Hey, Goal Digger, Kimberly Olson here back for another episode of #getLIT, where we crush your business in less than 10 minutes. For today's episode, we're going to talk about the million dollar question: how do you recruit more people? I get this question all the time. A lot of the people that I work with, they'll say that they're getting customers. They're enrolling customers, they're getting people interested in taking a look at their products, but they're having a really hard time when it comes to enrolling business builders. Well, if we know anything about making money, you're kind of limited if you're just going to enroll customers on what you make. You can definitely make a thousand dollars a month enrolling just customers. But if you want to make $5,000 a month, 10,000 or more, you're going to have to build a team.
So in order to build a team, you're going to have to learn how to close more people into the business. So let me share with you a sales secret that's worked really well for me. My first two years in network marketing, I was the customer queen. So that was my thing. I could enroll customers all day long, and I was not a strong recruiter. In the last two years I've been able to recruit almost 200 people direct to me, and this is all alongside my coaching practice. So my coaching business generates lots of money. And so I'm sharing that with you to say, you can do this in a very limited amount of time. You can be very effective with this strategy because it absolutely works, no matter how busy you are. So what you want to start shifting from is instead of trying to close people or start looking around for business builders, you want to change how you're actually building relationships with people and connecting.
I don't agree and support just messaging people and saying, "Hey, you want to look at my business?" I just, I don't like the feel of it, and I don't think it's good for our industry. So you have to slow your roll a little bit.

So we're going to talk about personal branding. And this is something that people don't understand. It's just like attraction marketing, right? We've heard it so many times. We're all like, "yeah, well, what does that even mean?" I'm going to give you the most simplistic way to understand this. And we're going to talk about how you can take action today to get the training you need to totally crush it.
So when you think about personal brand personal branding, where does this word even come from? Well, when we think about brands what do we think of? Nike. We think of, you know, here in Texas, Chick-fil-A. Lululemon, Whole Foods, Target. Those are brands, your company. If you're in network marketing, direct sales, or even if you're doing affiliate marketing for a specific company, right? That is a company that is a corporation, that's a brand. Okay? So when we think of branding, that's what, that's, what we've got going on. Personal branding is where you brand yourself. And the reason why this is so important is because when you can learn how to brand yourself, you are going to build an online presence that can stand the test of time. It can stand all the different changes that have happened. You know, we've seen so many changes in the last year and a half, right? It can withstand any changes that happen with the company that you're representing. But this is, what's the most powerful part about personal branding.

So we are going to talk about affiliate marketing. And I need to tell you, this just lights my soul on fire. The reason why is that so many people, including you probably, put so much pressure on yourself to recruit, enroll, new business builders, or maybe you have a team and you're pretty good at recruiting. And you're just putting so much pressure on new people. The bottom line is that people are not great recruiters, you guys. The average person recruits two people in their career. Two! So if you're sitting here and spending so much time on training them on recruiting or encouraging them to find people. I'll never forget the first company I was with, my upline at the time, she's still a good friend, but I'd never done it before.
So she's like, "they're out there. You just need to keep sharing and keep getting out there. And they're out there, you know, you're going to find them, they're coming!" And it was always like this focus on it. And I wish that it would, I wouldn't have had that focus on it because if I would have just learned the basics I would have, which I have obviously, become a great recruiter.

Hello, y'all, Kimberly Olson here. We have to have a candid conversation today. It is one of the things, the weights on my shoulders sometimes as being somebody who has, you know, built a platform and I'm in front of a lot of people. And I believe that there's a duty to talk about certain things that are not easy to talk about and we are going to get into it. So if you have kiddos around or if maybe I drop an F bomb and you don't like that, you might want to just move on. So we're going to talk about something called the cancel culture. I'm sure you've heard it before. We were just traveling. We were gone for about a week and a half in Northern Wisconsin, and I had some extra time on my hands. So I was just looking up someone who I follow and, I'll probably mention her name. And again, this is my opinion. If you're not like open-minded at all, or you don't like to have discussions or look at different perspective, you just want to keep scrolling. Okay. So I was looking at Rachel Hollis. Now, Rachel Hollis is someone who I've looked up to for years. And the reason why I've looked up to her is because the girl just blazes a trail.
You know, she's like, "I'm just gonna, you know, write books and I'm gonna create content. I'm going to do in-person conferences". I went to hers two summers ago. There were 8,000 women in that room, locking arms, crying, releasing things, being excited about the next 10 years of their lives. I mean, people's lives were changed. Like, you know how you go to an event, you can feel it? Now, I don't agree with everything that she's done. I don't agree with, you know, her political views. Like there's things that are different, but I looked her up because I don't really go on social. I don't really know what's going on. And so since we were traveling, I was like, "I'm going to look her up". She's also my neighbor. I'm pretty sure I saw her in Whole Foods. Rachel, if you're out there, I'm pretty sure. I actually went up and down the aisles a few times.

And what to do if it happens, right? Cause it's, life, things are going to happen. And I have lots of experience in this area. I've been working with people since I was a kid. All right. So first we have a listener review. It says "Kimberly rocks! She has a true passion for empowering others, and you can really feel it through the way she shows up. You can count on honesty efficiency and a let's-do-this attitude anytime you connect with her. Definitely check out her podcast, if you haven't already. Thank you so much. That's so sweet. I so appreciate it. Oh my word.
So when you think about drama, what comes to mind for you? Is it something that you've dealt with in the past with your family, maybe a college roommate or maybe on your team right now? We know for a fact that that drama is very toxic and you have to be able to shut it down because if you don't, I learned this in my Cutco Cutlery sales days, when, as a manager they would say any kind of negativity, drama, any of that was like a bowl of fruit, when you had a bad apple in the bowl of fruit. If you left it there, if you left it, what happens? It will actually ruin the whole bowl of fruit.
So if you're a nice person, yellow personality, or maybe even blue, where you're just kind of going, going, going, and, and not pausing, you know, it can be hard to make that decision to stop the drama or address it. That's typically what the biggest hang-up is for people pleasers or nice people, or you want to be everybody's friend. But what you want to remember at the end of the day is that your job is to guide and mentor. And if you aren't redirecting people to help them be better humans, then you're missing the mark. That you have a responsibility to call people out and redirect as needed. So I'm really fortunate that I don't have drama on my team, but I have had drama in the past.

Hey Goal Digger, Kimberly Olson back for another episode of #getLIT, where we crush your business in less than 10 minutes. And today I'm going to give you 10 ideas for getting tons of leads into your inbox. And I think you're going to be surprised at a couple of them, but the most important thing is if you have heard of these before, are you doing them? That's the key with this kind of content is you want to take action. That's where the LIT model came up with, I came up with it, Learn, Implement, Take action. I don't want you to just take it in the trainings, I want you getting results. Okay. So as we go through these, even if you've heard of them before, are you using them is the key. Okay. All right. So this one is kind of interchangeable from Facebook and Instagram, but Facebook and Instagram posts are a great way to generate leads. You know, if you look at my other IGTV videos, you'll see, I've talked about creating content or creating curiosity with your content, creating content, that converts. Those are all good trainings to go back to, but this is what I wanted to share with you for this hack. Okay. You can actually share the same post from Instagram to Facebook. So I personally share my Instagram to my Facebook business page and also Pinterest, and some other things that we'll talk about. But when I do that, it doesn't hurt my algorithm because Facebook owns Instagram. It loves when you cross share. I've not seen any negative side effects to that.
Okay. Now Facebook does not like any other external links. So don't be sharing like a YouTube video or something. You'll have to be a little more covert, such as putting that into your stories. Okay. Now, how do you create more leads from a post? You want to ask yourself, am I creating a way for conversation to happen? Am I giving them a call to action? And am I telling them what to do with the posts? Am I getting people commenting? That's a clue. Okay. If you're not, you need to tweak it, you need to get some trainings under your belt so that we can start to learn how to do that. Okay? So those Facebook posts and Instagram posts go together. Number two are stories, Facebook and Instagram, same thing. I repurpose my, I create on Instagram stories. I have it automatically. So there's a setting. You guys can do this too, that you can automatically save your Instagram stories to your phone.

And I love this topic we're going to get into, because once I mastered this, it became so easy to share my product, share my business, even some of the stuff I do in the coaching space. So this can apply to anything that you're doing. Okay. So I'm going to teach you why mumble marketing is the new attraction marketing. I was just thinking about this the other night, when I first heard about a charge in marketing, I thought about yachts, and boats, and vacations and Rolexes. My friend just asked me, she's like, "are you into designer handbags?" And I'm like, "no, I'm just not, I never have been". And I thought about some of the stuff that's on social, where people are still doing that.
Right. There's a lot of like YouTube ads and stuff where, you know, the guy's in his like awesome car. And he's like, "Hey, you guys". So making fun of that a little bit, but I want to hit that home, but that's not what people want. Especially moms, especially females. Like, that's not what we're looking for. Okay. Some of us, we want, you know, a nice life, right? Like I love being able to go into the store and buy whatever I want. Let's be serious. I'm usually at Marshall's. But I love that. Okay. When my family says, Hey, we want to, Scott are discussing, like, let's go on a vacation. I love being able to say, let's do it! And not worry about how much the hotel is and the tickets and all the things. Right? So that's awesome. That's great, if that's your thing. But this is what you want to understand.
Attraction marketing is not the yachts, and the boats, and the big houses. Attraction marketing is attracting your qualified prospects, your ideal avatar to you. Attracting them to you. It's not about being attractive. It's not the six pack abs on Instagram. It's not the airbrushed photo. It's not that. It's for you to be real. It's for you to be yourself. It's for you to take your ordinary day and make it extraordinary to others. And it's about taking your content and pulling them to you. . Yeah. Isn't that amazing? It's about taking your content, pulling people to you, attracting them to you where they go, "I like her. I want to know more about her".

Hey, Hey, Goal Diggers Kimberly Olson here for a training on three big mistakes when it comes to personal branding. I am seeing so many questions on this. I'm seeing so much confusion when it comes to personal branding. And honestly, you really can't get the traction you need on social media until you get this piece down. Okay? When I figured this out, you guys, if you watch my path to growth, I blew up when I got my personal branding down on social media. I completely blew up my business, and my brand, and my following, and all the things. I mean, I can't even tell you how I went from cold messaging people, spamming people, doing all that icky stuff, to literally waking up every day with new leads in my inbox, right? New leads, new people to connect with, new people in messenger.
People reaching out to me for the first time ever. How many of you would like to have your business be that way? Where you have leads coming to you, right? Where you have people saying, "Hey, what is that?" Okay. That's what, this is all about. I'm super, super pumped about this. So this is what we're going to talk about personal branding.
