Listen, running an agency is no joke. There are SO many things going on behind the scenes that people don't see. But how are you ensuring that your clients are your top priority, and they feel delighted?
Here are some ways to surprise and delight your agency clients.
#1. Make your clients feel like they are your only client. Like most digital marketing agencies, you’re drowning in emails, meetings timelines and to-do lists every day. You’re juggling clients and their projects, doing everything to make their businesses successful—but you don’t have time to make each client feel like your only client, let alone find time to build your business. We get it. We’ve been there, and we weren’t okay with our clients (or our business) taking second place to their projects. Now, clients are our first (and only) priority. We take care of them so you can take care of business. In this episode, we'll fill you in on ways we make clients feel like they're the only client in the agency!

The Systems We Ensure Every Agency Has
Systems are the backbone of any successful agency, we all know this. But how do we ensure each agency we're working with has the right systems so that we can jump in and keep their clients happy?
Firstly, we look at the client onboarding system. This is one of the most important systems because it's the first experience the client has when they start working with your agency. If you don't have a client onboarding system already and your agency, click here to download ours. Inside of this client onboarding system, we look for certain elements, which you'll hear all about in this episode.
Next up, we look at the ongoing management of the clients. A big part of our role as a Client Account Manager is to keep clients happy on an ongoing basis, so here are some questions:
where are we going to be sending reports? How often?
Who is responsible for each piece of the reporting puzzle?
Do we have email and reporting templates in place?
These are all really important things to keeping clients happy on an ongoing basis.
Next, is gifts! Who doesn't love receiving something in the mail? If we have something systematized, most likely inside of the agency's project management software, where we as a Client Account Manager are responsible for sending gifts, this makes it sooo much easier for us to manage the relationship! Also, when it comes down to resigning the contract in 3 months, it's more promising they'll extend their contract when we've had the chance to WOW the client & build a relationship over an extended period.

48. Agency Chats: The Creation of SOUP with Amanda Perry
Learn how Amanda Perry turned her agency, SOUP, from two employees to now 27 (with hundreds of clients) all amidst the global pandemic. She also is spearheading a community for agency owners looking to get started in the e-commerce world to help them find their footing. Hello trailblazer!
We were dying to know her secret sauce, and while it can't always be calculated out, Amanda credits a few keys things you need when growing your operation:
A growth mindset: Seems obvious, but you need a willingness to invest time in reflecting on your mindset and appetite for growth.
A positive attitude with gratitude: It's so important to be upbeat and constantly reflecting on what you are grateful for.
Confidence and resilience: You can't be afraid to take chances and fail or shy away from tapping into big successes. Comparison is the killer of confidence. Stay focused on you and let the competition do their thing— there is an abundance of agencies but only one YOU. Focus on that and get comfortable being surrounded by others chasing their dreams, too.
"You don't have to have all the answers, you just have to be confident to approach things with a different lens."
