Frere du Nord - The massive benefits of manufacturing close to home

Milena and I had a special bond when I found out her shop was based in the city I grew up in. While our memories of Oshawa are different, it was so interesting to hear more about her journey to opening their shop there and how they’ve stayed true to local manufacturing. Milena is one half of the brother sister duo. Milena and her brother started Frere du Nord, combining their fine arts and engineering backgrounds. Frere du Nord is a fashion brand focused on creating sustainable luxury leisurewear that is ethically made and sourced. In 2019, FRÈRE DU NORD opened there new retail and manufacturing space  in Oshawa, that allows customers to view how their clothes are made and allows them to be part of the process. I’m yet to see it in person but the pictures look amazing so I encourage you all to take a look!Website - https://freredunord.com/ Learn more about starting and scaling a for-purpose business at www.talkingpurpose.ca Start your business today on the best e-commerce platform in the world on Shopify
