Alex wants to challenge you to go through an exercise that has saved him nearly $5,000 in recurring monthly expenses. The book, Profit First, was a game changer for Alex's business and on this week's episode; he shows you why. Stop focusing on the top line, and place that focus on the bottom line! In the book, you go through an exercise where you print out your Profit & Loss statement (P&L), and determine if the expense contributes to profit, can be replaced with a cheaper alternative, or can be completely eliminated. Alex printed out his P&L from January 1st, 2019 till now and marked down all the unnecessary expenses or cheaper alternatives his business could use. As the holidays come up, Alex spends some time reflecting on some of the advice that has made a big impact on his life. Through learning and reading from others, Alex walks you through the steps on how to create an action plan that actually works so that this time next year, you will be one step closer to creating a fantastic life with purpose. Alex has five tips for you today on how to develop an action plan and make it REAL. First and foremost — you have to know what you want. Write down one main goal for every area in your life. Write down a due date on when you will achieve this. Think about the acronym SMART when planning out your goals. SMART = Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely. Write down three action steps that you have to take INSTANTLY that will make progress towards your goals. Ask yourself these three questions: What do I need to learn? What do I need to believe? And what do I need to do to ensure I achieve my goals? Now, once you're done with these four steps, get to work! Schedule the time so you don't make excuses for yourself. Mike Wagner is a self-storage real estate expert and has transformed his life through deliberate and purposeful action. As a Lifeonaire member, Mike shares why he decided that it was better to take a loss on his single-family rental portfolio in order to transition into a more stress-free self-storage portfolio. Mike has been in real estate since 2007 and purchased his first self-storage in 2011. He shares some of his storage numbers and where you can find some of these lucrative deals.
