True masters of their craft, the 'practitioners,' dedicate years to obsessive practice, driven by passion and curiosity.
In contrast, 'parrots' mimic the learnings of others without deep understanding, lacking the foundation for true creativity.
Practitioners' deep, iterative engagement with their craft enables them to combine elements in novel ways, much like Fred again, Elon Musk, or Yuval Noah Harari.
This depth of understanding allows practitioners to break free from convention and pioneer new approaches, unlike 'parrots' who merely scratch the surface.

Episode notes
Steven Bartlett is the Founder of Social Chain, an entrepreneur, a podcaster and an author.

Expect to learn Steven’s equation for unbreakable discipline, the biggest lesson from dealing with mainstream media pile-ons, why there are so few actual practitioners in the world, how to stop being your biggest critic, why your weirdness is the ultimate competitive advantage, how Steven discovered he was riddled with fake ambition and much more…
