275. What practising simplicity means with Jodi Wilson

Would you say your life embraces simplicity? Today is an invitation to do that more, with author Jodi Wilson, whose book, Practising Simplicity tells the tale of how she found ways to embrace simplicity in all its, well, simplicity. While for her it looked like packing up a busy, urban life and jumping in a caravan, destination: Australia, she very much cautions against copying someone else's exploration and finding what simplicity means to you. There is no prescription in this conversation, only an invitation to feel less rushed, more fulfilled and grateful, and more aligned with nature when you're urban, in the country and everywhere in between. 274. Terramation: Turning Death into Life.

This week, a heads up that in this episode we talk about death and dying a lot so if this is raw for you right now, you might want to skip it and I'm sending you strength and hugs. Micah Truman and Brie Smith from Return Home discuss how they're making an impact on the planet and on the grieving process for the families they support as their loved ones pass away, by creating a system by which families can move through the grieving produce for weeks by their loved ones' side, and receive the gift of fertile soil at the end of that process. I found it fascinating and it just made so much sense to me as I learnt about how it works and what kind of experiences the families have in the process. I think in a culture that has taboos around death and dying and shame around grief, it's time for a new conversation and way forward I interview. Enjoy the show asnd I can't wait to hear what you think. Head to the show notes for more details and extra resources over at lowtoxlife.com/podcastSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information. Enter the ever positive and can-do Nicole Shauder who will convince you otherwise - including a step by step sprout-growing tutorial for your kitchen table! 271. Melanie Salmon: Healing trauma with QEC

Is trauma informing your current physical and emotional state? Are there challenges you're finding emotionally or physically too hard to overcome no matter what you try? I am always fascinated by any techniques that support people on their healing journeys and coming across Dr Melanie Salmon's work makes me feel lucky to be able to then share that with you on the show in the hope that it might support healing and a deep sense of wellbeing for listeners in our community. After being a GP for 40 years, Melanie wanted to be able to offer patients who weren't healing with the tools available to her as a doctor so she studied psychotherapy and became a Gestalt therapist. Feeling that talk therapy also had its limitations, she went on a quest to see what might be able to do better, still and so, she developed something herself, QEC, which now sees coaches all around the world carrying out this life-changing therapy with people online. She is passionate about healing trauma and building internal resilience using the power of the subconscious mind. Bringing together the power of human connection with neuroscience, Quantum Energy Coaching (QEC) works to free you from past trauma, internal stress and the effects of self-limiting beliefs. 267. Step into YOU with Lorraine Murphy

Do you remember a time where you felt really ‘you'. In flow? Maybe a great sense of boundless energy? The sense that there was something really motivating to wake up for each day in work, love, life? To kick off the new year I invite Lorraine Murphy, author of 3 wonderful books in the past centred around productivity, and now with a new book Step Into You, to discuss this - we talk about alarm bells that things are not going well and you need to pay attention - LOVE Lorraine's analogy on this, and also talk about some of the tools we can use to bring ourselves back to ourselves - not entirely easy with all the demands that come up in life, often with the busy-ness clouding our own filtering and awareness of when things might not be best for us! Enjoy the first show of 2022 and head to the show notes for more details on the book and this week's sponsor, over at lowtoxlife.com/podcastSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
