Kevin Cornell & Glenn Pendlay Reunion (Part 1)
During Kevin and Glenn's first reunion since Kevin left MDUSA several years ago we spoke about Kevin's comeback to the sport of weightlifting. Glenn ended up going straight SAVAGE about Kevin's diet as an athlete, but also spoke about his great characteristics. Most interestingly to me they spoke about the differences in training between Cal Strength and MDUSA as well as the decline of MDUSA and what happened when Glenn left Cal Strength. All in all this first half of the interview was extremely interesting, and I did my best to just let Glenn and Kevin catch up organically without too many of my fan questions! The second part will be up on Friday.

The Drug Episode - PEDs in Weightlifting, and the Food Industry
In this week's episode of the Weightlifting House podcast I finally get Glenn to discuss the difficult topic of drugs in weightlifting and his thoughts on whether this is an issue that can be resolved. He releases some stories from foreign training halls as well as his general knowledge of the IWF/IOC and the likelihood of any change. This episode is incredibly interesting and happened off the cuff. We did not plan this topic and so everything that was said was very organic. Gaining insight into the taboo world of performance enhancing drugs from a man with such experience in one of the most corrupt sports is extremely engaging. We also discuss the food industry in America and to my delight manage to get Glenn on a rant about the American public and the damage that their diets are doing to themselves and their children. Please like and share as we are still trying to work our way up as THE weightlifting podcast.

The Best Way to Power, and Why We Use 5 Reps
Glenn and I discuss how to make the biggest improvements from using power snatches and power cleans. We talk about not only what sort of weight to use, but why powering everything can sometimes be a good way to train. We also talk about squatting in 5s. Why do we use sets of 5 so much in strength training? Why are they considered the best of both worlds? Why has Glenn has used them for every athlete? This episode was cut off half way through because we ended up speaking for another hour and so decided it would be best to save the second half for another day.

Best Episode Ever - Best lifters of all time, coaching youth lifters, and eggs
This is my favourite episode to date. Glenn and I talk about his favourite lifters off all time, past and present, as well as why some of the best lifters ever are overrated. Some of the lifters we talk about are Zakharevich, Kakhi, Vardanyan, Dimas, and more.We also talk about coaching youth lifters, and more importantly, which of the physical attributes are most important in a younger lifter, and which can be developed the easiest. But to kick us off, Glenn and I have a surreal discussion about eggs, and Glenn's new chicks...
