Motivating a team can be achieved by either inspiring them or challenging them. Inspiring them involves conveying confidence, showing enthusiasm, and making sure they do not get discouraged. On the other hand, challenging them involves giving them a battle to fight, finding a common enemy (such as a mindset, presumption, or outdated system), and presenting a unique approach that goes against the norm. This approach can ignite passion, as it puts the team on a pirate ship, taking risks and sailing through storms. Both methods, inspiring and challenging, have been proven effective in motivating a team.
