14: Why I love these 2 functional tests together
In this episode I tell you what my two favourite functional tests are that I keep coming back to time and time again. These are tried and true tests that give us SO much valuable information that really helps no matter what your symptoms are. I've been in this industry a while now and I've used and learned about a lot of functional tests. 13: Why you shouldn't self supplement. A heads up for those taking vitamin D, DIM or selenium.
On this episode I'm talking about self supplementing and why this can sometimes be dangerous. We'll dive into vitamin D, DIM, and selenium. There are other supplements to be wary of too, but a lot of women are taking these particular three so I wanted to get you thinking about whether you really should be and how to know for sure. Blindly supplementing without testing can be problematic and these - albeit "natural" - health supplements that are easy to come by may not always be completely benign. 12: So, you think you've "tried everything" eh?
In this episode I challenge the notion of; "I've tried everything". You see, I hear this a lot from women but the truth is, often they've not actually tried "everything" - and this should give them hope. There's often so much more to explore and I explain it all in this episode. I go down the list of things you must look at before you say "I've tried everything!". See how many you can tick off. You're NOT destined to live in pain, or with mood swings, or with debilitating PMS, or with headaches, or with fatigue, and so on. 11: Is mold playing a role in your health issues with Jo Lia from No Tox Rox

I explain why I love this particular gut test, what it shows us, what some of these markers mean, and why it's so important to run gut testing on yourself - even if you don't have GI symptoms. I also explain why I believe a hormone test alone is never enough - yes, even when we're working to balance our hormones! In fact, a hormone test is not the first test I would recommend when you're working to balance your hormones - and I explain why on this episode. 006: Iron: Why ferritin isn't a good marker & the dangers of iron supplements
On this episode of the podcast I talk about iron. Iron can be very dangerous if you don't need it, and ferritin alone isn't a good marker for determining whether or not you have an iron deficiency. If you're taking iron supplements based on one ferritin reading then this is a must-listen.
