_488-TEM90B_MDM_01-17-21-Challenge_Yourself_to_Become_Great.mp3
Many years ago, when I was just starting my career, I was working with Bob Proctor and attending his seminars. After a seminar ended, most people would run to the pool to relax, while I would go up to my hotel room and make sales calls. I took the work way more seriously than most of my peers did.
In business, you’re responsible for everything. You must be able to identify opportunities and know how to build off of them. You must take your skill level to a place that’s above and beyond what anyone else is willing to do, so that you become irreplaceable. Most people don’t take this responsibility seriously enough.
People want to live an extraordinary life—but they don’t want to do what it takes to get there. Yet they’ll BS themselves into thinking they’ve done the work.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
You could have an extraordinary life if you do something amazing with the opportunity right in front of you
There are no days off in business —you can’t skate through the day (there’s no time, and the ramifications are too huge)
Sales is the foundation of everything in business
How I committed to myself by saying, “I’m not going to stop—there won’t be a day when I don’t do what’s necessary”
How Richard Branson started an airline from nothing, and now works with the best people on the planet—because of who he is
Why you must constantly learn something new, or else your company won’t grow
Plus, I share how I started selling in every circumstance imaginable, so that I could prove that excuses weren’t real, and anyone can sell in any situation. I made sales in the bathroom. I sold to a cop who was about to give me a ticket. I sold on Christmas day. I even sold to Steph Tuss (who’s now my CEO) in the elevator. I had to prove to myself that I could it, so that I could lead others to do the same.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 487 – Mindset Monday’s – You Can Move Mountains
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_487-TEM90B_MDM_01-19-21-You_Can_Move_Mountains.mp3
I’m glad we all get to experience the chaos that’s happening in the world today, because it’s such a great teaching point for keeping your head straight and staying focused.
Napoleon Bonaparte was known for his intense ability to focus. He broke through so many things that nobody thought was even possible. From his life, we can learn that, “If you focus past a problem, it must give way.” Problems are mountains that can be removed from your life if you have faith as small as a mustard seed.
In today’s episode I’m teaching on the various components of focus (including trust)—and diving into Neville Goddard book, At Your Command.
You’ll learn:
We all have an incredible power to choose, which also means we can choose what we focus on
Why we must have faith in the unseen—because without faith, it’s impossible to realize anything
Our desires are “a promise” from God—and we shouldn’t be worried or concerned about HOW our desires will happen
Even the best marketers don’t know who will buy from them (or how those people will find them), but they’re doing their best to put out their marketing content into the world to reach people (through faith)
“Man distorts the gifts of God through his lack of faith”
Through our use of faith, we can create a new heaven on earth. But to do this, we need to focus and not get distracted.

He’s bringing awareness to soil and how important it is to life itself, because everything—including our ability to grow food—comes from the soil. At age 65, he’ll cover 18,600 miles on his journey. He’ll meet with celebrities, environmentalists, and influencers throughout Europe and India.
Although “dirt” is a new topic for me, I’m fascinated by what I’ve learned so far. Today BT and I discuss our perspectives on what Sadhguru is doing to save the soil.
In this episode you’ll learn:
How our soil is apparently degrading to the point where it may someday become “sand” (like the desert) with no organic material in it
How the entire world could be in civil wars by 2030-2035, because there won’t be any food, due to the soil not being rich enough to grow any food
How our government only gets interested in certain issues, based on where it’s getting its funding from
What I heard about Bill Gates buying up the world’s farmland
How some big industries wouldn’t be needed anymore if we fixed our soil in the right way
Why the soil problem will most likely be solved by entrepreneurship (unless there’s something corrupt going on)
While the government wants to get rid of all gasoline vehicles and switch everything to electric—solving our soil problem would solve the “carbon emissions” problem.
I encourage you to check out Sadhguru’s website and learn more about this important topic.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 485 – Psychological Reciprocity: The Genius Is In the Bag
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_485-TEM90B_MDM_01-15-21-Psychological_Reciiprocity.mp3
Decades ago, we used “psychological reciprocity” at Bob Proctor’s seminars to sell out products at the back of the room. We did this by giving away free bags—and we were amazed at the results.
The psychological law of reciprocity says that when you induce certain feelings in a person, they’re programmed to automatically respond in a grateful way of some kind. If you give them something, very often they feel compelled (in a good way) to give something back.
If you want to see your sales go up dramatically, there are two things to consider: psychological reciprocity, and how to handle objections. You’ll also want to be able to determine whether an objection is real, or just an excuse.
In today’s episode you’ll learn:
Why using psychological reciprocity in your sales or marketing makes people feel special—and will increase your sales
The 2 types of objections in a sales conversation—“psychological blocks” (when a person convinces themselves not to move forward) and circumstantial objections (like, “I don’t have the time or money”)
How to figure out if an objection is real or just an excuse—and why you shouldn’t try to solve a problem that isn’t real
How asking a “split question” gets you to the true answer with 98% of the people you talk to (because the human brain cannot think about two things at the same time)
Once your industry finds out that something is working with psychological reciprocity, everyone will start doing it—and then it’ll stop working
A sales professional does not get agitated; they don’t feel threatened or take anything personally that happens in a sales conversation
Your belief as a salesperson needs to be rock solid. You must understand human behavior and the nature of human beings. It’s your job to get better—and to ask better questions to help bring clarity to the other person during a sales call.
Your belief in why they CAN do something, needs to be more solid than their belief in why they can’t. Otherwise, they’re going to convince themselves not to do it. That’s human nature.
