Barbarism vs. Civilization – James LaFond

It’s been a few months since we last spoke with James LaFond, but in the mean time the world has gone from civilized to ??? seemingly overnight, and James has re-emerged from his time spent out West writing and training to return to the Imperial auspices of the East Coast to connect with old friends and observe the Corona Clampdown up close. Along the way James has written a treatise on the parallels between Red and Blue State America and the ancient rivalries between the Greek empires of Athens and Sparta during the Peloponnesian War, and the ramifications for continued stratification of American society between the elite and the rest of us. — Brought to you by — Very special guest James LaFond – http://jameslafond.blogspot.com/ James LaFond on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/tabooyou Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/jameslafond Lynn Lockhart & The Crackpot Podcast – BitChute – https://www.bitchute.com/channel/crackpotpodcast/ – YouTube – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UChfybQ3WBKBnCksVkoSmPYg Books by James LaFond – https://jameslafond.blogspot.com/p/plantation-america-bookstore.html https://www.bitchute.com/video/Mp5smEAL5yIo/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 168 – Barbarism vs Civilization – James LaFond — References — – Illiad, Homer (762 B.C.) – A War Like No Other, Hanson (2006) – Hell’s Angels – Sympathy for the Devil, Myth of the 20th Century (2020) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2018/05/09/hells-angels-sympathy-for-the-devil/ – Twilight of Abundance – The Case for Global Cooling, Myth of the 20th Century (2019) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2019/08/28/twilight-of-abundance-the-case-for-global-cooling/ – Apocalisp: Memoir of American Decline, LaFond and Lockhart (2020) – https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087L526R8 – Barbarism vs. Civilization (excerpt), LaFond (2020) – https://theamericansun.com/2020/04/28/barbarism-vs-civilization/ – Barbarism vs. Civilization, LaFond (2020) – http://www.lulu.com/shop/james-lafond/barbarism-vs-civilization/hardcover/product-24511445.html – Navy Hospital Ship Sits Mostly Empty As Coronavirus Cripples New York, NewsLagoon (2020) – https://newslagoon.com/en/navy-hospital-ship-sits-mostly-empty-as-coronavirus-cripples-new-york/11813/ – Billionaire Gates’s Foundation to Focus Solely on Virus, NewsMax (2020) – https://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/gatesfoundation-focus-coronavirus-report/2020/04/26/id/964706/

Terror – Enemy of the People

In Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first inaugural address as President of the United States in 1933, he famously proclaimed the ‘only thing we have to fear is fear itself.’ Stated in the depths of the Great Depression, the United States would soon undergo a great transformation that increased the role of the Federal Government in the economic decisions of all Americans, and eventually led to the foundation of the globalized American Empire and the military industrial complex during World War II. After the end of the Cold War, America re-entered center-stage yet again with the War on Terror with the downing of the Pentagon and the Twin Towers in New York in 2001. And as the world enters yet another pivotal moment in 2020 with the Corona virus, fear once again places a vital role in cementing the psychology of the people the desire for yet another expansion of central authority for the always elusive promise of more security. https://www.bitchute.com/video/cf7rwL7MrWDR/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 167 – Terror – Enemy of the People — References — – The Tailor of Panama, Boorman (2001) – A War Like No Other, Hanson (2006) – 1177 B.C. – The Year Civilization Collapsed, Cline (2014) – Days of Rage, Myth of the 20th Century (2016) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2016/07/25/days-of-rage/ – Lithuania – Crossroads of the Baltic, Myth of the 20th Century (2017) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2017/06/28/lithuania-crossroads-of-the-baltic/ – The Grand Chessboard – Zbigniew Brzezinski, Myth of the 20th Century (2020) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2020/04/08/the-grand-chessboard-zbigniew-brzezinski/ – The FBI Just Put White Nationalists and Neo-Nazis on the Same Threat Level as ISIS, Owen (2020) – https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/3a8awn/the-fbi-just-put-white-nationalists-and-neo-nazis-on-the-same-threat-level-as-isis

The Grand Chessboard – Zbigniew Brzezinski

In the world of geopolitical strategy, the number of so called experts or analysts is too innumerable to count. But in the rarified world of actual foreign policy decision making and influence, the list drastically shortens to only a few names. Although not as famous as rival Henry Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski’s term as chief foreign policy adviser to both Lyndon Johnson and Jimmy Carter marked him as a significant influencer during and after the Cold War era regarding enabling and extending America’s superpower status via realist and globalist politics. https://www.bitchute.com/video/Px9SfGaxMa0v/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 165 – The Grand Chessboard – Zbigniew Brzezinski — References — – Between Two Ages – America’s Role in the Technetronic Era, Brzezinski (1970) – The Crisis of Democracy, Crozier et. al. The Diamond Trade – Rough Cuts

‘Diamonds are Forever’, as the saying goes, imparts a sense of strength, legacy, and significance. From a geological point of view, diamonds, formed over millions of years, are indeed ancient and enduring. From a cultural standpoint, however, the concept of a mass market for diamonds in the form of wedding rings and like is a relatively new concept. Tonight we explore how this phenomenon came to be, the mining and distribution of diamonds, and the major players behind this multi-billion dollar a year industry. https://www.bitchute.com/video/owzc41A1YMQM/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 164 – The Diamond Trade – Rough Cuts — References — – The Market for Lemons: Quality Uncertainty and the Market Mechanism, Akerlof (1970) – Diamonds are Forever, Hamilton (1971) – Freakonomics, Levitt (2005) – Blood Diamond, Zwick (2006) – Rhodesia – Last Days of Empire, Myth of the 20th Century (2017) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2017/02/07/rhodesia-last-days-of-empire/

Ockham’s Guillotine – a conversation with James Bowery

In a time of crisis, anything seems possible. In today’s slow moving descent into globalism, which James Bowery describes as a system that turned us all into ‘mechanical turks’, the recent emergence of a global pandemic has thrown all previous assumptions into question and opens the possibility for something new. With a strong science background in chemistry and computer science, James has worked on information theory, biofuels, and recently a concept he terms as ‘property money.’ In this wide-ranging conversation, we discuss with James why the current system isn’t working, what we should be striving for, and ultimately how we can best go about making these hoped for changes a reality. — Brought to you by — Very special guest James Bowery https://jimbowery.blogspot.com https://www.bitchute.com/video/PvDnR7hZ3LKv/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 163 – Ockham’s Guillotine – a conversation with James Bowery — References — – Innate Social Aptitudes of Man, Hamilton (1975) – http://www.majorityrights.com/docs/Hamilton75.pdf – The Ethnostate, Robinson (1993) – Why Princeton was spared, Bernstein (2008) – https://paw.princeton.edu/article/why-princeton-was-spared – In Our Hands, Murray (2006) – The Horse, the Wheel, and Language, Anthony (2007) – Coming Apart, Murray (2010) – Ancestral Journeys, Manco (2013) – Zero to One, Thiel (2014) – Ending Imprisonment’s Slavery With Border Enforcement, Bowery (2016) – http://sortocracy.org/ending-imprisonments-slavery-with-border-enforcement/ – The Moral Individual vs Acting As One, Red Ice (2017) – https://redice.tv/red-ice-radio/the-moral-individual-vs-acting-as-one – Civil War II – America Unraveling – John Mark, Myth of the 20th Century (2019) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2019/04/10/civil-war-ii-america-unraveling-john-mark/ – Bell Labs – The Idea Factory, Myth of the 20th Century (2019) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2019/11/20/bell-labs-the-idea-factory/ – Cybernetics – Across the Grid, Myth of the 20th Century (2020) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2020/02/19/cybernetics-across-the-grid/ – Property Money, Bowery (2020) – https://jimbowery.blogspot.com/2020/01/property-money.html – Haplogroup is not language, but R1b-L23 expansion was associated with Proto-Indo-Europeans – https://indo-european.eu/haplogroup-is-not-language-but-r1b-l23-expansion-was-associated-with-proto-indo-europeans/ – Necessity and Incentives Opening the Space Frontier: Testimony before the House Subcommittee on Space – https://jimbowery.blogspot.com/2018/04/necessity-and-incentives-opening-space.html – Unqualified Reservations – https://www.unqualified-reservations.org/ – Fair Church Dogma – http://www.fairchurch.org/MayTheBestWin.html – Spasim – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spasim

Entitlements – The High Cost of Good Intentions

In 1883, Otto von Bismarck enacted a series of stated-funded social programs geared towards offering direct financial assistance to poorer segments of German society. Often viewed cynically as an attempt at staving off socialist revolution in the working class, Bismarck’s system for the rapidly industrializing (and militarizing) nation has proven a model for many governments worldwide. As government spending has swelled in places that adopted the welfare model such as France reaching as high as 50% and public debt surpassing 100% of GDP, however, many are questioning the sustainability of ever more “free” handouts. Tonight, we discuss the appeal, the mechanics, and the peril of the welfare state in general, the United States in particular, and its prospects going forward. https://www.bitchute.com/video/ueTFbszLKS0u/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 161 – Entitlements – The High Cost of Good Intentions — References — – Healthcare Reform Is About Protecting Monopolies, The Last Psychiatrist (2010) – https://thelastpsychiatrist.com/2010/01/healthcare_reform_is_about_pro.html – The serious consequences of the negative interest rates, Hess (2015) – https://www.swissbanking.org/en/services/insight/1.15/the-serious-consequences-of-the-negative-interest-rates – Excess Management Is Costing the U.S. $3 Trillion Per Year, Hamel and Zanini (2016) – https://hbr.org/2016/09/excess-management-is-costing-the-us-3-trillion-per-year – The High Cost of Good Intentions, Cogan (2017) – Social Security, Medicare and other human services are a growing share of government spending, Pew Research Center (2017) – https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/04/04/what-does-the-federal-government-spend-your-tax-dollars-on-social-insurance-programs-mostly/ft_17-04-03_budget_420px/ – American Cauldron – Immigration and Its Discontents, Myth of the 20th Century (2017) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2017/08/17/american-cauldron-immigration-and-its-discontents/ – The Progressive Era – Roots of American Bureaucracy, Myth of the 20th Century (2018) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2018/09/05/the-progressive-era-roots-of-american-bureaucracy/ – U.S. national health expenditure as percent of GDP from 1960 to 2019 – https://www.statista.com/statistics/184968/us-health-expenditure-as-percent-of-gdp-since-1960/ – Entitlement Spending – https://www.usgovernmentspending.com/entitlement_spending

Korean Tiger – the Park Chung-Hee Era

In the West today, and throughout much of the 20th century, rapid Asian economic development was something that proceeded so consistently that it appeared as if by natural law. Like Japan before it and with China today, however, behind the scenes were often very driven leaders who, in South Korea’s case, seized power in a military coup and tightly coupled state economic policy with support for Chaebol conglomerates in key sectors of heavy industry focused on export-led growth. Tonight we are joined by Borzoi, friend and expert on many things Korean, to help us better understand Park Chung-Hee, the man who ruled South Korea for 18 years during the period of its most rapid development. — Brought to you by — Very special guest Borzoi @BoomerChang https://www.bitchute.com/video/0mtXjfN1KtQo/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 160 – Korean Tiger – the Park Chung-Hee Era — References — – Governing the Market, Wade (1990) – Silmido, Kang (2003) – The Park Chung-Hee Era, Kim et. al. Italy – The Struggle for Nationhood

Italy is a country with the world’s highest number of world heritage sites, yet often finishes low on the list of best places for doing business. Historically Italy has sent millions abroad throughout Europe and the Americas, forming one of the world’s largest diaspora networks, yet today has one of the highest net immigrations in Europe from places like Asia and the Middle East. Centered at the crossroads of the Occident and the Orient, the saying ‘all roads lead to Rome’ has presented both promise in the case of the Silk Road and subsequent wealth generated during the Renaissance and the perils posed by transmission of disease with the Black Plague and now the Coronavirus first entering Europe through Italy. Tonight Eduordo from the Italian MetapoliticsTV joins us to help us better understand this country rich in both history and complexity. — Brought to you by — Very special guest Edoardo @metapoliticstv from youtube.com/metapolitics and Fulwar Skipwith @Fulwar_Skipwith https://www.bitchute.com/video/kx2vzDt1U92C/ Myth of the 20th Century – Episode 159 – Italy – The Struggle for Nationhood — References — – La Dolce Vita, Fellini (1960) – Catch-22, Heller (1961) – Growth and Structure in the Economy of Modern Italy, Hildebrand (1965) – Il sorpasso has Italians riding high, Christian Science Monitor (1987) – https://www.csmonitor.com/1987/0508/oital.html – Gomorrah, Garrone (2008) – The Failure of Italian Nationhood, Graziano (2010) – The Chinese Workers Who Assemble Designer Bags in Tuscany, Max (2018) – https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2018/04/16/the-chinese-workers-who-assemble-designer-bags-in-tuscany – Cold Brotherhood – The Reunification of Germany, Myth of the 20th Century (2018) – https://myth20c.wordpress.com/2018/09/19/cold-brotherhood-the-reunification-of-germany/ – ‘Italexit’: A Bigger Thorn Than Brexit?, Aslam (2018) – https://www.forbes.com/sites/naeemaslam/2018/05/23/italexit-a-bigger-thorn-than-brexit/#367d5bc06046 – The Orthodox Nationalist: Mussolini’s Humiliation in the Greco-Italian War – TON 072419, Johnson (2019) – https://www.radioalbion.com/2019/07/the-orthodox-nationalist-mussolinis.html – Black Death and Plague in the 14th Century, The Medieval Combat Society – http://www.themcs.org/black%20death.htm
