Vulnerability can lead to a sense of incapability and injury, primarily affecting our ego and how we perceive ourselves. Our ego often presents an inflated image of our abilities, leading us to believe we can do things without trying. This mindset is a protective mechanism of our animal brain to keep us in a familiar and safe space, avoiding the unknown where vulnerability resides. By understanding this process, we can identify the negative behavior and thought patterns that arise, separate them from reality, and take action in the moment. It involves recognizing the stories our mind creates to prevent vulnerability and challenging them with the truth to break the cycle of resistance.
