Running Wisdom From Above the Clouds in Ethiopia with Michael Crawley

This week on The MiFit Podcast I interview Michael Crawley. Michael is an anthropologist, author, and elite runner clocking in at a 2:20 marathon. In 2019, Michael was awarded a PhD in anthropology by the University of Edinburgh, following ESRC funded research, living and training alongside runners in Ethiopia. For 15 months, Michael immersed himself within the Ethiopian culture in hopes to find out why some of the best runners in our world’s history come from a specific location. After learning dozens of running (and life) lessons, Michael set out to write a book titled Out of Thin Air: Running Wisdom and Magic From Above the Clouds in Ethiopia.
