Laylatul Qadr, the Night of Decree or Night of Power, is one of the most sacred nights in the Islamic calendar. It takes place in the last ten days of Ramadan and was the night in which the Qur'an was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

This lecture continues on to explain one of the ways Allah starts a Sura: Huruf Muqatta'at - The Despaired Letters. The speaker describes the wisdom as to why might Allah place these letters at the beginning of Sura's. He also explains the hidden meanings to why a Sura may end with the same theme it began with and provides numerous examples from the Qur'an for one to ponder upon its selected themes.

The speaker describes the different ways that Allah can begin a Sura such as with commands, oaths, praise, pure questions, etc. He also explains why Sura Fatiha is the ultimate beginning Sura in the Qur'an and the virtue it holds in portraying the final message of the Qur'an.

The concept of Naskh - Abrogation of Verses is introduced in this video. The speaker explains some of the reason why the Qur'an holds abrogation of verses. He continues on by explaining the different kinds of Naskh as well as listing their examples from the Qur'an and Hadith.
