Community Discussion: The TLDC State of Remote Work - Summer 2021
Remote work is the future of work. And the future is here.
Unfortunately, the circumstances that prompted that future also arrived with tremendous uncertainty and caution.
So what is the reality of Remote Work in our Community?
We ran a fifteen question survey on Remote Work for The Training, Learning, and Development Community, seeking to find answers on how TLDC Members are functioning in this massive and disruptive workplace shift induced by the pandemic.
And this episode is a Community Discussion where we talk about the results of that survey, including some of our individual experiences to each question.
It was probably one of the busier chat sessions we've had this year, most likely because we've universally felt the impact of Remote Work on our jobs.

The Top 5 Skills Instructional Designers Need with guests Bethany Kline and Cyndi Nagel
In this episode, we discussed the results of our recent survey "The Top 5 Skills Instructional Designers Need". Here's what they were ranked in order of importance:
Communication Skills, Creativity, Project Management, Learning Technology & Authoring Skills, and Writing/Copywriting.
Any surprises there? Not really - but there were some surprises in the bottom 5 we analyzed, and also some of the skills listed in between.
Guests Bethany Kline and Cyndi Nagel joined us on this one, with of course, lots of audience feedback via chat. We had some excellent questions with great answers, and overall, an energetic and informative Community Discussion.
