The Names Anti-Paedobaptist and Baptist | Particular Pilgrims
Today I’d like to talk about two terms that arose out of the historical context of 17th-century Particular Baptist life. The first word is “antipaedobaptist” and the second is “baptist”. These words and related ones such as paedobaptist and paedobaptism seem to have first appeared in the English language around the 1640s as part of the debate over the question of the subjects of baptism.

Choice Experiences of Jane Turner (Pt.3) | Particular Pilgrims
This is our final look at the spiritual autobiography of Jane Turner as related in her book “Choice Experiences” from 1653. We have heard Jane describe the first three stages of her religious experience which she entitled “ignorance”, “duty”, and “free grace”. It was in the third set of God-directed experiences that she became “well satisfied in point of justification”. And being firmly settled in the worthiness of X and the freeness of God’s grace in him, she was now ready to be further taught by the Holy Spirit from the word of God.
