#072: Hurt People, Hurt People - Solo Episode
We have all been treated badly to some extent—by our parents, our partners, our exes, our old friends, by the narcissists of the world. But once we’ve identified where we’ve been victimized, our job is to step beyond being a victim of the world and reclaim our power. Our work is to look within and enquire into what it is within us that allows painful dynamics to continue in our lives. What is it that stops us from setting boundaries, from saying ‘no’ to things that make us feel unloved, from claiming our right to be fully worthy? This week we explore all aspects of waking up to our worth and importantly how healed people heal people.

#070: All About You - What Do You Really Want? - Solo Episode
In the new "All About You" series, I am reading your letters and diving deep into tough questions from you about your relationships, love, and what you really want from life. To begin I touch on my current journey—how I am learning to let go of the future I thought I would have and give space to the new and unknown in my life. I then cover some challenging and common situations that you have written to me about: the ex that promises to change, the new partner that is still seeing their ex, the partner that works too much, and not feeling the same about marriage and kids as our partner. I so appreciate the opportunity to know what is on your heart and I thank you for sharing this with me and everyone who will benefit from hearing your story. I'm really excited about this new format, so please share with me your thoughts and feelings on how this resonated for you. If you have a letter for a podcast you can share it via the 'Ask Mark' tab at the link in my Instagram bio. Big love to you!

#069: This Is The Work - Solo Episode
This moment isn’t an obstacle—however hard it is, this moment is always the path and the opportunity to come home to yourself. We are all spiritual beings in human being bodies. So who are you when the masks are dropped? Who are you underneath the roles, jobs, stories and busyness of life? Who are you when you really sit in the truth of your existence? If we just sit in this moment we can finally rejoin our inner stillness—the silence that contains all the answers, the truth, the essence of who we are. I recorded this as an invitation for you to stop running, to be still and rejoin your soul on this journey home.

#068: Mark’s First "Girlfriend" Tells Her Story with Michelle Dow
Okay, “girlfriend” might be a strong term…but either way, I am so grateful that Michelle Dow, the first woman I “dated”, agreed to come on my podcast and share her story. Michelle and I go way back to childhood and I’d like to say we were both each other's first love and heartbreak, but I think I that story lives a little more on my side than hers. Last year, I shared some of my feelings about our breakup, and today Michelle calls me out for not contacting her first to discuss it. So this episode is as real as they come. This is about Michelle’s story, how she experienced me and our breakup and how she feels about it all today. I super appreciate her being open to having this conversation, it was a lot of fun and I think you’ll enjoy it too.

#066: Learning To Let Go with Emma Tait
When I was asked to speak on grief, I knew immediately Emma Tait would be the ideal guest for this show. Emma Tait is the driving force behind much of Create The Love, she not only keeps our team together but so much of my life too. Emma walks us through the essentially undefinable path of grief. In her gentle but clear way, she shows us how the answer is found in accepting there is no answer, that sometimes the only way to make sense of life is to see there is no making sense. Emma shares her personal story of loss and how much she has learned to surrender to grief and pain, and in doing so, letting it move through - allowing it to come and go - rather than becoming stuck in the storyline. If you are trying to make sense of any kind of grief this episode is full of lessons for you.

#063: Bringing Cheating Out of the Shadows with Connor Beaton
Not only is Connor Beaton the creator of ManTalks, he is also one of my closest friends! This week Connor joins me to discuss all the things men don’t usually talk about. Connor shares his journey of living with lies, how he hid so many parts of himself, lied about his failing career, and cheated on previous partners to find external validation. We dive deep into the shadow, that is -- the aspects of ourself that we are ashamed of and/or reject, and we look at how hitting rock bottom is often the starting point to finally telling the truth. Once we begin to see and speak the truth, there is no going back. From perpetual liar, to avid truth-teller, Connor proves that ‘once a cheater always a cheater’ is a shame-based myth.
