James Schramko & Stephen Esketzis - Affiliate Marketing Double Header

On today’s special Australian double header show, we’ve actually got two interviews from live streams we held earlier this year.  First up is James Schramko, who is a great friend and has been on the show quite a few times already. He talks about the basic foundational strategies that he uses in his business (which is also similar to our own business because we’ve modeled what he does), how he has been able to maintain great customer relationships over the years with the same membership site, and his thoughts and ideas on keys to building trust and what to do if you are just starting out. Our second guest is Stephen Esketzis who we have modeled as well, with our affiliate blog posts. He was ClickFunnels #1 affiliate for a long time and he’s another one who we had on the show previously. Stephen has some newer updates, tools, and lots of good content marketing affiliate strategies and we also talk about developing some tools for affiliate marketing as well. We also dive into his cool method of using a quiz to create the perfect funnel for your business, and by taking a few extra steps that most marketers do not, has propelled his business by far. Affiliate marketing is a topic that is one of the three foundational things we like to chat about, and it’s also a topic that people are looking for with examples on how to do it in their own business. James is building a platform, with a podcast, email lists, and a community, while Steven takes more of the blogging, customer journey, and SEO route. You can combine them and take pieces of each model as we did, which is what our business is about now. After you have listened, be sure to check out our shows with Larry Ludwig and Matt McWilliams for more tips on how to set your affiliate marketing goals right.  “When someone already has a database and they already know what products sell, just sticking them in front of their customers on the most highly visited page on their website is a really good idea.” - James Schramko “Now more and more people are switching to writing better quality reviews and content because it’s getting more competitive and you need to improve your content game if you want to become a better affiliate. The more value you provide, you get repaid for it in the long run.” - Stephen Esketzis Some Topics We Discussed Include: Tips if you are just starting out James’ least favorite business and why he’s working his way through it currently How to go above and beyond to stand out beyond the rest of affiliates Why James had a Skype button on his site in the early days How Stephen set up his super cool quiz funnel to get dialed in leads  An idea for an affiliate site that is a lot of work but will lead to great rewards How Stephen basically gets tons of software for free Stephen’s early days of working with ClickFunnels and earning the title of top affiliate And much, much more! From being homeless to becoming a formidable strongman to switching gears to a successful business entrepreneur, you’ll really enjoy today’s show with Nic Peterson. We dive into his interesting past, how he’s been able to use his method of zero loss aversion to starting a host of various businesses, and how he’s partnered with some brilliant minds to not only better himself, but showcase his improvement to others and turning it into a well-known fitness and nutrition business.  He also talks about the gym he started where he went from actually living in the warehouse-like building to transforming it into one of the biggest, highest priced gyms in the area, catering to high-end clients. In addition to all the companies he runs which include a specific type of mastermind, he chats about how he’s able to do it all, setting priorities correctly, and how you too can zone in to reach your goals as quickly as possible. If you like some of what Nic has to say, be sure to check out these past episodes with Dan Kuschell and Marx Acosta-Rubio that really hit home about taking aligned action to become the protagonist in your own life story.  “You may have priorities that are diametrically opposed. You have to pick one, then attack the other one. A lot of people want to have as much money right now as possible but they also want to have as many followers as possible, so you have to pick one. Steven Kotler - How To Create And Leverage Flow States

We are stoked to have Steven Kotler on today’s show as this is one of those episodes we are super curious as to what he’s doing and wanted to dive into the massive body of work he’s done. Most of Steven’s work deals with flow and peak performance as well as converging technologies and futurism. He also does a lot of work with Peter Diamandis and has a new book co-authored with Peter, called The Future Is Faster Than You Think. This book is part of their trilogy of books and will show how you can combine these exponential technologies and systems and stack them. He also dives into why flying cars, blockchain, and other cool things like that are changing at a super rapid pace. We even talk about how this all relates to COVID as well as some actual benefits of the current situation we find ourselves in.   This is a fly on the wall conversation talking about futurism, how to get into flow, whether you can get into flow synthetically, and how to change our brain’s default from thinking negatively.  We also discuss your primary and secondary activities, which one you should focus on for fun and for work, plus Steven even told us which country is leading the charge in drone technology (and it’s not from where you think). We know you are going to love this show as much as we did, and when you are done be sure to check out our episodes with Craig Ballantyne and Dave Asprey for more discussion on living a high performing life. “When you are talking about peak performance, there’s no such thing as a hack. There’s only one thing - there’s getting your biology to work for you rather than against you.” - Steven Kotler  Some Topics We Discussed Include: Which country now leads the world in drone technology? What’s cool with COVID The hippie speedball recipe for a quick boost Your primary and secondary activities and which you should use for work Ways to tell if you are in flow What the future holds for the middle class The faster way that we know of, to calm yourself down Everything you ever wanted to learn about rocket science in just one sentence And much, much more!
