Building a Big Real Estate Business Doing the Boring Work

Building a Big Real Estate Business Doing the Boring Work with Tina Caul   Tina Caul is the CEO of the Caul Group which is one of the top five real estate teams at EXP Globally. She’s built her entire business by mastering the little things and doing them over and over again until they became big parts of her success.   In this episode, we talk about mastering the mundane, holding yourself accountable, being patient, and so much more.   My biggest takeaway from this episode was when Tina said that she “finally had the guts to design her life” the way she wanted to live it. This is something most people simply do not do but once you realize just how much control you have over the outcomes you’re seeking, it changes everything.   The first 27 years of Tina’s life she felt like she was flying an airplane and didn’t have a pilot. Once she discovered manifestation, writing out her goals, and feeling her feelings, she and her husband started to take control of their life and she built the life she had always dreamed of.   In my own experience, when you have a very clear picture of what you want your life to look like, the work gets a lot easier, even if it’s boring. That said, there are things you can do to discipline yourself to get the work done and be consistent in doing it. For example, intentional suffering is one of the greatest things you can build into your daily routine becasue like Tina said in this interview, “You don’t get what you want, you get what you are.” If you don’t feel like you can handle the work that is coming at you to be successful in real estate then, like David Goggins says, “you have to invent someone who can.”   Intentional suffering can help mold you into the person you need to become to “make it”, no matter what you’re doing.   This episode is full of nuggets. Get your pen and paper out and be ready to take some notes.   FOLLOW TINA:   FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM   FOLLOW ME:  Facebook  Instagram YouTube Twitter   The post Building a Big Real Estate Business Doing the Boring Work first appeared on Grant Wise.

Growing to Over 5400 Agents by Focusing on Culture with James Dwiggins & Keith Robinson

https://likegrantwise.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/EP8-AUDIO-ONLY.mp3 Growing to Over 5400 Agents Focusing on Culture with James Dwiggins & Keith Robinson   Can you scale culture?   James Dwiggins, the Founder & CEO of Next Home, and Keith Robinson, the Chief Strategy Officer believe so. I was interviewed recently by James and Keith and had such a good time that I had to invite them to the show. You can watch my interview with them here.   Not only have they built an extraordinary company but they are two great guys that care about the real estate industry, a lot.   In this episode, we talk about how simply caring about people can have an enormous impact on your business. Next Home has done a phenomenal job at focusing on the human in the business, whether that’s the agent who works for their organization or the human buying a house. They’ve even popularized Humans Over Houses in their pursuit of building a human-centered real estate brokerage. This is an incredible example to follow if you are a real estate agent who knows you’ve got to manage the perception in the community surrounding real estate agents. If you go to www.humansoverhouses.com you can see a great example of how to build a consumer-focused campaign to grow your business.   We also dive deep into trust.   It’s never been more important to develop trust in the marketplace and what Keith & James believe is that if you can over-communicate with your audience, you can develop a greater trust in people. It’s ok to now have the answers to every question but by giving people a place to have an open dialogue, you can gain more influence because you’re developing a greater trust with the consumer.   Real estate is changing and James & Keith are helping lead that charge in a big way to protect our industry.   Leave a review on your favorite podcast platform and give James & Keith a follow.   FOLLOW JAMES:   FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM   FOLLOW KEITH:   FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM   FOLLOW NEXT HOME:   FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM   FOLLOW ME:  Facebook  Instagram YouTube Twitter   The post Growing to Over 5400 Agents by Focusing on Culture with James Dwiggins & Keith Robinson first appeared on Grant Wise.

From Zero to 200 Sales in Less Than Two Years with Kendall Bonner

https://likegrantwise.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/EP7-AUDIO-ONLY.mp3 From Zero to 200 Sales in Less Than Two Years with Kendall Bonner   Ever wish you could avoid making so many mistakes when building your real estate business?   A lesson Kendall Bonner learned early in life from her mom was that you didn’t have to–you could learn from the mistakes of other people and avoid some of the pitfalls of achieving success.   One of my favorite quotes (after years of learning things the hard way) was, “dumb people don’t learn from their mistakes, smart people learn from their mistakes, but geniuses learn from the mistakes of others.”   Kendall knew when she was headed into a new market with no presence, no contacts, and no team that she would have to learn from other greats in the real estate industry if she would be able to fast-track her success and that’s exactly what she did.   Surrounded herself with other great leaders, implemented what she learned and observed, and went from zero to 200 sales in less than two years!   In this episode of The Grant Wise Show, we dove deep into exactly how she grew her team so quickly with online leads amongst other best business practices. Get your notepads ready and be ready to take some of her top tactics and apply them to your business!   FOLLOW KENDALL:   FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM   FOLLOW ME:  Facebook  Instagram YouTube Twitter    The post From Zero to 200 Sales in Less Than Two Years with Kendall Bonner first appeared on Grant Wise.

The Power of a Personal Brand with Dustin Brohm

https://likegrantwise.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/EP6-AUDIO-ONLY.mp3 The Power of a Personal Brand with Dustin Brohm   A few years ago, I had an exciting experience. I was on a stage, speaking to a big group of people. Suddenly, an agent in the audience stood up to ask me a question. This agent was curious and wanted some advice.   The question was, “What is the one thing an agent can do today that they would be happy they did two years from now?”    I didn’t need to think long. I quickly answered, “Build a personal brand.” Creating a special image or idea about yourself that people will remember and like. It’s like making yourself into a character in a book or a hero in a movie. People should think of you when they need help buying or selling a house because you’ve made your name synonymous with real estate.    I recently got a chance to meet and talk with someone special, Dustin Brohm. Dustin is the creator of ‘The Massive Agent Podcast.’ His show recently went over 1M downloads!    Dustin and I talked about his journey in this industry and how he went from someone brand new struggling to make it to a coach many agents look up to in real estate.   We dove deep into building a personal brand and what that means. This is a relationship-based business and your brand is the relationship that you are building with the market you serve.    Dustin and I spent some talking about how to prioritize your life and something I admire about Dustin is how he puts his family first no matter what. As he admits in this episode, he’s “probably leaving money on the table” but he knows that he’ll never get the time back he’s getting now with his kids and it’s not something everyone has the strength or courage to do. I personally think it’s admirable.    You will have so many opportunities to grow in this business and it’s not always easy to navigate when it is or isn’t the right time to do something but Dustin’s story will teach you how to lean in and trust yourself.    You might win some and you might lose some but in the end, you will learn and you will grow. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about making progress. If you can do that, you’ll be able to look back in the end and be proud of what you’ve built.    This episode is full of some gems. Make sure you’re ready to take notes!   FOLLOW DUSTIN:   FACEBOOK INSTAGRAM   FOLLOW ME:  Facebook  Instagram YouTube Twitter   The post The Power of a Personal Brand with Dustin Brohm  first appeared on Grant Wise.

https://likegrantwise.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/REVISED-EP3-AUDIO-ONLY.mp3 Developing a Marketing Message that Matters with Mary Davis   Do you have a market-to-message match right now with everything going on in real estate?   I caught up with Mary Davis, the Director of Marketing for the Beer Home Team. In 2021 The Beer Home Team was ranked #1 Globally for GCI at EXP. They’ve sold over 700 houses in a single year and have grown from $200M a year in annual production to over $600M a year.   In this episode, Mary breaks down how they did it and much of it centers on having the right marketing message when building a preeminent brand in your community.   Your brand isn’t just a logo or your business cards. It’s the specific message that you are communicating to the market that articulates your value. Should you use guarantees? Do you have the right risk reversal for the consumers?   Communicating with the market in the right way will generate curiosity and it will make the phone ring.   Watch and listen to this episode to learn how to tell your story the right way so you can take your real estate business to the next level!   FOLLOW MARY:  Facebook Instagram   FOLLOW ME:  Facebook  Instagram YouTube Twitter    The post Developing a Marketing Message that Matters first appeared on Grant Wise.

Helping Ordinary Real Estate Agents Build Extraordinary Businesses

https://likegrantwise.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/GW-Show-EP1-PODCAST-AUDIO-FILE-ONLY.mp3 Grant Wise is an entrepreneur born into poverty who spent most of his childhood dreaming of a better life for his family, even if that meant he would need to go build one himself. Growing up he wanted to be a professional baseball player. He wanted to play in big games, he wanted to make a lot of money so he could have a big house for his family, and ultimately wanted his name to mean something. After several injuries took Grant out of the game he decided to give business a try. Grant would go on to make good money but would go on to make some bad choices both in business and in his personal life which led him to bankruptcy at the age of 23. After losing everything Grant met his now wife and step-daughter and decided to change. Grant started working and was introduced to something called Direct Response Marketing. It was this idea that he could essentially put $1 into a “business” and get more money back out of it. He decided to try it out. Grant put $1 into advertising and got $49 back! He became obsessed, not only with seeing if he could keep getting the same types of results but also with teaching other people how to do the same thing. He started showing real estate agents how to put $1 into advertising and get $8, $12, $15, and for some even $25 back in return. He used these strategies to build a few multi-million businesses and after years of hard work Grant had helped thousands of realtors from all over the world sell billions of dollars of real estate but he found one huge problem… The real estate agent’s business model had one major fundamental flaw. When an agent spends money on advertising they may not get that money back for months or even years, if they ever do. This means that most agents are limited by what they can spend on advertising. If Grant could figure out how to solve this problem then not only could he continue helping them get new clients but he could zero out their cost to get new customers. This would give them an infinite return on their marketing spend and would put their marketing dollars back in their bank account the very same month they spend it. After working through the different possibilities Grant and his team figured it out! They would resell the leads that the agents were generating to their vendor partners and create a revenue-sharing opportunity for his clients. Real estate agents would earn enough money through revenue share that they would be able to offset all of their advertising expenses. This means that they would get their ad dollars back the very same month that they spent it! And, it worked! Grant is now helping real estate agents predictably generate new clients every single month at no cost to them and it’s completely changing the way that agents are growing their companies. Grant is just an ordinary guy who wanted to build an extraordinary company so he could live an extraordinary life and now that is exactly what he helps real estate agents do every day.   Follow Me:  Facebook  Instagram YouTube Twitter   The post Helping Ordinary Real Estate Agents Build Extraordinary Businesses first appeared on Grant Wise.
