Episode 30 - GenZ Series: Nick Wucher - Co-Founder of YIFNO
In this episode we welcome Nick Wucher, the Co-Founder and Creative Director of the clothing brand YIFNO, which stands for “Yo, It’s F*cking Nice Out.” Nick is a GenZ/Zillennial who has spent a good part of his 20s solidifying himself as a high-level entrepreneur. We are offered a look into Nick’s childhood, where his parents seemingly excelled in providing a stable and supportive co-parenting example after they divorced when Nick was 5 years old. Nick shares how his mother’s determination to start her own business combined with his father’s success in the corporate world gave him the perfect foundation to stand on when it came time to chase his own dream. We are regaled with stories about his extended family in Peru as well as his paternal grandfather’s fascinating life in Miami, the Navy and Cuba. Nick shares about his antics in middle school, which included Friday fights and his first “business”, as well as his love for football, which he played from an early age through high school. He reflects about his college years in Tallahassee and the love he has for his Florida State University community of fellow Noles, as they were the first to support his brand, YIFNO. We learn of the birth and growth of YIFNO in Tallahassee and how Nick continued its growth when he returned to South Florida after graduating FSU. After accepting a corporate job, Nick successfully balanced his 9-5 all while continuing to build and grow YIFNO through pop-ups in various locations, including a successful stint in New York City. Nick shares the many ways he has worked to market YIFNO, including incorporating YIFNO into comedy shows and selling his line internationally. We learn about his past and present business partners, which include his younger brother, and his cherished team, who it’s obvious he holds in the highest esteem. Together they are world building, creating and maintaining a community of authenticity, quality and loyalty. Nick shares insight on the balance of not caring what others think while still caring deeply about your work, as well as the importance of not being ashamed of prioritizing your finances through a 9-5 while you work on your “5-9”. We were thrilled to have Nick in the studio to share not only his story but the story of YIFNO as well. Brian and I both believe in this brand, as it comes from a creative place of good and real, which is exemplified in many ways, one being the charitable causes YIFNO supports both domestically and internationally. We look forward to having Nick back in the studio in the future and are excited to participate in the YIFNO community!Check Out Nick & YIFNO: Yifno.comOnline StoreInstagramYoutubeTiktokVisit Us At:https://linktr.ee/genxadultinghttps://www.tiktok.com/@genxadultinghttps://www.instagram.com/genx.adulting/https://www.facebook.com/genxadultinghttps://www.youtube.com/@genxadultinghttps://www.amazon.com/shop/genxadulting#entrepreneur #smallbusiness #genz #fsu #newyorkcity #nyc #london #miami #clothes #clothing #brand #branding #merchandise #merch #podcast #community #world #international #corporate #job #genx #interviewCheck us out at genxadulting.com#generationx #genx #podcast #marriage #relationship #interview #mom #family

Episode 28 - GenX Speaks Series: Mary's Story
In this episode we welcome Mary, a GenX. Mary shares about her upbringing in a small town in south New Jersey, where she was the youngest of 6. A natural athlete, Mary followed in her siblings steps by joining the local swim team at the young age of three. She continued to swim through her formative years and eventually swam at the collegiate level in college. After graduation, she accepted a job as a high school English teacher in Maryland where she worked tirelessly as a new teacher to her 9th and 11th grade students. A couple years later she packed up and embarked on a move to New York City. Mary gives us a glimpse into the ten years she lived in the city, working as an assistant to a fashion stylist, a model, an actress, a server/bartender and eventually a sales executive, all while living the “Sex and the City”. Wanting a change, she left the city and moved down to south Florida, where she married and became a mother in addition to becoming a certified yoga instructor and eventual entrepreneur of her own athletic wear, Manmaker Sports. Recently divorced, Mary shares some wisdom to couples who may be in the process of divorcing, as well as inspiration as she reflects on the exciting events already occurring in her new chapter. We learn about Mary’s exciting career path she has undertaken, which includes EFT Tapping, Matrix Imprinting and getting certified in Homeopathy, all while continuing to teach yoga. Episode 27 - The Millennials - Guller
In this episode we welcome Guller, a Millennial/Zillennial. Guller shares with us his father’s move from Turkey to America, and his parents eventual meeting on a blind date at Chapel Hill. He shares the origin of his name, which is a combination of his Turkish and rural North Carolina roots. We learn how Guitar Hero literally struck a chord in him when he was in elementary school, which sparked a desire to learn how to play music with a focus on guitar. Guller shares how a random moment of dabbling on his Turkish grandmother’s old piano led to the discovery of a natural talent on the keys that his parents fostered with piano lessons. He touches on how lack of preparation for a piano recital when he was in middle school taught him a lifelong lesson that he still uses to this day. We learn of Guller’s musical inspirations which include The Grateful Dead, Billy Joel, The Allman Brothers, Elton John and The Beatles, just to name a few, and how his parents constant support of his love for music facilitated growth and personal success for him. Guller reflects on his years attending Florida State University and how he almost didn’t graduate if it weren’t for the discovery of a woman named Jill who tirelessly aided people by helping them find a strategy to finish their education. We also learn how his strong support system of friends and family helped him embark on a successful wellness journey. After a modified “GAP Year” that was a few months of travel, Guller began his career in tech sales, all while balancing being a member of a few different bands. I think we counted about 10 bands Guller has been a member of from his middle school days to today, and we’re sure that number will continue to climb throughout his life. We especially enjoyed discussing The Grateful Dead’s music and culture, and hearing his perspective while also sharing our own. Guller is currently playing shows with his band 59 Shop while enjoying continued success in tech sales working for Finally, a company that offers a full accounting and finance suite to its customers. We thoroughly enjoyed Guller’s story, and were especially impressed with his passion and drive in balancing his music and business career in addition to continually growing in his personal life. We definitely plan on seeing Guller perform live in the near future, and look forward to hosting him again in the studio!59 Shophttps://www.instagram.com/59shopband/https://open.spotify.com/artist/7uwzPFpOuIV0vymZvjSTnTWrassehttps://www.instagram.com/wrassetheband/https://open.spotify.com/track/3qNt03V9hOBemv3jHUIin5?si=ccc81e00b6c342feThe Pleasureshttps://www.instagram.com/thepleasuresss/Finallywww.finally.com Visit Us At:https://linktr.ee/genxadultinghttps://shop.genxadulting.comhttps://www.tiktok.com/@genxadultinghttps://www.instagram.com/genx.adulting/https://www.facebook.com/genxadultinghttps://www.youtube.com/@genxadulting#music #thegratefuldead #piano #keyboardist #pianist #billystrings #band #fsu #floridastateuniversity #turkey #bluegrass #sales #technology #gapyear Check us out at genxadulting.com#generationx #genx #podcast #marriage #relationship #interview #mom #family

Episode 24 - GenZ Women Series: Kierstin
In this episode we welcome Kierstin to the studio. Kierstin shares with us how she was always the quiet and shy girl through her formative years and typically internalized everything. Her mother’s battle with cancer through Kierstin’s middle school years, and eventual tragic passing when Kierstin was in 8th grade, further amplified those characteristics and as a result, she spent most of her high school years isolating in her own little bubble. She reflects on her decision to force herself out of her comfort zone as she headed into college and used the opportunities she found at Florida State University to continually challenge herself to be social. She found so much success in her endeavor that it left her exhausted and depleted and once again facing her issues. During her sophomore year, she courageously sought help and found therapy on campus which stopped her spiral and gave her space to find true healing. After graduation, we learn how Kierstin continued to challenge herself by choosing jobs related to event planning and hospitality, which led to her current position where she works various prestigious and private events throughout South Florida. We discuss authenticity in today’s current dating culture and the various challenges young women face as a result of dating apps. Kierstin also shares about her experience in a toxic relationship, and how the lessons she learned has helped her completely adjust her standards going forward. Episode 22 - Midlife, Menopause & Reclaiming Your Energy
In this episode, Brian and Nicole delve deeper into the concept of someone reclaiming their energy. Nicole theorizes that although peri/menopause is certainly a factor of women reclaiming their energy midlife, it isn’t the only reason. They discuss the motivations of women reaching the point where they’re “done” in a marriage or relationship, and why many men are triggered by women empowering themselves. Brian reflects on if men go through their own hormonal change and how it may affect their decision making. They discuss the importance of having a real friendship with your partner and how the lack of one can be a contributing factor in the demise of a marriage or relationship, especially as a woman hits peri/menopause. We enjoyed having the opportunity to further dissect the concept of reclaiming your energy and how peri/menopause can play a role.Visit Us At:https://linktr.ee/genxadultinghttps://shop.genxadulting.comhttps://www.tiktok.com/@genxadultinghttps://www.instagram.com/genx.adulting/https://www.facebook.com/genxadultinghttps://www.youtube.com/@genxadultinghttps://x.com/genxadulting#podcast #interview #genx #generationx #family #fyp #fypシ゚ #fyptiktok #health #fypyoutube #podcastclips #over50 #over40 #midlife #goals #change #growth #marriage #menopause #perimenopause #relationship #divorce #friendship #love #womenempowerment #women #men #selfcare #mentalhealth Check us out at genxadulting.com#generationx #genx #podcast #marriage #relationship #interview #mom #family

Episode 21 - The Millennials - Andrew
In our first episode of The Millennials series, we welcome Andrew to the studio. Andrew reflects upon his upbringing in Maine, which included playing ice hockey in a cemetery using shoes for goals, lots of baseball and a very “GenX” childhood. Andrew was part of the first generation to experience the repercussions that can result from pictures posted online to social media, and shares with us the MySpace experience. Baseball led him to playing college ball, and he offers insight into the mindset and what is truly required to be a student-athlete in college. We learn about his experience working with nonverbal autistic students as he pursued a career in teaching, and how he still carries those moments with him to this day. Seeing what life holds beyond Maine led him to a move to south Florida, where he began and succeeded in a sales career. The birth of his daughter is without a doubt the highlight of his life, and we enjoyed his perspective of truly appreciating the things that matter most while raising his daughter. We reflect on the benefits of multigenerational living that have resulted from Andrew’s father’s declining health, and what a blessing it has been to have his mother living with him and his daughter. It was a pleasure to get to know Andrew through his story, and appreciate his general vibe of “This too shall pass”.
