When we really take a step back and look at where we came from, and how different things are now it's incredible. Whether it be in our careers, families, with our health, etc. It's SO important to take a step back and really give yourself the credit you deserve for how far you've come. 67. Healing the Thyroid With Ayurveda with Dr. Marianne Teitelbaum

Dr. Marianne Teitelbaum graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1984. She immediately began her studies with Maharishi Ayurveda, obtaining Ayurvedic Practitioner certification in 1992. In the late 1990's she began a 17-year one-on-one internship with Vaidya Rama Kant Mishra, an award-winning herbal formulator who hails from a 5,000 -year-old family lineage of Raj Vaidyas, treating the royalty of India. During her internship Vaidya Mishra taught her how to treat practically every disease, making over 500 herbal formulas for all the problems they were treating together. Dr. Teitelbaum is now writing books, articles, blogs and courses based on the knowledge Vaidya Mishra imparted to her before his untimely passing in April of 2017. Her first book, Ayurveda and the Thyroid Gland: Natural Treatments to Heal Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism and Hashimoto's published by Inner Traditions Publishing Company is due out in March of 2019. She runs an extremely busy Ayurvedic practice, treating all diseases, by addressing her patients' imbalances, instructing them in diet and daily routine, and teaching them Ayurvedic cleansing techniques. In this episode I am talking all about bingeing, and what it does to your hormones. I know there is an emotional side to bingeing, but that's not what I'm going to cover today. Today I want to give you a better understanding of what happens to your body when you binge. Now I get it, I've been there. Eating an entire pizza was not out of the question for me when I was in college. And I know what it can be like to deny yourself that small scoop of ice cream at night, that leads to eating an entire pint on the weekend. 59. What are you still putting up with?

I was recently on a phone call with a woman in my current 12 Week Program, and some of the things she was telling me as far as results goes, was blowing my mind. Weight loss sure, inches gone yep. More energy, better workouts, etc. etc. But what a lot of people don't talk about is the life changing parts of a program. The things you will stop tolerating in your life, because you know better. When you are able to be more in tune with your body that you can feel when something is too much and you back off. What if you were able to have the confidence to go up to your boss and say "You know what, this is causing me too much stress, it's overloading me, and I'm not able to handle it right now. I need to take care of myself, and take a step back." How would that alone change things for you? The ability to say No to more things that aren't in your best interest.
