Implementing a five-minute down regulation breathing exercise after workouts significantly improved the rate of recovery. Recovery between workouts was faster, and there was no longer a dip in energy hours after intense exercise. The down regulation breathing helped regulate adrenaline levels and prevented crashing later on. This practice is underutilized, with only 2% of people doing it. Even three minutes of this exercise can provide significant benefits. It can be done in the shower if necessary. This practice is not limited to athletes and can be applied to any interval-type activity or social engagement. Just one minute of down regulation breathing after important interactions or activities can also yield benefits. Overall, this practice has positively impacted training and other activities outside of training, allowing for a better balance in life.
