19: What is Oromyofacial Therapy? with Robynann Williams
On this episode I spoke with Oromyofacial Myologist and Speech Therapist, Robynann Williams. This episode was mind-blowing! We spoke about how the tongue is connected to your face structure, your breathing, even your toes! We spoke about teeth clenching, (it's not all parasites and stress related) and how your tongue position can affect your hunched shoulders as well as back and neck tension. We also spoke about tongue tie and the epidemic of small jaws and elongated face shapes and why this is ocurring - and how to prevent it. This is a must-listen also for those with crowded teeth too. She helps midlife women break free from the mainstream way of thinking where disease and decline are accepted as an inevitable part of aging ~ and embrace the notion that it’s absolutely possible to feel vibrant, happy, healthy, balanced, and strong through midlife and beyond. 14: Why I love these 2 functional tests together
In this episode I tell you what my two favourite functional tests are that I keep coming back to time and time again. These are tried and true tests that give us SO much valuable information that really helps no matter what your symptoms are. I’ve been in this industry a while now and I’ve used and learned about a lot of functional tests. 12: So, you think you've "tried everything" eh?
In this episode I challenge the notion of; "I've tried everything". You see, I hear this a lot from women but the truth is, often they've not actually tried “everything" - and this should give them hope. There's often so much more to explore and I explain it all in this episode. I go down the list of things you must look at before you say “I’ve tried everything!”. See how many you can tick off. You're NOT destined to live in pain, or with mood swings, or with debilitating PMS, or with headaches, or with fatigue, and so on. Before you conclude that you’re a “lost cause” (you’re not), listen to this episode.
