Deep dives
Taking control of your thoughts and beliefs
It is important to recognize that not every thought you have is true or helpful. Thoughts can come from various sources, even past generations. By questioning your thoughts and beliefs, you can actively challenge negative or automatic negative thoughts (ANTs) and replace them with more accurate and positive ones. Practice accurate thinking with a positivity bias, focusing on what is true, good, and worthy of praise.
Building a healthy brain for success
Taking care of your brain is crucial for success and overall well-being. By paying attention to your biological, psychological, social, and spiritual circles, you can optimize your brain health. This includes making healthy choices in terms of nutrition, sleep, exercise, and learning. Avoid harmful habits such as excessive alcohol consumption or relying on substances to cope with stress. Focus on activities and practices that support brain health, gratitude, and positive self-talk.
Effects of generational trauma and family history
Traumatic experiences from the past can impact future generations, as generational trauma can be transmitted through genes. It is important to understand your family history and recognize potential patterns or traumas. By acknowledging these influences, individuals can gain insight into their own anxieties, fears, or negative thought patterns. Healing and addressing these issues can help break the cycle and create positive change for future generations.
Strategies for athletes and overcoming negative thoughts
Athletes can overcome negative thoughts and anxieties by focusing on the process rather than the outcome. Visualization and mental training can be beneficial, along with recognizing the importance of learning and growth mindset. By visualizing successful performances and having a learning mindset, athletes can enhance their performance and mental resilience. Addressing other factors like sleep, nutrition, and pre-race routines are also crucial for optimal performance.
Spirituality and finding meaning
Spirituality can play a significant role in well-being and mental health. Believing in a higher power or finding meaning beyond oneself can offer comfort, guidance, and a sense of purpose. Developing a practice of gratitude, finding time for self-reflection, and exploring one's personal beliefs are ways to nurture spiritual well-being. Recognize that spirituality can coexist with scientific understanding and can be deeply meaningful for individuals seeking purpose and connection.

I’ve been a Pro User of Vimeo basically since I started my production company in 2010. Vimeo is for creative professions like me and I use it several different ways:
It’s a place for me to upload videos with a password for my clients to be able to review and download the work I’m doing for them. There’s no compression or crushing of black colors or over- saturation like when I upload to Youtube. My clients get the full 4K resolution HD as it was intended.
I use it to host / broadcast live events…
I also use Vimeo for my portfolio, case studies —and it never has annoying pre roll ads. I can create a customized player and keep people on my landing page so they don’t get distracted and go down the rabbit hole watching someone else’s stuff.
What you may not know is that Vimeo can be used if you’re in HR to put all your on-boarding videos in one place.. you could do the same if you teach a course…put your vids behind a paywall and charge for it.
Need a videographer, Creative director or editor? Vimeo let’s you post jobs or find creative professionals.
There are a ton more options so I would suggest checking them out. Just go to Vimeo.com and see what’s possible!
