How to Turn a Last-Minute Black Friday Sale into a Massive Win

In today's episode, I'm sharing how I stumbled into success offering a Black Friday sale and made $5k in 4 days and you can too! My On-The Fly Black Friday Sale That Paid Off Big-Time It all began when we decided to take a break from our usual Thanksgiving spent with family and instead headed to Las Vegas. Little did I know that this trip would turn out to be a turning point in my entrepreneurial journey. I woke up the day before Thanksgiving and started scrolling on my phone. I saw all these incredible Black Friday deals and discounts. I started to wonder if there was a way I could tap into this Black Friday craze and boost my own business. As a blogger and entrepreneur, I was always on the lookout for innovative ways to sell my products and services. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to do just that. My Black Friday Offer I decided to lean into the excitement of entrepreneurs growing their businesses in the New Year and offered a one-hour coaching session where I would also email them 5 action steps they could use in their business. I decided to charge $250 per session, a discount from my current $350 per hour coaching rate. I slapped together a landing page and buy button and started sending emails. Each day I'd send a new email that I wrote on the fly, and each day I got sales. I ended up making over $5k in just 4 days. This paid for our Vegas trip and all our Christmas presents that year. What surprised me most was how there was an income stream I didn't know was there. And all I had to do was tap into it. This unexpected success taught me a valuable lesson about the power of seizing opportunities and thinking outside the box. It showed me that sometimes, the most significant breakthroughs can come when we least expect them. Show Notes: MiloTreeCart Personality Quiz: What Digital Product Should I Create? Focusing on What We Can Control In the ever-changing landscape of online advertising, it's important to focus on what we can control. We cannot control the fate of third-party cookies or the advancements in artificial intelligence that may impact ad revenue. However, we can control how we show up as a real person with real solutions. This is the key to staying competitive. Scaling Your Business: From Overwhelm to Six-Figure Success

In today's episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing AnneMarie Rose, a business coach for online entrepreneurs. AnneMarie specializes in helping women entrepreneurs scale their businesses to six figures.  Before we get started, if you are ready to start selling digital products, we are going to be running an unbelievable Black Friday Special for MiloTreeCart. Click here to get on the waitlist so you are the first to find out about it. The Importance of Vision in Business Growth During our conversation, AnneMarie emphasizes the importance of starting with a vision when growing a company. She acknowledges that some listeners may feel that having a vision is a luxury for successful people, but she emphasizes that having a clear vision is essential for determining the best strategies for revenue generation. To help listeners develop their vision, AnneMarie provides a practical exercise prompting them to reflect on what aspects of their business they enjoy the most and what drains them. She also encourages them to imagine their business 12 to 18 months in the future, offering only two things. This exercise helps narrow their focus and provides clues on how to make money. She suggests developing a clear outline of what will be included in their offerings and how they plan to deliver them. It's important to understand the problem their target market is experiencing and how they describe it to themselves. By having conversations and asking questions, they can find potential clients to talk to. Building an Audience and Crafting Your Offer AnneMarie discusses the importance of choosing an audience that you have a direct connection with when starting a business. She suggests that it is most effective to serve an audience that includes people you already know, such as friends or past colleagues. This is especially relevant if you are offering services related to a specific industry, like corporate America. She explaines that building an audience from scratch can be a lengthy process, taking at least three years to start generating significant revenue. However, she emphasizes that you don't have to start with a large audience. Even with a small following, you can still find clients who have some connection to you, whether through social media or other channels. Conducting Survey Calls and Turning Them into Sales Opportunities AnneMarie provides advice on conducting survey calls and turning them into sales opportunities. She suggestes starting the conversation by asking the interviewee to imagine a perfect world scenario where the problem they are facing is completely solved. This allows them to envision their ideal solution. The Power of Authenticity and Transparency in Selling AnneMarie discusses the importance of being transparent and authentic when selling your offer for the first time. She suggestes acknowledging that you are new to the business side of things and may make mistakes, but you are committed to helping your clients through any challenges. This vulnerability can make you more relatable and likable to potential customers. Using Quizzes as a Tool for Growing Email Lists AnneMarie explaines that quizzes are interactive and provide a more engaging experience compared to simple downloads. She recommends using quizzes as a way to guide people to gain clarity. Making Business Strategies Fun and Engaging We discuss the importance of making business strategies fun and engaging for customers. AnneMarie introduces the idea of using quizzes as a lead generation tool. I mention the digital product personality quiz I created that helps determine the best digital product for individuals based on their preferences and personality styles. Conclusion Remember, you are at the center of your business. Keep practicing, keep learning, and keep growing. What Is This Secret Strategy to Drive Traffic and Increase Visibility?

Today, I'm excited to share with you an insightful conversation I had with Joyce Layman, a seasoned business coach. The interview is so rich in content I've decided to split it into two parts. The Power of GIFs in Exposure and Traffic Our conversation took an interesting turn when Joyce introduced the concept of using GIFs to increase visibility, discoverability, and traffic. For those unfamiliar, GIFs are short, looping animations that can be created on platforms like Giphy, which boasts over 700 million users. Joyce shared her own success story with GIFs, explaining how each one she creates includes a link back to her website. This strategy has led to increased website traffic and even direct outreach from people who discovered her through her GIFs. #300: Unlock Success: He Makes $10k/Month Selling Online Cooking Classes

In this episode of The Blogger Genius Podcast, I interview chef and food blogger, Adam Sobel, from the blog Cinnamon Snail. We discuss how Adam monetizes his blog mostly through selling online cooking classes and a successful cooking class membership program. Adam shares insights on video production, promotion, and using Facebook ads to drive traffic and sign-ups. He also talks about his journey from working in restaurants to launching his own food truck, and eventually offering online cooking classes. Adam emphasizes the importance of understanding customer lifetime value (LTV) and customer acquisition cost (CAC), and the benefits of a membership model for generating recurring revenue. He encourages authenticity and understanding your audience for success. The Benefits of a Membership Model Adam and I discussed the benefits of having a membership model for generating recurring revenue. Memberships create a sense of community and provide a reliable source of income. They also eliminate the need for additional marketing expenses. Starting a Class or Workshop: It's Easier Than You Think Adam suggests that starting a class or workshop can be done with relatively simple equipment, such as a DSLR camera. He shares his setup using multiple cameras but mentions that even a laptop or iPhone can do the job. Show Notes: MiloTreeCart Personality Quiz: What Digital Product Should I Create? Skyrocket Your Income: The Blogger's Guide to Cutting-Edge Email Marketing

In today's episode, I'm interviewing Kyle Stout, an email marketing expert. We had an interesting discussion about the challenges of selling digital products, the power of email marketing, and the importance of having a creative mindset.  We address the misconception that email marketing is not a sexy or an effective sales channel. Contrary to this belief, we both agree that email is a highly converting channel and can contribute significantly to monthly sales. This is especially true for bloggers and businesses with a substantial email list but who are not actively selling anything. One of the main concerns people have about email marketing is the fear of annoying their subscribers or spamming their list. Kyle advises that having a creative mindset and providing valuable content can overcome these concerns. He suggested focusing on topics that resonate with your audience and connecting them with the products or services you sell. For instance, I shared an example of a food blogger who hesitated to promote her paid workshop to her email list, fearing she would be spamming them. Kyle emphasized that promoting valuable offers to the list is not spamming. Show Notes: MiloTreeCart Personality Quiz: What Digital Product Should I Create? Secret Truths About Selling – Part 4 (Why Your Customer Journey Is SO Important)

In today’s episode of The Blogger Genius Podcast, I’m excited to share with you Part 4 in my series on selling on the importance of mapping out your customer journey as bloggers and online entrepreneurs. If you missed Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3, you can hear them here. Part 1 – Why Selling is So Uncomfortable? Part 2 – Insider Tips on 6 Best Ways to Sell Part 3 – Unlocking the Psychology of Selling Your customer journey is the way you build your know, like, and trust factor so people will come back to your blog, click on your posts, and ultimately buy your products and services. I provide recommendations for improving the customer journey, such as talking to customers, analyzing analytics, and practicing empathy. I talk about how every post on your blog needs to be a sales page with a clear call to action. I also highlight the importance of understanding how our content and products are perceived by those unfamiliar with our brand, emphasizing the need for clear communication. I conclude by emphasizing the long-term nature of building a customer journey and why this will set you up for success as you continue to compete with AI. I also emphasize the need for bloggers to sell products and services and introduce MiloTreeCart as a tool for non-techies to sell digital products easily. MiloTree Pop-Up App Join My Blogger Genius Email List Catch My Party Become a Blogger Genius Facebook Group MiloTreeCart Affiliate Program All Blogger Genius Podcast Episodes Subscribe to the Blogger Genius Podcast: iTunes Stitcher YouTube Spotify The Importance of Selling Products and Services As bloggers, we often focus on creating content. However, it's equally important to sell products and services. This not only diversifies our income streams but also adds value to our readers. Every page on our blog should be a sales page with a call to action, guiding visitors and providing value to them throughout their journey. Understanding the Customer Journey The customer journey is the sum of experiences a visitor goes through when interacting with our brand, blog, or product. It typically involves four stages: awareness, consideration, decision-making, and retention. Awareness: This is when potential customers first come across your blog or brand. Consideration: At this stage, they are evaluating your offerings and deciding whether they align with their needs. Decision-making: This is the point where they decide to purchase your product or service. Retention: This final stage involves keeping your customers engaged and loyal to your brand. Improving the Customer Journey Improving the customer journey involves understanding how our content and products are perceived by those who are unfamiliar with our brand. For instance, I once came across a food blogger who failed to communicate clearly to potential readers with autoimmune diseases by using unfamiliar terminology. This highlights the need for putting ourselves in the shoes of our audience to ensure that our message is clear and relatable. To improve the customer journey, I recommend: Talking to customers: Direct conversations can provide valuable insights into their experiences and needs. Analyzing analytics: This can help identify areas that need improvement. Practicing empathy: This involves understanding the customer's perspective and addressing their needs effectively. Tools for Selling Digital Products For those of us who are not tech-savvy, tools like MiloTreeCart can be a lifesaver. It allows us to sell digital products easily, making it a valuable asset in our blogging journey. The Long-Term Nature of Building a Customer Journey Building a customer journey is not a one-time task. It's a long-term process that requires continuous effort and optimization. Start small and focus on areas that will have the biggest impact. Remember, small changes can make a big difference.
