The Hidden Language of Sales

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM654_MDM_Dec17_24.mp3   What “mind” are you speaking to during your sales calls?—the conscious mind or the unconscious mind? If you want to be great at sales, you have to learn to speak to someone’s unconscious mind—the emotional mind. That is where all buying decisions are made. A sales conversation is completely different than a typical, everyday conversation. In a normal conversation, you’re talking from one person’s conscious mind to the other person’s conscious mind. But sales is different. You have to speak directly to someone’s unconscious mind and ask the person one of the most intimate questions—“What do you want?” Doing this with the right tone, in the right context, can completely transform your sales results. In this episode you’ll learn: Why talking to someone’s conscious mind leads to pushback and rejectionThe 4 questions to ask during sales calls in order to speak to a person’s unconscious mind (this goes far beyond conscious resistance and taps into their emotional mind)How the coaching industry exploded, and now everybody wants to be a coach—and people with low self-esteem want recognition from being a coachHow many entrepreneurs are selling in order to be seen, heard, validated, and to get their basic needs met (not to influence, or because they really feel called to do it)Nobody buys anything because YOU think it’s a good idea—people do things for their own reasonsWhy you must be SILENT after asking a question on a sales call, and allow the other person to experience free flow from their unconscious mind while they answerWhen your ego gets involved, you get rejected and you feel hurt by the rejection—but if you were truly there to help someone, rejection wouldn’t matter Amazing salespeople study sales like a doctor studies medicine their whole life—they’re constantly getting better at it. If you want to get great at sales, stop speaking to someone’s conscious mind, and start speaking to their unconscious mind. Unlocking Your Inner Greatness

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM653_Unlocking_Your_Inner_Greatness.mp3   Recently I taught my clients who are in The Elite Mind Program a lesson about “greatness.” I taught that every person has greatness in them, and we all have a purpose for being here. Each of us must own our greatness and train ourselves to internalize the idea that we’re a great person. Why? Because this is the starting point for everything—including starting a business, growing a business, or reaching any big goal. I told my clients, “Tell yourself, ‘I’m a great person.’ Ask yourself, ‘What would a great person do in their life?’” After the lesson was over, I got 10-15 text messages from them, all asking me: “How do I know I’m great?” I realized they were asking this question because it didn’t feel true to them—they didn’t have an emotional feeling inside of themselves that they could connect this statement to. In today’s episode you’ll learn: How most people’s emotional state regulates their realityHow as children, almost everyone else has authority over us until we’re a certain ageAs adults, subconsciously we’re looking for a “transition of power” so that we know once we’ve accomplished somethingAt some point, you must become the authority of yourselfHow historically many cultures had rites of passage indicating substantial transitions in life—but in the West, we’ve largely gotten rid of those thingsHow most people look to their past wins, losses, rights, wrongs, ups, and downs to determine how they feel RIGHT NOW—and why that’s dangerous, (because what if you don’t have a great past?)How our desire gives us direction in life, and how we must BECOME the person who fulfills our purpose The truth is, we can decide at any moment that we’re great. Like God said in the Bible, “I am because I am.” This statement has tremendous power—“I am great.” It’s your responsibility and your choice as to what you’ll do with it. You’re great because you’re great. You don’t need to justify it. You don’t need anyone else’s approval or confirmation of it. Abagail Pumphrey – Boss Project

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM652_AbagailPumphrey.mp3   Abagail Pumphrey is the owner of Boss Project, a woman-owned education company & award-winning design agency that helps you design your business around your life (not the other way around.) She started as a freelancer, built an agency, and has since created a community of entrepreneurs worldwide who are building their own online businesses. Abagail educates people on how to create more sustainability, build more revenue, and save more time behind the scenes. In 2016, a year and a half into her business, Abagail was involved in a five-car collision that changed her life instantly. With a traumatic brain injury, she had a long five-year recovery. Forced to continue working in her business while she was recovering, she says, “I became incredibly aware of just how reliant the business I had built was on me.” Rebuilding from the ground up, Abagail designed a business that gave her more flexibility, that was less reliant on her, and could continue to thrive when life inevitably happens. In this episode we discuss: How business challenges you in every possible way, especially in the beginning—and it entails personal growthHow there are very few things we can do in business that are unchangeable—we can always pivot, change direction, make adjustments, and even potentially remove decisions we previously madeHow Abagail found herself burning out, giving every ounce of energy she had to running her business—and realizing how important it was to make her business less reliant on herselfHow making money lets you deal with problems without being consumed by the problemAbagail’s passion for helping people create more financial freedom, while building businesses that support the life they want—and how she helps entrepreneurs develop an “offer ecosystem” so they don’t have to compete against themselves for the same client with too many different offeringsHow business owners are look for “proof” that they can succeed—whether that’s through testimonials, sales, or their clients getting value or exceeding the goals they setThe biggest mindset hurdle Abagail thinks people need to get past in order to create ease and flow in their business Plus, we talk about the idea of “time freedom”—and why you don’t always have to be growing BIGGER in business (it’s all about what season you’re in).  The Strategy Hour Podcast BossProject.com CreativeTemplateShop.com Instagram – @BossProject  @AbagailSays Episode 320 – What’s Going to be Different This Year? Episode 232 – Building Your Self Image Episode 153 –  Build a Bigger Heart If you like the show, would you be so kind as to leave us a short review on Apple Podcasts? Take the Next Step and the Universe Will Respond

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM651_Take_the_Next_Step_and_the_Universe_Will_Respond.mp3   Every decision you make represents a step forward—and every step you take is a cause set in motion. When you make a decision, this causes God or the universe to respond and meet you where you are. But if you don’t take any steps forward because you don’t know all the steps—then you’ll stay stuck where you are. For example, if you’re looking out your living room window, the view is pretty much always the same. But if you take one step out your front door, your view changes. Every time you take a step forward, you gain a completely new view of what’s in front of you. That view is totally different, and you can see things at different angles. Success is the same way. You must take a step forward in order for new opportunities to reveal themselves. In this episode you’ll learn: Why going slower pays bigger results (e.g., when you’re hunting, if you move too fast, you’ll scare the game off)People often miss opportunities because they’re either making decisions to AVOID mistakes—or they’re rushing ahead, trying to get to the end result as fast as possible, while missing everything in betweenWhy many entrepreneurs quit school because they realize the rules they’re given at school don’t work for their dream—they’ve got to follow a different set of rulesThe biggest rule entrepreneurs follow is that it’s okay (and actually desirable) to make mistakesLife isn’t about avoiding mistakes—it’s about making as many mistakes as possible and learning from them No matter what your dream or vision is, you’ll always get what you need in order to say yes for the completion of your vision. But to do that, you must take the next step that’s in front of you. When God moves toward you, He’s giving you the how. Your job is to take the next step. If you don’t—because you don’t know the “how”—your life won’t change. You’ll become much like the person looking out the living room window and never changing the view. Immersion is Crucial for Mastery

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM650_Immersion_is_Crucial_for_Mastery.mp3   I’ve always said success is easy, and you were born to be a success. It’s easier to make $1 million than it is to make $100K. Success should never be difficult. The more we do, the easier it should be. The Universe can’t be “difficult,” because if it was, life would cease to exist. However, we’ve been taught and programmed to believe the opposite. Most of us were raised on the idea of trading time for money, working a job for someone else, and learning in the traditional school system—stair-stepping our way from one level to the next. We’re taught that “hard work” is what brings success. Once you start to immerse yourself in success principles, you can begin to see your world through a completely different lens where success is easy. Your mind will no longer look “to” something—it will start to look “from” it. Changing your mindset will allow you to think FROM the idea of success and see your world through that lens, rather than the “hard work” lens. In this episode you’ll learn: All difficulty associated with success and growing a business comes down to your mindset—if you think it’s hard, it will be hardIf you’re doing everything through the lens of “difficulty” and “hard work,” you’ll see everything as hardIn order to gain mastery, you must immerse yourself in new teachings and new ways of thinking—so that you can think FROM a concept, and see and recognize opportunities based on that knowledgeThe fastest way to gain mastery is through repetition, which expands your mind to see things you haven’t seen beforeHow the law of polarity can help you see opportunitiesThe idea of “God’s Step”—when you make a decision to do something, God or the Universe responds to your decisionYour mind takes the shape of whatever environment you’re in, whether it’s an environment of lack, debt, loss, dejectedness, the idea that you can’t do something, or anything else—your mind will begin to take on the shapes of those things Plus, I share a simple process you can apply right now, that will help you create success in your life. God (and the Universe) is not about things happening slowly. Things will happen as fast as they need to happen, once you make a decision. Student Spotlight: Jennifer Gore

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM649_JennGore.mp3   Jennifer Gore is the owner of Atlanta Personal Injury Law Group, based in Georgia. She also has a consulting business where she coaches lawyer entrepreneurs on how to scale their companies. And she’s a friend and former client of mine.  This past year, Jennifer’s company was named one of the best social media law firms in the U.S. Before she started coaching with me, her fear of being seen stopped her from stepping into all the things that were meant for her. She went from hiding and being in the background—to being one of the most well-known females in personal injury legal advertising. Getting over her fear of being seen transformed her company and brought her tons of opportunities.  In this episode we discuss:  Where Jennifer was in her business before I met her, where she is now, and the enormous amount of change, growth, and results she’s experienced since thenHow she remembers the initial coaching I gave her—that she was “wishy-washy” and “not clear” in the direction she wanted to go in lifeHow Jennifer broke out of the limiting beliefs that got absorbed into her subconscious mind, covering up her true natureWhy she believes “going into business is the greatest personal development undertaking you can ever go through”—because it brings up all your triggers, weak points, and fears, and it exposes all the areas where you need to growOvercoming mom guilt, letting go of the fear of judgment, and “owning” who you truly areHow the universal laws gave Jennifer a framework she could always go back to—“once you have that foundation, there’s no issue you can’t face,” she saysPlus, we discuss the importance of environment when it comes to growing a business. Being an entrepreneur, following your purpose, and doing what you came here to do often clashes with the friends, family, and social groups in your your current surroundings—because these people are often stuck and want everything to stay the same. You go from having everything in common with them, to having NOTHING in common—and this creates conflict. Jennifer shares how she overcame this in her own life. Navigating Change

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM648_Navigating_Change.mp3   We’re in the midst of great change in our country and all over the world, and most people aren’t prepared. Having been in business for almost 26 years, I’ve seen all kinds of major changes take place—including 9/11, the housing crisis in 2008, the pandemic, and more. Now that we’re in another great change, are you prepared? Have you trained your mind to see the opportunity? Can you adapt to the changes in order to come out better and stronger on the other side? If you’re not prepared, you’ll be reduced to the level of the problems showing up in your life. This happens when your mind isn’t trained to think about the opposite side of whatever you’re experiencing. People experience change in a negative way for 2 reasons—they’re either not prepared, or they’re preyed upon, based on the idea that they’re not prepared. If you’re unprepared, you’ll likely get stuck in the ideology of the opinions of the day. In this episode you’ll learn: How to navigate change and actually benefit from it (because change isn’t “bad” unless you’re only focusing on the bad part of it)Change is constant—we’ve always had good times and bad times throughout history; what determines whether they’re “good” or “bad” is the whole of the collectiveThe Law of Polarity governs everything in the universe—it states that everything, both physical and non-physical, has an equal and opposite side to it (you can’t have just one side of something)Pain, grieving, and loss are designed to be lessons, not a life sentenceAll change presents a lesson to us—if we know how to think, we can think through the lesson and become a more skilled, aware person on the other sideYou can train your mind to THINK in order to see the upside and the downside of any circumstanceWhy you should keep advancing your skills and never stay where you are—keep getting better at sales, marketing, team building, and problem solving, so you can navigate problems that will hit all of usHow your perception controls your experience—change your perception, and you’ll change your life If you can look at your circumstance and remove the judgment from it, you’ll start to see the opportunity. To help you navigate change, embrace your power by asking, “What do I want?” Episode 642 – You’re a Natural Born Salesperson Episode 568 – The Recession Cycle & How to Navigate the Negative Inside Episode 342 –  Let Spirit Lead If you like the show, would you be so kind as to leave us a short review on Apple Podcasts? Student Spotlight: Sara & Hisham Khaki

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM647_Sara_HishamKhaki.mp3   Today I’m interviewing Sara and Hisham Khaki, a married couple who are previous clients of mine. Sara is the founding partner of Atlanta Divorce Law Group, which helps people make empowered choices for themselves and exit toxic marriages. Her firm’s success has allowed her to create adventures and support her family, including their three children, while challenging others in the community to do the same. Hisham is the founder of ShiftSwap. Formerly a “corporate robot,” he climbed the corporate ladder year after year and felt drained—until he and his wife realized they wanted something different for their lives. That’s when Sara started her first law firm. Together they’ve achieved huge success by learning how to let go of hard work and competition, and go after their desires. In this episode we discuss: Sara’s initial success strategy—“work harder, beat everyone, and compete with everything”—and how this approach left her feeling like a loser, frustrated, drained, not present, and able to support Hisham emotionallyHow Sara got coaching on her first law firm, but none of the technical steps helped her, because she was so unaware of the internal sabotage patterns running her mindHow Sara broke all of her own patterns and instincts, and learned to have faith in MY faith in herHisham’s experience attending my 2016 seminar and being mind-blown—especially when I asked him, “What do you want?”How culturally, most men have never been asked, “What do you want?”—and have never had an opportunity to build a vision for themselves (they were raised to follow what somebody else wants; and they can’t lead themselves or their own family)How I coached Sara and Hisham to create a unified vision—and how they knew it was a core value for their marriage to have adventuresSara and Hisham’s story illustrates that you don’t need to work harder, compete, or try to beat the next guy—because THAT strategy only brings diminishing returns. All you have to do is focus on what you desire and get in alignment with your vision and your purpose. God works through our desire. Following your desire opens up new doors and rocket-ships you to a totally different level. Everything you want comes with grace and ease. The Importance of Personal Power

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM646_Importance_of_Personal_Power.mp3   There are so many things in the world that can drain your personal power—including objections during a sales call. If you don’t know how to handle objections, you can end up feeling disempowered. Sales is the #1 skill set you must learn in order to be in charge of your income. Most people are taught they have to get a job to make money and that their employer has more control over their income than they do. But that’s not true. If you master sales, you can master money—and by mastering money, you become extremely empowered. Universal law, scriptural law, and scientific law all state that in order to receive anything (including money), you have to give. During a sales call, you’re not trying to “get” anything”—you’re giving someone an opportunity to better their life with your product or service, while helping them get clear on whether their decision is a “yes” or a “no.” In this episode you’ll learn: Why your sense of power is so important to you, in business and in lifeMy unique approach to teaching sales and how my job is to influence a person into one of two lanes of thought—either, “I’m 100% in my yes,” or “I’m 100% in my no”Trying to “get” money puts you in a disempowered position—and if you believe money is “out there somewhere,” then you have a disconnected relationship with moneyWhy most people don’t actually want to make more money, because they’re not willing to let go of their beliefs about how the world worksWhy competition makes everything fall apart in business—and why you should focus on being a benefit to people insteadMoney is not elusive—it’s everywhere; you just need to learn the skill set of sales to empower yourselfEverything beneficial to humanity is supposed to circulate—if circulation stops, stagnation takes over; then everything breaks down There’s nothing better than making a sale where a person is 100% “IN”—they’re happy to pay you, they see the value in working with you and developing that relationship—and everybody wins. It’s also an amazing, spiritual experience to be someone who has money to pay for things you want to pay for, while telling yourself, “I feel worthy of paying this money.” Episode 441 – A Propensity for Prosperity & Why I Pay Full Price Episode 276 – Change Your Money Mindset Episode 23 – The Price We Pay The Art of Success Summit The Elite Mind Program Days Hours Minutes Seconds If you like the show, would you be so kind as to leave us a short review on Apple Podcasts? Student Spotlight: Dr. Vincent Bubolo

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM645_VinceBubolo.mp3   Today my guest is Dr. Vincent Bubolo, a business owner, consultant, and entrepreneur who has owned, operated, and created several successful multimillion dollar businesses. He’s partnered and consulted with numerous business owners in industries such as medical, e-commerce, litigation and medical funding, real estate consulting, and more. Many of these generate monthly revenues over $1 million. Based in Atlanta, Bubolo Care takes a proactive approach to healthcare. They seek to help the patient as a whole, rather than trying to hook them on meds for life. They prioritize customer service and the “human touch,” while providing general practice, behavioral health, all medications, and lifestyle meds including weight loss, hormones, and aesthetics—all at cost, so that patients can afford the care they need. Dr. Vincent is my client. He started at my Art of Success Summit in 2018—when he was “still living in a scared mentality.” Over time, he began to think differently. His multiple companies have each grown 6-7 times bigger. For the first time ever, he’s “loving the process” and is “not afraid of the process.” In this episode we discuss: How many diseases like cancer, diabetes, and heart disease are preventable if you’re making the right lifestyle choicesThe #1 reason for bankruptcy in the United States—medical billsHow so many people make life-and-death decisions based on how much money they have (including my uncle)How the current healthcare system is reactive (when you get sick, you call your doctor)—and how today’s medical authorities and the government have completely removed the idea of exercise as part of the equation to getting healthyHow the pharmaceutical industry promotes the idea that if you’re overweight, you cannot lose weight without medication—and CEOs of major pharmaceutical companies have basically said, “Our goal is to have these people on medication for life”How numerous of patients have awful insurance, insanely high deductibles, or their insurance companies are constantly fighting not to pay for claims Plus, we discuss the “financial set point” and why most people are programmed to under-earn and settle for a life they don’t truly want. Dr. Vincent shares how he bought a Lamborghini Huracan, and why his kids have never flown in coach. “I believe in creating the mentality of ‘I deserve to be in first class; I will never settle for less; and that’s the way we live,” he says.
