I hope you can join us.---- Eeek! I felt a little uncomfortable recording this episode about charging for webinars, because it goes against the grain of consistent advice from other business mentors. But I think it's an important topic to cover with some depth.Let's discuss why I don't (often) recommend charging for webinars.I know there's a groundswell of charging people for webinars, and it's commonly said that if people buy one thing from you, they're far more likely to buy another thing. There is a lot of logic behind why charging for webinars is such a good idea and why it is believed to be an amazing strategy. But some of that logic is outdated. And a lot of the data is flawed and not relevant to our businesses today.I'm going to lay out why I don't generally recommend it, and what I would recommend doing instead. And yes, I'll probably regret recording this episode because I'm going to get a bunch of #buttashes. But I am totally up for that conversation. Have a listen, and we can continue the conversation over on Facebook or Instagram.Let's do it shall we? The common reasons for charging for webinars - and myths debunkedSpecific strategies that work better for online businesses, and working with marginalised peopleThe business case for when to charge for webinars and challengesWhy I'm charging for the next Client Attraction ChallengeFULL SHOW NOTES AND ARTICLE: tashcorbin.com/394Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!

#392: Are you giving too much away? Sharing your value, secrets and processes - #TASHMAS Day 12

Full Shownotes available: tashcorbin.com/392 Fair warning – this is the last #tashmas episode of the podcast for this round…. which means:It went longer than the others – but it’s also more in-depth as I’m answering a complex question with a thorough answerI got pretttyyyyy passionate about this one – we have heard several horror stories in our community these past few months from members who have given a lot of money to people who used and taught agitation-based marketing, along with other toxic and manipulative practices. I couldn’t help but get passionate to be honest, because I had those people and their stories top of mind at the time.I cry at the end, and that means for some reason, I say ‘Let me know if you have any questions’ at least times – I think my brain started to go a little haywire at the end. Hopefully you can laugh at it!So what are we talking about? At the core of this episode, I cover how to navigate the fear of giving away too much information, or helping people too much for free. I receive questions about giving away too much free information regularly inside my programs and on FB Live Q&As, so I thought it would be helpful to give a particularly thorough response and explanation as to why I approach it differently. This also means I need to cover:How to share your ‘value’ without giving away too much informationHow to navigate telling your ‘secret’ insights for free, or holding them back for paying clients onlyThe difference between outcome-only marketing, and process-forward marketing, and the layers of consent, logic and emotion in decision-makingHow to navigate all of this through a heart-centred and consent-based marketing perspective. It’s a juicy one – so let’s do it.Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!

#388: IWD2024: What's gender got to do with it? - #TASHMAS Day 8

You might be wondering why I specifically focus my work to support women and non-binary folk…Or why the Heart-Centred community and my conferences are for women and non-binary folk only…So I wanted to share that with you today, on International Women’s Day, to give more insight and context to that decision.I don’t make that decision lightly – and it does mean I get push-back from time to time. But my decision is clear and my resolve is strong (for now), that it’s absolutely needed.PLUS I have a very tangible and free way I can support the women and non-binary listeners today! I would LOVE to follow you! And … we can all follow each other to provide really practical support, but ALSO because if there’s something I want or need to buy, I would rather buy it from a member of this community than from ANYWHERE else… And I know lots of people feel the same way. Come on over to THIS POST and share a 2-3 sentence introduction of your business, and the link to your FB Page or Instagram profile – whichever you’d prefer us to follow.Tashmas Day 9 is about social media and how I built my business with a 20-mins-per-day strategy, so that will help you ensure you’re making the most of the extra followers too!Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!

#386: Client Attraction Process self-assessment - #TASHMAS Day 6

Chances are, if you’ve listened to me talk about marketing before, you’ve heard me talk about the Client Attraction Process. It’s a structured way of understanding and improving the journey that people take from finding you somewhere, somehow, to eventually buying from you. By breaking it down, you’re more likely to be able to spot the bottlenecks in the flow, but you’re also LESS likely to get overly focused on the thing that contributes the LEAST to your business growth and sales (REACH).This episode is a PERFECT follow-on from Tashmas Day 4 – and will help you self-assess where you can focus your strategy to increase sales (without necessarily having to get in front of more and more strangers on the internet!!!)I’m running the 5-day Client Attraction Challenge again!!!And it’s particularly exciting because it’s going to have its own community this time around… and it’s been updated and improved to be EVEN MORE effective and EVEN MORE streamlined in helping you to attract and convert clients from online channels… in just FIVE DAYS.Join now at tashcorbin.com/client - the sooner you join, the cheaper it is! Let me know your thoughts via our Text FanMail!
