The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 479 – Rise High for Success to See You

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_479-TEM90B_MDM_01-02-21-Rise_High_For_Success_to_See_You.mp3 Most people are taught a certain philosophy around work—that we must “start at the bottom,” and work really hard in order to rise up to a higher position in life. In Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill said that’s one of the worst concepts for achievement possible—starting at the bottom. Because, “When you start at the bottom, you never raise high enough for success to see you.”  In today’s episode you’ll learn:   To achieve success, you need other successful people (“people of value”) to help you People of value are looking for other people of value to help them When we’re starting at the bottom, we’re not demonstrating much value If you want to be wealthy, you must provide more value than most people do Coming from a place of “need” is survival based—and way different than desire (survival is about saying, “I need to be safe; I can’t risk; I don’t want to lose anything”) The principles most people practice are NOT principles of success—they’re principles of survival How self-worth issues hold a person back—and why one of the biggest mistakes you can make is to project your emotional worth onto your product, service, or your client   You have to really think, “What rules are keeping me stuck?” Einstein said, “You can’t get out of a problem with the same thinking that created the problem.” In order to create a quantum leap, you have to move higher in your thinking. Raise your consciousness.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 479: Rise High for Success to See You Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 478 – Mindset Monday’s – Everything is Preparing You for Something Better

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_478-TEM90B_MDM_01-09-21-Everything_is_Preparing_You_For_Something_Greater.mp3 Any time you have a setback, challenge, or “WTF” moment, it provides an opportunity for good. Everything you’ve experienced in life is preparing you for something greater. You can look back on your own childhood, through the present day, and see how everything got you to this point. The real gift in your experiences might not show up right away—it might come tomorrow, or 5-10 years from now. That’s why you should be flexible and not take anything personally. When you act as if something is happening “to” you, you start to victimize and get indignant. But that doesn’t prepare you for the next challenge. How you meet current challenges will determine how prepared you are for future challenges. In this episode you’ll learn:   Why I don’t necessarily think “God tests people” or that we have to be prepared to pass the test The modus operandi of the universe is “more life”—which means everything you experience makes you stronger, so that you can sustain more life and ADD to life There’s either growth or death—there’s no in between How having an unstable mother and family life as a kid allowed me to adapt to instability very easily (which is great for business, where you have to stay calm under pressure) How moving 21 times as a kid taught me many different things that prepared me for when I went into the armed services…which later helped me save my own life when I went through the dam Why we should look at everything from a “God’s eye view” rather than a bug’s eye view   Plus, I share a crazy story about the most disturbing email I’ve ever received—in which someone attempted to extort money from me and my company. This experience taught me how to stand up in the face of fear, and how to handle it when someone is threatening to bring down everything you’ve worked for for 15-20 years. As it turns out, being embezzled out of $5 million (in the past) helped me navigate through that experience.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 478: Mindset Monday’s – Everything Is Preparing Your for Something Better Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  We’ve already dropped several episodes in the series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 477 – Full Throttle Thursday – Inventing Anna

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_477-FTT_InventingAnna.mp3 SPOILER ALERT: If you have plans to watch the Netflix limited Series, Inventing Anna, you may want to hold off on listening to this until after you’ve seen the show. The new Netflix limited series, Inventing Anna,  gives a fascinating glimpse into the mind of a classic narcissist—Anna Delvey, aka Anna Sorokin, an Instagram influencer who charmed her way into stealing money from New York’s social elite. The show is told from the point of view of Vivian Kent, a journalist who interviews people who were impacted by Anna’s schemes and charms. Anna is played spectacularly by Julia Garner from the hit series Ozark. In today’s episode BT and I, along with my CEO, Steph Tuss, discuss some of our takeaways from binging the show:   Why Steph relates to Anna Delvey, in the sense of being “underestimated” in life How Anna learned to manipulate as a child, from seeing that her father could completely destroy people—and how Anna learns and grows in her ability to manipulate throughout the show How Anna had no boundaries and no barriers on when to stop—she knew which buttons to press, and if one button didn’t work, she’d switch her tactic midstream How narcissists hook us in by finding out what we want and feeding it back to us How a narcissist is like a Velociraptor testing the fence in Jurassic Park, trying to find a weakness so it can rip you apart The book Trust by Iyanla Vanzant—and how you should determine who you want in your life based on their “performance data”   We’re constantly putting people into the structure of whatever our own internal story is. That’s why many of us are susceptible to narcissists. I highly recommend watching Inventing Anna for its fascinating psychological perspective on human behavior.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 477: Full Throttle Thursday – Inventing Anna How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People by Jessica Pressler @theannadelvey on Instagram Looking to take your mindset to the next level?  Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  We’ve already dropped several episodes in the series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 476 – The Desire to Succeed

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_476-TEM90B_MDM_12-31-20-The_Desire_to_Succeed.mp3 The fact that you desire to succeed is evidence that you have the power to succeed. However, when doubt creeps into your mind, it attacks whatever you’re thinking about. When you’re working towards your goals or vision—and you’re trying to keep a positive mindset—something can happen in your external life, and doubt can creep in. It’s very suggestible, depending on what you’re experiencing. In today’s episode you’ll learn:   Why doubt is like a virus that attacks your thinking—and it changes HOW you’re thinking When we get immersed in doubt, we start to believe it and get emotionally entrenched in it When we get sucked into the drama of something, we can’t see the lie (or non-truth) in it Most people are programmed to ask, “When do we get to stop doing the thing we don’t like?”—that’s why we have “hump day” and “thank God it’s Friday” As entrepreneurs, we need to schedule our time off, to avoid becoming resentful The more fatigued your mind is, the easier it is for doubt to creep in   Your desire is a roadmap, and everything you need to succeed is already here. But doubt will screw up your desire faster than anything else, because it will turn it into fatigue. Suddenly you’ll question whether you can reach your goal, and you’ll feel like you’re never going to get there.  If you want to succeed at reaching your goals, you need to keep doubt completely out of your mind.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 476: The Desire to Succeed Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 475 – Mindset Monday’s – Stay Committed

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_475-TEM90B_MDM_01-04-21-Stay_Committed.mp3 When you set a goal, you must have a white-hot desire inside of you to reach that goal. The desire needs to be kept alive, because it guides you when everything else is gone. Another word for this is commitment. Desire and commitment illuminate the vision for what you want to create for yourself. It’s your compass—the thing that always needs to be there. In today’s episode you’ll learn:   You can’t see something on the screen of your mind if there wasn’t a way to actually do it “There’s always a way” when you’re committed You must periodically check your level of commitment (like checking that your gas tank has enough fuel) Your commitment needs to be thorough—in other words, what are you actually committed to (starting? reaching a goal? completing the follow-through after the goal?) Why climbing Mount Everest takes real commitment not only to get to the top, but also to come back down Your goal is just one piece of the puzzle in the giant picture of everything you’re doing—so it’s not just about reaching your goal—it’s about “making it back down the mountain” It takes a toll on us to psychologically and physically to reach a goal—because of the amount of learning, adapting, and growing we have to do in order to win (commitment is what gets us through this)   My mentor once told me, “Never, ever finish a goal without setting the next one before you finish the first one. Never.”   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 475: Mindset Monday’s – Stay Committed Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  We’ve already dropped several episodes in the series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 474 – Full Throttle Thursday – Canadian Crackdown: A Democracy in Crisis

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_474-FTT_CanadianCrackdown.mp3 Canada’s government has literally turned into a dictatorship. After Canadian truckers organized a peaceful protest, asking that mandates for truck drivers be dropped—this escalated into a fight for freedom. The truckers’ equipment was impounded. Their livelihoods were taken. And the government seized their GoFundMe account, which raised $10 million in support of the truckers. Now the government is going after anyone who donated to the GoFundMe, which they call a “terrorist organization.” And apparently it’s retroactive. The downfall of Canada’s democracy is one of the most terrifying things we’ve ever experienced. It can potentially affect much of the western world. Most people have no idea what’s happening, because none of the news channels are covering it. In today’s episode BT and I discuss:   A Department of Homeland Security bulletin from February 7th saying you cannot speak out against your government (even if what you’re saying is true) because if you do, you’ll be labeled a “domestic terrorist” in the United States  Joe Rogan’s interview with Maajid Nawaz—a former Islamic terrorist who says everything that’s happening in these free countries today is exactly how he was trained to bring governments down (and he has proof) How all the free countries are playing by the same playbook—extending mandates, and overstepping the line when it comes to power grabs and the rights of their citizens (and this is no coincidence) Jordan Peterson’s interview with someone who helped create the Canadian Charter of Rights (which is similar to the United States’ Bill of Rights)—and how that person is suing the Canadian government  because the charter of rights has been broken How our governments are supposed to work for the people and address our concerns, but they’re not doing that And much more   The assault on democracy is not a hyperbole. I don’t think people realize we could lose our freedom. How Canada responds to this is going to say a lot. I know this is a sensitive topic and it’s quite scary. My objective isn’t to sway your opinion one way or another, but to give you the information so you can make your own decisions about what’s been happening.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 474: Full Throttle Thursday – Canadian Crackdown: A Democracy in Crisis The Catastrophe of Canada | Rex Murphy and Jordan B Peterson  The Joe Rogan Experience #1780 – Maajid Nawaz Homeland Security Bulletin – February 7, 2022 Looking to take your mindset to the next level?  Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  We’ve already dropped several episodes in the series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 473 – Simplicity In Itself

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_473-TEM90A_MDM_9-28-20-Simplicity_In_Itself.mp3 In “Mystic Path to Cosmic Power,” Vernon Howard says, “A man cannot see anything he is unwilling to see. He is unwilling because he fears the loss of his false and fixed viewpoints—and those things mean the loss of himself.” Think about the fixed viewpoints you have about various things in your life. How are those holding you back? In today’s episode you’ll learn:   You can boil anything down to its essence by looking at the truth of what it is Simplicity is about asking, “What is it, in itself?” Human beings give meaning to everything, including negative meanings—because this keeps us safe, certain, and in our bubble Vernon Howard was all about breaking through fixed ideas that are false Most people will never change until something drastic happens in their life; they need to experience intense suffering before they’ll see the light How Vernon Howard’s book, Psycho-Pictography, helps people replace the fixed images in their mind with new images that get them better results   Be willing to see the truth about your fixed viewpoints. As Vernon says, “If you want opposite results from what you’ve been getting, take the opposite course. Turn all demands inward. Demand your own power. Insist that your mind work for you, not against you. Command your habits to be what you wish. Demand constant and sincere work toward your own deliverance.”   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 473: Simplicity In Itself Mystic Path to Cosmic Power by Vernon Howard Psycho-Pictography by Vernon Howard Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 472 – Mindset Monday’s – Be the Gatekeeper of Your Thoughts

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_472-TEM90A_MDM_10-01-20-Be_the_Gatekeeper_of_Your_Thoughts.mp3 How often have you started to take action on something to move your business forward—and then something else grabs your attention? Or you don’t feel like doing it? Or you say, “I’ll do it later”? Then you stop and go in a completely different direction, never giving yourself a chance to build momentum in the direction of success.  That’s because you’re not taking control of your thoughts. Something else is. People don’t fail because they want to fail—they fail because they don’t see the pattern in themselves of switching their focus to something else, rather than sticking to the task in front of them. In today’s episode you’ll learn:   Great things are built over time, through consistency and repetition of doing the things that work How our brain gets manipulated to seek “immediate satisfaction”—and why people quit because they don’t get results in five minute “Lack of decision” is one of the major causes of failure Procrastination is the opposite of decision—it’s a common enemy that everyone must conquer The highest power in the world is willpower Why you must consciously be on guard and be the gatekeeper of your own thought process  How to make decisions based on by looking at whether something will move you forward   Using your consciousness in the correct way means choosing, “Where am I going to direct my thoughts and feelings?” You must be the overseer of your own thinking so that it’s not distracted based on how you feel. Ask yourself, “Why am I thinking and making the decisions that I’m making?” Where are you going? Focus on what’s important to you and the vision you have for yourself, and stay in your lane.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 472: Mindset Monday’s – Be the Gatekeeper of Your Thoughts Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill The Laws of Success by Sterling Sill Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  We’ve already dropped the first three episodes in this new series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 471 – In Search of the Truth: Dr. Peter McCullough

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_471-In_Search_of_the_Truth-Dr_Peter_McCullough_FINALEDIT.mp3 Today I’m interviewing Dr. Peter McCullough, whose recent interview with Joe Rogan blew up the internet. The information he’s sharing is causing people to ask so many questions about COVID, vaccines, the lack of vaccine safety, and who’s behind the planning of the pandemic. Dr. Peter McCullough is a practicing internist and cardiologist who is trained in epidemiology. Before COVID-19, he was the most published person in his field in the world—with over 660 publications in peer-reviewed literature. He spends half his time seeing and caring for patients, and the other half as an author, editor, and clinical investigator. Dr. McCullough is a frequent contributor to Fox News, Newsmax, OAN, and other news outlets. He’s testified twice in the US Senate under oath, and in multiple state senates. His opinion has been relied upon, because he’s been true to the data, and not to any narrative. “We don’t tell stories in medicine,” he says. In today’s episode, we discuss:   How 200 papers in peer-reviewed literature on myocarditis show that there’s a “giant safety issue” with vaccines—and people are dying because they’ve taken the vaccine How most people who developed Omicron were fully vaccinated individuals, including Americans Why US hospitalization data aren’t trustable  How the vaccines are “gene transfer technology platforms” that get distributed throughout the body, go into the brain, deposit genetic material, and start producing “a dangerous spike protein right in the brain, the heart, and the bone marrow” Why courage is an uncommon quality, and why Dr. McCullough thinks “there’s a lot of intelligent doctors, but…relatively few who have strong minds” (and the difference between the two) Dr. McCullough’s recommended resource for learning about who planned the COVID-19 pandemic and the various vaccine stakeholders   Dr. McCullough says the CDC and FDA are sponsors of the vaccine program. “They won’t be unbiased when it comes to vaccines, because they’ve been told to get a needle in every arm. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson can’t be unbiased,” he says. Plus, I share the story of how my own daughter was turned away at the hospital when they found out she wasn’t vaccinated. “No one should be denied care,” Dr. McCullough says. I’m bringing this information to you so you can make your own informed decisions. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 470 – Be Grateful For the Opportunity to Work

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_470-TEM90B_MDM_12-07-20-Be_Grateful_For_the_Opportunity_to_Work.mp3 I grew up in an environment where there was resentment about working. There was some good work ethic, there was also indignation about it. I think that comes from people not doing what they love. They’re working for the wrong reasons. Working for survival is actually the worst reason to have to work. Part of your responsibility is to find out what you love to do in life and to never stop searching until you find it—because what else is there? In this episode you’ll learn:   The purpose of your work should be contribution, because that’s where we get our fulfillment Why you shouldn’t merely for the goal of getting to retirement Why people who make a lot of money can get bored or paranoid of losing their money (hint: because they lack contribution and service to others) “Good thoughts and actions can never produce bad results” “Bad thoughts and actions can never produce good results” What James Allen said about the role of suffering in As A Man Thinketh    Being grateful for the opportunity to work is really about coming from a place of service and contribution. If your work causes you any kind of suffering, you may want to take an honest look at how you’re thinking about it.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 470: Be Grateful for the Opportunity to Work Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed.
