The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 509 – Work the Plan

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_509-Work_The_Plan.mp3 Most of our lives are spent in a constant state of fear, pain, or avoidance. We find what’s comfortable and we stay there…until we can’t anymore. The job becomes toxic. The stress becomes unbearable. And suddenly we need to make a huge change—or else live the rest of our lives in a state of lack. There’s only one way to manage the fear—and that is to “work the plan.” In this episode, you’ll learn:   Your success or failure in life depends on how well you can manage your fear  How proactively “working the plan” eliminates fear How people create problems by not communicating How the emotional pendulum is constantly swaying—from excitement to fear, hope to doubt (and it’s all taking place in your head) Your subconscious mind can fight you on anything, except a different result   Plus, I share stories of two of my clients who were tested by massive personal challenges. They could either learn to manage their fear or risk bankruptcy. My team and I could only help them so much. Their successes relied solely on their desire to succeed and work the plan. Notice the similarities between the two stories; how these two strangers allowed fear to affect them and how working the plan was the only thing left they could do.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 509: Work the Plan Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 508 – Mindset Monday’s – You’re Stronger Than You Think You Are

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_508-You_re_Stronger_Than_You_Think_You_Are.mp3 Everything we desire—and everything that’s involved in living our purpose—comes through the process of believing. Belief is a spiritual and a scriptural promise that’s based on universal law. Nothing exists in and of itself; it’s always connected to something else. When you believe this to be true—and you have a strong belief in it—you can accomplish remarkable things. The idea of belief and inner strength is biblical. The Christian Bible talks about making your belief exponentially stronger. The process of believing is an active process, not a passive one. That means if you want to create a certain outcome in your life, you have to take certain actions. And this all comes back to how strong your belief is. In this episode you’ll learn:   You can’t have a desire and a purpose, without the possibility of those things being manifested right now If you start doing certain things in a certain way, your desires will start showing up in your life, due to the law of “cause and effect” The mind tells the body what to do, and we control the mind If you think strong, you’ll be strong; if you think weak, you’ll be weak If you’re in the energy of fear, you’re probably picturing an undesirable outcome through the improper use of your imagination—and this is weak thinking Going to the next level always costs us something, and we have to be willing to pay that price   You’re stronger than you think you are. The utter strength of your ability to think is astounding. And you don’t need anybody else to do it, or even to agree with you. You just need to have a strong belief in universal laws.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 508: Mindset Monday’s – You’re Stronger Than You Think You Are Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 507 – Full Throttle Thursday – Breaking Down “The System”

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/FTT_Episode_507-Breaking_Down_The_System.mp3 America is a relatively young nation, going on its 250th year of becoming a free nation in a few years. However, for the first time in history, the United States could be destroyed. There are kids who have never learned the history of what this country has gone through—because they’re trying to erase that history in schools. Abraham Lincoln talked about how the United States would not come down by some foreign oppressor or attack. It would come down from within. If we give up our Bill of Rights or Constitutional rights, we are absolutely not going to get that back—and that’s scary. Recently, Tom McDonald released a rap song called “The System,” which I think perfectly explains what’s going on in the world today. Everything that’s going on is a distraction designed to get people to react and hyper-react to everything. It’s all designed to get us pick a side and fight its opposition. As long as society remains distracted, we can’t come together. We can’t find out what we have in common or work together to build and create the society we really want.  In this episode, BT and I discuss:   How society is being taken from one catastrophe to the next, which is causing people to become extraordinarily divided—and that’s not by accident; it’s by plan How people are getting so emotional about what they think is a problem, that they don’t actually see that they’re being manipulated How the distractions keep us polarized—and that’s the real problem How people are given the illusion of choice  Tom McDonald’s background as a former professional wrestler from Canada who battled with alcoholism and became a rapper after the pandemic—and today he’s not afraid to take on difficult conversations or topics   I encourage you to listen to the lyrics of Tom McDonald’s song, because he talks about this “system” that we’re all a part of. Upon first glance, he looks scary and intimidating. However, I was astonished at how well he nailed the problem.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 507: Full Throttle Thursday – Breaking Down “The System” Tom MacDonald – The “System” Looking to take your mindset to the next level?  Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  You can now binge the entire series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 506 – Do the Things You Say You’re Going to Do

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_506-Do_the_Things_You_Say_You_re_Going_to_Do.mp3 Humans are the only species that gives meaning to things. The meaning we give to something is the cause and effect of how we interact with that thing. For example, if you give a negative meaning to your alarm clock, then you train yourself to ignore it when it goes off in the morning. Then you deepen that habit in your nervous system. Instead, you want to train your nervous system to take action immediately on whatever you need to do. If you say—then do it. In this episode you’ll learn:   If we become successful at the foundational things, we’ll be successful at anything else—and everything will be much easier The more we do anything, the easier it gets The faster you rewire your nervous system—by diving right into the actions you want to take—the easier it becomes (and this has been shown scientifically to be true) Jumping into the cold water is much more efficient than dipping your toe in and saying, “No way” How having 100 conversations in 7 days made me amazingly good at sales—because I broke through my fear of talking to people; I was speed learning and adapting   Plus, I share an exercise that will help you immediately take action on things you say you want to do. Make a list of 10 silly, simple things to do each day—and do them at a certain time, to train your nervous system to take action quickly. By building that internal muscle, taking action on becomes easy and automatic. You’ll no longer have to wrestle with your mind when you’re trying to do something. It’s unbelievable how much better we get when we dive right into action.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 506: Do the Things You Say You’re Going to Do Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 505 – Mindset Monday’s – How I Can vs. Why I Can’t

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_505-How_I_Can_vs_Why_I_Can_t.mp3 When people attend a seminar, 85% or more of them walk away and do nothing with the information they learned. This has to do with their attitude and outlook on life. People who go to seminars tend to fall into one of three mindsets: 1) “This is fricking amazing. I love this. How can I do this?” 2) “That’s interesting. It’d be cool if it was true, but I doubt whether it’s valid or if I can actually do it myself.” 3) “This is total BS.” Let’s take out the middle person and look at the two extremes—someone who says, “Holy crap, this is amazing; I want to do this.” And someone who thinks it’s total BS. One person will be able to take the information and create an extraordinary increase in income; and the other won’t. It boils down to the attitude of that individual. In this episode you’ll learn:   You either see the world and find reasons why you CAN do something; or you find reasons why you CAN’T do something  Why some people immediately look for “why it won’t work” How your desire controls your attitude and how you see the world Why avoiding mistakes is parallel to the attitude of “why I can’t”  Nothing is dormant in your subconscious mind; you’re either feeding it or you’re starving it   As individuals, we need to comb through our own mindset and look for toxic attitudes and get them out. Someone with a frugal mindset won’t spend money on anything they don’t “need ,” period. This person will go their entire life without having many experiences outside of whatever their belief system is.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 505: Mindset Monday’s – How I Can vs. Why I Can’t Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 504 – Full Throttle Thursday – Acres of Wisdom from The Biggest Little Farm

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_504-Full_Throttle_Thursday-Acres_of_Wisdom_from_The_Biggest_Little_Farm.mp3 SPOILER ALERT: If you have plans to watch the 2019 documentary, The Biggest Little Farm you may want to hold off on listening to this until after you’ve seen the film. Today Steph Tuss shares her views on the documentary, “The Biggest Little Farm.” This beautifully shot film details how Molly and John Chester dreamed of creating a sustainable farm in southern California. They didn’t know how to do it, didn’t have the money for it, and faced one problem after another. Steph saw things in this documentary that most people don’t see. Having spent her childhood summers at her grandparents’ dairy farm, she had a strong emotional reaction to the film. She recommends you drop everything and go watch it, because it’s full of amazing life lessons that reflect universal truth principles. In this episode you’ll learn:   How hearing truth is like an arrow through your heart—and you can see the universal laws playing out in every aspect of “The Biggest Little Farm” How a dog named Todd was what that pushed Molly and John to finally pursue their dream If you have a desire, then the way to do it is also present (because according to the law of polarity, nothing is created in halves; everything is created as a whole) How most people are raised to focus on problems, rather than look for solutions How one problem after another kept showing up on the farm—from cover crop getting too high, to endless snails eating profits, to a drought causing ducks not to get enough fresh water, to gophers overtaking the farm, to snakes, and coyotes killing chickens All the failures that Apricot Lane Farms went through over the years, and how each problem became a solution to another problem   The film teaches us that we can get super emotional and angry by only focusing on the problems in our life. But if we do that, we’ll never see a solution. In “The Biggest Little Farm,” the solutions were all intertwined with each other—which, when combined, made the farm overall a better place, hence “more life.”   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 504 Full Throttle Thursday – Acres of Wisdom from The Biggest Little Farm   Looking to take your mindset to the next level?  Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  You can now binge the entire series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 503 – Nice is Not a Value

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_503-Nice_is_Not_a_Value.mp3 “Being nice” is one of the biggest con jobs that people do. Nice is not a virtue or a value (being kind is)—and yet we’re raised with the idea of being nice. The word “nice” can have a detrimental effect on the people who use it, as well as on the people who are used by it. Today I’m teaching from Jordan Peterson’s book, 12 Rules for Life. In it, he says that, “doing unto others as you would have them do unto you, or loving your neighbor as yourself” has nothing to do with being nice.  In today’s episode you’ll learn:   You don’t belong to yourself—you belong to God—and you should not bully, torture, or mistreat yourself Mistreating yourself can have catastrophic consequences for others (e.g., a suicide) You’re important; you matter—and what you think and say is important, even if you’re wrong If you don’t ever express yourself and allow yourself to be wrong, it becomes very difficult for you to learn You don’t learn anything if your goal is to “be perfect or don’t show up at all” Voluntarily accepting somebody else’s opinion or expertise without question is dangerous   Peterson says, “We are low resolution versions of God, and we can make order from chaos and vice versa…It is not virtuous to be victimized by a bully, even if that bully you.” When you tell yourself, “I can’t get myself to do this, that, or the other,” you’re abusing yourself—because you’re making yourself less than your capabilities; you’re experiencing less than your possibilities.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 503: Nice is Not a Value 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos by Jordan B. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 502 – Mindset Monday’s – Opportunity Knocks at the Door of Chaos

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_502-Opportunity_Knocks_at_the_Door_of_Chaos.mp3 Whenever we ask the universe for something—opportunity, money, people, situations, circumstances, sales—we’re also asking for chaos to show up in our life. Most people have a tendency to want to run away from chaos, rather than accept it when it shows up. (And it will show up.) Although we want peace in our mind and in our heart, we need chaos in order to experience growth. Chaos consistently keeps us on the edge of life and gives us growth, and it can be very uncomfortable. In this episode you’ll learn:   Leadership is born in chaos, not in calm A leader can recognize chaos and develop a plan of action in order to break through the unnatural state that keeps most people stuck When you’re trying to reach your goal, comfort is the enemy  One of the purposes of money is to be able to extend our service far beyond our physical presence Money allows us to take advantage of chaotic situations in a way that lets us establish a pattern for growth  We don’t want chaos all the time, but we want to have enough calm in our life so that we can think, plan, and create systems and structures to move forward—and this is the job of the leader   There’s a very healthy dose of chaos within the universe. Close your eyes, sit quietly, and ask yourself, “What do I want to create?” Get yourself really focused on the thing you want to create. As you do that, you’re creating calm and significance out of chaos. That’s what it means to be a leader.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 502: Mindset Monday’s – Opportunity Knocks at the Door of Chaos Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 501 – Full Throttle Thursday – After Burn: Fyre Festival & The Greatest Party That Never Was

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/FTT_Episode_501-Fyre_Festival_Five_Years_Later.mp3 Five years ago, in 2017, the infamous Fyre Festival was scheduled to go off in Great Exuma in the Bahamas. Co-founded by con artist, Billy McFarland, and rapper Ja Rule, the festival was intended to launch an app for Fyre Media. They used slick marketing in their promotional videos to appeal to millennials, while using social media influencers and beautiful models to sell the dream. It was supposed to be this massive event that would disrupt the industry.  Then everything fell apart. Fyre Festival was “the greatest event that never was.” Billy McFarland went to prison for fraud. And now the question remains whether he was truly trying to con people—or if he really intended to pull off the festival, but just couldn’t make it work. In today’s episode, BT and I discuss:   Billy McFarland, his intentions; his intelligent, yet manipulative nature, and how he was a sociopathic narcissist How he got loans based on fake financials, while reinventing ways to make money to just keep creditors at bay and to be able to get the festival off the ground My take on what Billy was doing, and how he got so deep into it that he couldn’t call it off even if he tried Why our intention is everything—and there was a way to actually make the festival work with what they wanted, but they had no real plan My experience with being conned when I was really young—and how they get you to believe something that’s 100% false Human psychology, “fake-it-till-you make-it” mentality and how the millennial generation got duped into—and shamed for—going to this festival-that-never-was    I’m not convinced either way if Billy was intentionally trying to con people, or whether he intended to see the festival through. However, it’s a fascinating discussion on our intention, why we need a plan for success, and our ability to follow through on our plan.  I highly recommend you check out both the Netflix and Hulu documentaries on the Fyre Festival.   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 501 Full Throttle Thursday – After Burn: Fyre Festival & The Greatest Party That Never Was Fyre – Netflix Fyre Fraud – Hulu Looking to take your mindset to the next level?  Be sure to stop over on The Successful Mind Podcast Channel on YouTube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere in your audio podcast feed.  You can now binge the entire series where David takes you through high level teachings around Raymond Holliwell’s classic book, Working With the Law.  If you’re ready to take the next step in exploring the Universal Laws and mindset it requires to be a huge success you’ll want to check this series out. The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 500 – Something Good is Coming Your Way

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/content.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_500-Something_Good_is_Coming_Your_Way.mp3 Often when God (or the universe) speaks to me, I wake up at 2:20 in the morning and hear a particular message over and over again. This happened years ago before I started my business. I kept waking up at 2:20 in the morning, hearing a voice in my head say, “If you want to live your dream, you have to leave.” Spirit was telling me to quit my job so that I could start the business that I’m in today. I didn’t know it at the time, but the voice was directing me to my life’s purpose. If I hadn’t listened, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. In today’s episode you’ll learn:   Why I almost needed a guarantee or certainty that quitting my job was the right path for me (it was important to me to know that the message I was hearing was coming from Spirit) Why I didn’t tell anyone I was quitting my job, once I finally made the decision to do so What I learned about setting intentions, manifestation, and believing for the thing you want—and why I needed to put all of that to the ultimate test When you hear a message from God, it’s very important that you follow those instructions and don’t change what you’re doing (even if a door closes) Why you should keep doing what you’re doing, and pay attention to whatever is showing up—because there’s something great coming to you God is good all the time    Plus, I share the crazy story of how a neighbor gave me a message from Godthat was an absolute verification of what I was hearing from the universe—which confirmed that I’d made the right choice of quitting my job. (It gave me chills.)  Whatever you’re waiting for, or working on right now—“it’s on its way to you.”   Links & Resources The Successful Mind Podcast on YouTube – Episode 500: Something Good is Coming Your Way Be sure to join David over on You Tube for EXCLUSIVE content that you won’t find anywhere near your audio podcast feed.
