Episode 169: Using Email Marketing To Grow Your Practice

Email is extremely useful for any business but especially still in 2019. Email is a medium you own! Unlike Facebook and other social channels where you are essentially renting your space for your ads and promotions.  In today's episode, I cover using email marketing to grow your veterinary practice. I also share how to attract more people into your email marketing lists, how to get the most out of your email marketing, types of emails you should be sending, how often you should be sending them, and most importantly how to use your email marketing list to grow your veterinary practice. There are 4 types of emails you should be sending out to your email marketing list  Transactional- Selling something to your clients or reminding them of upcoming or past due services, procedures, medications refills due, and special services awareness months. Relational- Furthers your relationship with clients or helps them take the next step to commitment. Asking them to subscribe to your podcast, following you on your social channels, or subscribing to your youtube channel. Promotional-Sends and lets clients become aware of specific pieces of content that will be valuable to them. and Informational-Lets you educate your clients on specific topics, Awareness months, tips of how to care for animals during holidays and upcoming events.  Each of these types of emails should minimally be sent out at least once a month and having one email going out at least once a week to really maximize your email marketing. Another way to maximize your email list is to segment your audience and send them relevant offers and content to them. For example, dog offers to dog owners and cat offers to cat owners. Additionally, each email should have one clear purpose and one clear call to action. Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 168: 5 Tips To Dramatically Improve Your Marketing

It's crazy to think that the Veterinary Marketing Podcast is now 5 years old! I want to say thank you to every single listener out there, honestly, thank you so much. So to celebrate on today's episode I am sharing 5 things you need to do to dramatically improve your marketing. 1) Set up Your Systems: Marketing automation, Content creation, and communication systems. which includes Email marketing where you should have at least 1 email per month going out to your email list, Text message marketing is another need for your practice and content automation 2)Create and Repurposing more content: You need to be creating more content to continuously be able to post content across all the platforms. I believe video is the best piece of content to create because it can be repurposed so many ways. 3) Being extremely clear on your client avatar: being clear and knowing exactly who your ideal clients are will in turn make your marketing easier. By knowing who your clients are you can create specific content and ads that speak directly to your audience  All of your marketing is based on drawing attention to your products and services to a specific type or group of clients that are perfect your business or practice. 4) You have to have a before and after grid: You need a before and after grid to know exactly what your benefits are that you offer to your clients and customers. How can your business or practice help potential clients? what are the benefits of coming to your practice? 5) Setting up your reportings and metrics: You need to have your tracking and analytics set up an know what you will be measuring and how they will be measured. And as a bonus 6) Make sure you have multichannel marketing  Have your marketing in more than just one place or platform.   Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Today on the podcast we have another very special guest that is going to share with us some wonderful tips, tricks and ways to help veterinary digital marketers really get the most out of their marketing. As well as some of the current trends that are happing in digital marketing, what she thinks is important for marketing, and how to approach digital marketing effectively  In today's episode, I talk with Digital Vet Marketing's Sandra Byron about some of the biggest mistakes she sees practices making (and how you can avoid them), where marketing is going in the future, and how and where to start with your practice's digital marketing.  Sandra Byron shares her thoughts on What she thinks should marketers focus on first? After a strategy has been developed you should make sure that you have a working website that not only works but is also mobile responsive and also is easy to use. Using search ads is where people who need a vet will be most likely to find you as they are in need of your services. How much should a practice manager know about digital marketing? Practice managers are already so busy with running their veterinary practice they shouldn't get wrapped up in becoming an expert and knowing all the ins and outs of marketing but they should have a general understanding of what their practice needs in terms of digital marketing and have a basis of understanding of just how important digital marketing is for their business. and What should practice managers be doing it there practice that they arent? Understanding really what your practice needs from the business side and what your practice is looking to gain. Episode 166: Loyalty In Your Veterinary Practice With Brian MaCrae

Would you love to be able to turn first-time clients into lifetime clients? Loyalty in your veterinary practice is one of the most important things you should focus on in your practice. In today's episode, I am talking with Brian MaCrae from Rethink Veterinary Solutions about the importance of loyalty in our veterinary practice and how you can use a membership program to protect and stop your veterinary practice from losing money from discounting. Memberships show there is an increased level of mental and emotional commitment to a business from customers. When implementing a loyalty program into your veterinary practice there are a few key components that will make your loyalty program work. - Your program model needs to be simple to understand. Clients should be able to make a buying decision within 30-60 seconds of information. Highlight benefits to your customer of how this will make their visits more enjoyable and valuable. -Implement Virtual Currency System. Instead of discounting offer clients rewards that are redeemable only at your practice. People want and like when they feel as though they are getting a great deal of value on something. Rewarding clients will entice them to keep coming back.  -Easy low price point.  Adding a loyalty or membership program helps add value to your practice by helping with your profitability. Memberships are monthly revenue and recession prevention tools. They also help tremendously with client retention, members of clubs and stores are more likely to visit their membership locations as they are rewarded for coming into their businesses. Rewards help to set your veterinary practice up to win  If you would like to check out Rethink Veterinary Solutions you can visit their website here and book a live demo and also check out their webinar that explains exactly how their program works Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!

Episode 165: How To Maximize Your Content Creation

Do you struggle with content creation or your content marketing? Figuring out when and what to post can be difficult and time consuming but it doesn't have to be. In Todays Episode I talk about how you can maximize your content creation, create effective content, and how to repost your content for your digital marketing using a few tips and tricks. Content is very important to your marketing as it is the oxygen to your marketing as it can keep your marketing running for you. Content is also your communication line to your audience. Content also helps potential clients get to know your practice beforehand helping them trust you. Build your audience list with the people who engage with your content, invest in your content and it will give you an audience back. When creating effective content you want to first find what is your favorite method of content and produce that whether its writing blog post, posting pictures of your Instagram, posting on your stories, or creating youtube videos. Another way to be effective with your content is to post consistently. You need to post consistently and with a schedule so your audience can know when and what to expect from you. Consistency is key, create content in quick forms (Instagram Post, Stories, Facebook and Instagram lives) to consistently have something going out. Another way to have your content going out constantly is to repost and repurpose your content from one social channel to the others. You can repost content from any of your channels you are using to the rest of them you don't always have to create exclusive content for each social platform. The social platforms I suggest using are youtube, Linkedin, Facebook, and Instagram as the minimum.    Be sure to listen and let me know if you have any questions, comments or need help with anything!
