Episode 497: Sally McRae – Grand Slam of 200s Champion

Sally McRae is back on the podcast today! She was on episodes 145, 242, 328 and I had a live show with Sally in 2019 in Indianapolis. Sally recently became the Grand Slam Champion which is a title of all of these 200+ mile races: Big Foot, Moab, Cocadona, Tahoe. She recently won the Moab 240. I loved hearing about this, a year of racing 200+ mile races. Sally is also the 2021 Badwater 135 Champion. She is an author, she wrote the book Choose Strong and also has a podcast called Choose Strong. Sally also has a fitness app. She really does all of the things! Every time that I talk to Sally, she comes with so much great encouragement and advice. I hope you love this episode as much as I did! Dr. RuthAnn Lobos is a veterinarian who works for Purina and is a runner! She serves as the Senior veterinarian for Purina Pet Care. She lives in Boulder and spends her free time running marathons! She is also an avid triathlete. She has run Boston three times, completed more than 25 marathons, and has served as an official pace group leader for the Austin Marathon four times. She has completed three Half Ironmans. She has a love for running and animals and it was so much fun to hear all about that in this episode! Episode 495: Rose Harvey and Ben Bruce

Ben Bruce and Rose Harvey are on the podcast today for another post Chicago recap! Rose Harvey burst onto the professional running scene after starting to run during the pandemic in 2020 and discovered a hidden talent! She did not grow up a runner or compete in high school or college. She just ran a 2:23:21 and placed 9th at the Chicago Marathon. Previously she was working as a finance lawyer and now runs professionally for Puma. Rose is from the UK and also hosts half of the podcast 5 Miles Easy. Ben has been on the show before! He was a phenomenal pacer once again for the Chicago Marathon and paced a large group of women and men and Rose was one of those in the group! Episode 494: Sara Vaughn and Dakotah Lindwurm Recap their Chicago Marathon Experience

Dakotah Lindwurm and Sara Vaughn are on the podcast today! They both ran PRs at the Chicago Marathon and I loved hearing their recaps on this episode! Sara ran a 2:23:24 which was a 3 minute PR and placed 10th. Sara debuted the marathon in 2021, running a 2:26:53. Last year at Chicago she was 7th place and ran a 2:26:23. She is the mom of four and is a realtor. In this episode, she talks about taking risks this year in her training ahead of Chicago! Sara comes from a 1500m background. Sara has been on the podcast so many times – episodes 283, 302, 341, 416, 443. Dakotah smiles the entire marathon and it is so much fun to watch! She truly loves what she gets to do while performing. Erin Cooper – Salomon takes the Bridge in Chicago

Erin Cooper is the Senior Brand Manager for Salomon North America. She’s the mother of two and training for her second marathon. She will be racing the Chicago Marathon next weekend- hoping for a PR which would be a time under 3:24! I’m super excited to be partnering with Salomon for Take the Bridge which is a unique urban race directed by Darcy Budworth that is taking place on Friday, October 6th in the West Loop, Downtown Chicago!
