Humans are the only species that gives meaning to things. The meaning we give to something is the cause and effect of how we interact with that thing. For example, if you give a negative meaning to your alarm clock, then you train yourself to ignore it when it goes off in the morning. Then you deepen that habit in your nervous system.
Instead, you want to train your nervous system to take action immediately on whatever you need to do. If you say—then do it.

Plus, I share an exercise that will help you immediately take action on things you say you want to do. Make a list of 10 silly, simple things to do each day—and do them at a certain time, to train your nervous system to take action quickly. By building that internal muscle, taking action on becomes easy and automatic. You’ll no longer have to wrestle with your mind when you’re trying to do something.
It’s unbelievable how much better we get when we dive right into action.
