Harnessing our ADHD Intuition and Inner Wisdom
Trusting our native intuition, learning about how our gut feelings show up, and harnessing and accessing more of it can be vital energy for those of us who are neurodivergent and often think only with our (busy!) minds.Having such overactive brains means we can often detach from our bodies and gut or intuitive feelings and become burdened with self-doubt. By trusting in our deep intuition and inner wisdom, we can give our brains and overthinking some time out and go back within and learn to trust our body's signalling. This week’s guest is Dr Robyn Mckay. An authority on spiritual intelligence, Robyn McKay is a top advisor to high EQ executives and leaders at Fortune 500 companies and elite-level performers in entrepreneurship, sports and entertainment.Robyn is known as a “whole brain” coach and has a PhD in counselling psychology, where she studied diverse concepts ranging from spiritual intelligence and personal development to positive psychology and creativity. Her distinct range of tools that span from the spiritual to the scientific serves as the baseline for her unique approach to transformational leadership and innovation. On today's ADHD Women's Wellbeing Podcast, Kate and Dr Robyn spoke about:How to be an intuitive channelADHD diagnosis later on in lifeWhy ADHD and having a deep intuition are so closely connectedUsing our ADHD as a strength Accessing your intuition and guidance Connecting inwards and tapping into the bigger part of who we areWhy neurodiverse people are good at making decisions quicklyThe intuitive skills neurodiverse people have & how to utilise themUsing our ' creative flow' to channel Sign up for Kate's new ADHD Energy and Mindset Reprogramme waitlist here.To find out more about Dr Robyn’s work, you can find her on:https://drrobynmckay.comKate Moryoussef is a women’s ADHD Lifestyle & Wellbeing coach and EFT practitioner helping overwhelmed yet unfulfilled (many with ADHD like her) women find more calm, balance, health, compassion, creativity and clarity. Processing and Healing After a Late-in-Life ADHD Diagnosis
Acceptance and self-compassion play a huge part in processing our late-in-life ADHD diagnosis.Piecing together the various components to which we have attributed shame and judgement and reframing that through an updated neurodivergent lens does take time, healing and patience.
