094 Create a Healthy and Fulfilling Relationship: Interview with Alina Frank

For most of us, the relationships we have with our spouses or significant others are key parts of our lives. However, facing challenges in romantic relationships is a nearly universal experience, from trying to find the right partner to having arguments with one another to dealing with issues related to sex and intimacy. Often, these challenges are rooted in past experiences and traumas that may cause us to develop patterns that prevent us from attaining healthy, fulfilling relationships. After leaving her own unfulfilling marriage, Alina Frank devoted her professional journey to helping people build the relationships they deserve. Since 2019, she has specialized in certifying relationship coaches using Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), and has trained, mentored, and certified hundreds of EFT practitioners through the EFT Tapping Training Institute™, which she founded with her husband, Dr. Craig Weiner. 093 Overcome Barriers with EMDR Therapy: Interview with Megan McQuary

Have you ever felt like there were invisible barriers preventing you from achieving your goals or getting to where you wanted to be in life? For many of us, these barriers are the result of traumatic experiences that have negatively impacted the way we view ourselves, others, and the world around us. While various therapeutic modalities seek to help individuals overcome trauma, a technique called Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) may deliver powerful and efficient results. In Episode 93 of The MINDSet Game® podcast, Megan McQuary – a Certified EMDR Clinician and Trainer, as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and an Advanced Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor – shares the following: The goals of EMDR and an overview of how it works, including the key things that Megan focuses on when conducting an EMDR session A metaphor to help understand how your brain operates, and why it can be difficult to think logically or make decisions effectively when you are overwhelmed by stress or other negative emotions The power of bilateral stimulation and how it is used in EMDR At the end of the episode, Megan guides us through a guided visualization using bilateral stimulation. This empowering session is designed to help you reflect on how far you've come in life and discover where you are in relation to the achievement of your goals. Megan McQuary formerly owned and operated one of the largest treatment centers for substance abuse and trauma in Southeast Idaho, which was voted best in practice for 2019. 092 Heal Your Past: Interview with Bryan Hubbard

From the time we are young children, most of us begin incurring some forms of trauma. As we move into adulthood, it may seem that these traumatic experiences remain in the past – but in reality, they are often still a part of us, impacting our worldviews and our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. While many different therapeutic modalities aim to help overcome trauma, the 'Time-Light' method offers a unique approach by re-examining conventional understandings of time. Bryan Hubbard, the creator of the 'Time-Light' method and our guest in Episode 92 of The MINDSet Game® podcast, struggled with chronic depression for years due to the emotional abuse that he suffered for much of his childhood. His path to healing began with a revelation: time is an energy rather than a dimension, and addressing the past traumatic experiences that we still carry is the key to returning to our natural, "time-light" state. In this episode, Bryan discusses the following: The goal of the 'Time-Light' method and how it differs from conventional therapy The difference between being time-light and time-heavy – and the benefits of attaining a time-light state The power of thought and why it's important to question all the assumptions you have about yourself and your life With an extensive background as a journalist, editor, and publisher, Bryan is also the author of Time-Light and The Untrue Story of You. 090 The Benefits of Earthing: Interview with Clint Ober

For most of human history, we were closely connected to the earth, spending a great deal of time barefoot and in physical contact with nature. However, around 1960, the use of plastics in shoes, carpets, and other products started to become widespread, thereby creating a barrier between our bodies and the earth. Over the past six decades, another trend has emerged: a significant increase in autoimmune disorders and other inflammation-related health conditions. While the two trends may not initially seem to be related, several studies have indicated that by re-establishing our physical connection with the earth through a practice called "grounding" (or earthing), we may be able to reduce inflammation and access a wide variety of benefits. After health challenges drove him to retire from his career in the cable TV industry at age 54, Clint Ober embarked on a journey to heal his body and find a higher purpose in life. Recalling his childhood in the 1950s – when spending time barefoot was far more common – Clint began to explore how the disruption in our natural state of being grounded to the earth could impact our health. In Episode 90 of The MINDSet Game® podcast, Clint discusses: The science behind grounding and how physical contact with the earth affects various processes in the body, thereby reducing inflammation, alleviating pain and stress, and enhancing overall well-being How various studies conducted on subjects ranging from premature babies to elite athletes have demonstrated the power of grounding Practices and products that can help you incorporate grounding into your daily life To learn more about grounding or to purchase the products that Clint recommends, visit https://www.ultimatelongevity.com.
