When we get complacent about complacency in business success and stop practicing the disciplines and skill sets we’re developing, we might not die – but we could absolutely lose our business, relationships, or everything we’ve built. I witnessed this with my grandmother’s friend – a top real estate agent who was sober for 20 years until one devastating day. After learning his daughter died, he had one beer. In just one week, he was a falling-down drunk again. That’s how complacency in business success works – the old monster is always in the shadows, waiting. Mastering Financial Discipline to Overcome ComplacencyThe most dangerous place for complacency in business success is with your sales calls. If those calls aren’t happening and you’re not getting better, you’re not building a business – you’re going out of business! But when you stand in your divine spark, in your divine business mindset, you’re promoted by God. You’re promoted by yourself. You don’t need somebody else’s authority. You literally can drop every story from your past today and rewrite it the way you wanted it to have been. Like Bob Dylan, you can step into a completely different version of yourself simply because you decide to. Taking Action With Your Divine Business MindsetPeople are waiting for you to come into their life to make a change. What an unbelievable gift you have! And if you step into that divine business mindset, you’ll have an unbelievable life. Remember what Aaron Rodgers said about that critical playoff moment: “We never got the ball back after that.” There will be a time in your life where you don’t get the ball back. You’ve got it now — run with it. Not out of desperation, but out of good cheer.
