Episode 3 - Mae Yip - Breaking Convention & Empowering The Next Generation
Send us a textAnother awesome and inspiring conversation, this time with ERIC Co-Founder, Mae Yip.Mae, believe it or not, used to be a chartered accountant. Prior to starting ERIC, Mae worked at PwC (one of the largest accountancy firms in the world) but quickly knew she was on the wrong career path.Growing up with Asian parents, she battled against following a career that would please her family as opposed to exploring her real passions and interests.Mae wants to empower the next generation by giving them the tools and agency to make their own career decisions. We had a really connected conversation and I thank Mae immensely for her honesty and vulnerability as we explored her childhood and early formative experiences that shaped the person Mae has gone on to become. What a pleasure and a privilege to have this conversation. I am delighted to share it with you!Enjoy!✌🏻&❤️Contact Mae:Email: mae@meet-eric.comMae Yip | LinkedIn🎙️Mae also has her own podcast ‘Phenomenal & Asian’ sharing inspirational stories from those doing phenomenal things. Send us a textToday's podcast is with the AWESOME human being that is, Ruth Penfold-Brown.Ruth has spent the past two decades building and rebuilding teams within organisations including Shazam, Onfido and bp Launchpad. Along the way, Ruth also built and rebuilt herself from the inside out in the process. Ruth believes that the way we do work right now simply isn’t working and that we can build something better. She’s currently advising a number of startups, and is building out her thesis around how we can reimagine the idea of work and create the space for all of us to thrive. The first half of the conversation is a wonderful exploration of personal values and how to move from a toxic relationship with yourself and others into a place where you are honouring your values and making choices which elevate your being and allow you to thrive. The second half looks into how organisations can create cultures and environments where people can thrive.Enjoy! ✌🏻&❤️Contact Ruth:Email: Ruth@ruthpenfold.comLinkedIn: Ruth Penfold-Brown | LinkedInInsta: @ruthpenfoldContact Luke:Email: luke@sapienx.co.ukLinkedIn: Luke O'Mahoney | LinkedIn🎵Music Credit: Anton Vlasov from Pixabay🎵If you like the podcast, you may want to sign up to the PX Espresso Newsletter ☕ the weekly newsletter for People people who think like Product people.Music by Rockot from Pixabay
