The speaker introduces the concept of tafsir and how one can understand its Qur'anic interpretations. He further explains the different problems which are faced when learning tafsir in which one should be aware of such as retracting narration from the Israelite traditions. This series will be in 30 parts covering subjects such as the types of wahy, wisdom for revelation over 23 years, the order of verses and suras, reasons for revelation, unique features of Makkan and Madinan suras, good and bad tafsirs and translations, the clear and ambiguous verses, abrogation in the Qur’an, the seven modes of reading, the unique and divine method of Qur’an preservation, its special script and its inimitability and miracle aspect.

This session covers the arrangement of the Qur'an and explains the divine wisdom as to why the verses were placed in a specific way. The speaker goes on to introduce the concept of causes of revelation (Asbab Al Nuzul) and how many of the ayahs were compiled in due to an event that took place during the time of the Prophet ﷺ. He explains the benefits of learning the different types of Asbab Al Nuzul as well as lists the reasons why one should consider studying this concept.

The series continues by providing the reasons why the Qur'an was revealed over a course of 23 years. The first and last verses revealed in the Qur’an are discussed. The speaker further explains the divine wisdom of Ayah and Sura and why the Qur'an is structured in this eloquent manner.

This lesson covers the different names of the Holy Qur'an and their divine aspects as to why they are named. Examples of the names of the Qur'an include Al-Kitaab, An-Nur, Al-Furqaan. Further explains the definition of wahy and its attributes. States the three different methods of wahyi as well as listing the incidents that occurred during the Prophet’s life to these methods. (ex.
