593: Ryan Levesque is solving all the world’s problems

This show is for all of you who have a product or service to offer...or who want to someday. You, like me, are working hard to create something people want, right? You build and create something, then go out and offer it to the world! And hope...you got it right. What if you could just ASK people what they want, then provide it to them as they exchange millions of their dollars for what you have to offer? Today we talk with Ryan Levesque. He’s become famous with his Ask Method. However, it’s not really that easy. To ask people what they want, assumes they know what they want. And we often don’t. We usually don’t...not fully. But we do know...what we don’t want. Or we know what problems we deal with that we wish would be solved. That is the punchline. Kind of. You also can’t just ask anyone...not even anyone in your audience or demographic. You have to ask the right people. So we have an incredibly simple concept, that is not super easy to figure out. 587: John O’Leary on not living accidentally

We are discussing, not letting time and life just slip by. We bring back John O’Leary, the author of the NY Times bestselling book ON FIRE: The 7 Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life, and host of Live Inspired Podcast – a top iTunes & Inc. Magazine, business podcast – and highly sought-after speaker. John was badly burnt on 100% of his body and should have died. Today he says if he could go back, he’d let it all happen as it did. In this show we got to talking about many of us...maybe most...being at a handicap because we HAVEN’T had a significant tragedy happen to us that keeps us from taking life and time for granted. We fall into inactivity and what John has coined “accidental living”. It’s a very convicting discussion folks. Sometimes we want to discount someone who we think had a benefit we didn’t. Well, having a gas can blow you up as a kid, JOhn feels may just be that...a benefit. The point is not to go blow yourself up. 586: Hope is the greatest motivation

We are talking about motivation. Without adequate motivation, we do nothing. Literally, we’d never get out of bed. The only reason we do anything at all is due to motive. So what will increase our motives? In this show today we hear a 1.5 min message from Zig Ziglar on what he believes to be the number one source of motivation - hope. Now you can hope for any number of things, but the key is not those things, but the hope itself - the reality of you actually expecting something to be possible and come to pass. The danger of course is when you DON’T actually have hope. We have an ever increasing amount of depression and even suicide in our culture today. I’m not a doctor or psychiatrist folks, admittedly. But I’m a student of humans and their behavior and I’ll wager there is little depression or suicide when there is actual hope. So this message is a big one.
