Community Member Showcase: Nadia Kader
I had a great conversation with Nadia Kader, an Instructional Designer and Coordinator from the Albuquerque Adult Learning Center. Aside from answering some of my typical questions, Nadia also shared her perspective of the variety of media she uses to support her professional development. Including some of the other broadcasters and L&D influencers out there that keep her inspired and progressing in her knowledge of instructional design. We also talked about some of her experiences working for a non-profit, which isn't a typical conversation we have here at TLDC. And Nadia also shared stories about her move from Brooklyn to Albuquerque, and some of the culture shock surrounding that.
Nadia is interesting and engaging, and a great person to have in your network. Give this episode a listen and make sure you reach out to Nadia to connect.

Community Member Showcase: Muturi Njeri
In this episode, we spoke with Muturi Njeri, a Learning Experience Designer based in Kenya. It was an inspiring conversation that left me with a really positive outlook on the future of L&D. Why? Because Muturi is so focused on helping others and is passionately becoming the best trainer he can, just to lift his learners up and help them be better. And it's people like Muturi I'm hoping will shape this industry and make it everything it deserves to be.
Give this one a listen.

Inclusive Design for New Employee Onboarding: Whose Job Is It Anyway? With Rubina Halwani
In this episode, Rubina Halwani shared her ideas about Inclusive Design for New Employee Onboarding. This is an important topic, and it's one we'll probably be returning to regularly at TLDC.
With so much happening in our world with job transition, and current social changes highlighting the importance of workplace inclusivity and diversity, Learning & Development is more important than ever. And one of the mission critical pieces many of us touch is onboarding.
Is inclusivity prioritized in your onboarding? It should be. Give this episode with Rubina a listen, and hopefully it will inspire you to make sure you place priority in thinking about how you are building and managing your onboarding programs.

From Marketing to HR to L&D: Special Guest Bruce Chen of KochaSoft
Bruce Chen is a Marketer turned L&D Professional, and currently the CEO of Kochasoft's LMS Division. He also has his own podcast, The Makeshift CMO.
And what was interesting about our conversation was getting some insight from Bruce about L&D, that was pretty much an outsider's perspective. As a marketer first, he had some compelling analysis about L&D and how hit overlaps with marketing, and where the future of Learning and Development is headed.
Give this episode a listen, especially if you have some interest in marketing. Bruce has a solid vision, and you'll probably learn something new.

He is such an easy interview, almost like he was meant to be interviewed.
