How Google Outsmarted Facebook and What it Means for Marketers
So, how did Facebook end up taking all the heat for this privacy stuff, while Google sat back quietly and dodged the bullets? On today’s episode, co-hosts Ralph Burns and Kasim Aslam talk about the absolute brilliance of Google. For one thing, they don’t have a “face of the company,” so while everyone is out here hating Mark Zuckerberg and turning him into a meme, Google (whoever “Google” is) is more than happy to let him be the villain. Google watched Facebook take the heat for all the iOS 14 privacy updates madness. Then, when everyone was so fatigued that they didn’t even care anymore, Google rolled out Performance Max, the craziest, most invasive, most heavily-targeted tool in the history of the world. It’s literally going to change everything.Listen in for tips on staying on top of what’s new with Google Performance Max and what it means for your business. 3 Ways Running Traffic Has Changed... Maybe Forever
If you’re getting sick of the Google Performance Max discussion, get over it. Performance Max is the future of all things traffic. On today’s episode, co-hosts Ralph Burns and Kasim Aslam walk us through the three big things they’ve learned from Google Performance Max in the past few months. At this early point in history, most people are not yet running PM. If you are, you’re in a great spot as a pioneer and influencer. It’s tempting to hold all this knowledge close to the vest, the guys say, so they can enjoy the fruits of their labor before the whole world catches on, but they can’t help but share. They (and their clients) are already spending thousands (even millions) of dollars on this platform. It truly changes everything we’ve ever known about traffic. The Golden Rule of Performance Max, Kasim says, is that there are no Golden Rules. Every client, every implementation is so different—and so customizable in the ways that matter. They’re literally learning something new every day.Listen in to find out what Google Performance Max can do for your business or agency.IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:3 major events in online advertising and marketing that changed the entire game Why you need to stop thinking of Google as a placement platformWhat you need to know about user-generated content and massive media creationWhy Kasim believes the click-to-conversion paradigm is dead LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Solutions 8Solutions 8 on YouTubeNick Shackelford on LinkedInKonstant KreativeBilloNo Limit CreativesPerpetual Traffic SurveyFollow Perpetual Traffic on TwitterConnect with Ralph and Kasim on TwitterOUR PARTNERS:Get a Free Month of Blogs from BKA ContentGet a Free book on how to optimize your website Conversion FanaticsLearn how bots can automate your lead flow from BotBuilders7 Levels of Scale workbookGet Roland’s book, Zero Down, FREEFind out your Leadership Trust Score at Ready to Lead.Register for our free Founders Board workshopThanks so much for joining us this week. An Ethical Way to Steal Your Competitors YouTube Traffic
This hack won a “Wicked Smart” award at a recent War Room Mastermind, so you know it’s got to be good. On today’s “What’s Working Now” episode, host Kasim Aslam shares a brilliant tip for free that a bunch of other entrepreneurs had to pay $35k to hear. Well, that’s a little bit of an exaggeration. Thirty-five grand is the annual fee for a War Room Mastermind membership (and totally worth the investment, Kasim says). He shared his totally legal hack in a five-minute powerpoint presentation at a recent meeting, and his fellow members were duly impressed. It all started in November 2020 when Youtube came out and said they were going to show ads on all videos. In January 2022, Kasim came up with a wicked smart idea to use that to his decisive advantage.Listen in to hear how you too can pull off an ethical heist of your competitors’ most valuable organic traffic.IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:The biggest thing Kasim has gotten from War Room this year How Kasim’s ad got a 31% view rate and a massive 8-minute average view duration Why Google is still protecting some videos from ads in 2022Why Kasim’s ad doesn’t qualify as “interruption marketing” LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:War Room MastermindPerpetual Traffic SurveyFollow Perpetual Traffic on TwitterConnect with Ralph and Kasim on TwitterOUR PARTNERS:Get a Free Month of Blogs from BKA ContentGet a Free book on how to optimize your website Conversion FanaticsLearn how bots can automate your lead flow from BotBuilders7 Levels of Scale workbookGet Roland’s book, Zero Down, FREEFind out your Leadership Trust Score at Ready to Lead.Register for our free Founders Board workshopThanks so much for joining us this week. Episode 387: Funnels and Google Ads Now a Match Made in Heaven?
Historically, Google advertisers haven’t liked funnels—for a lot of reasons. But is that about to drastically change? On today’s bite-sized episode, host Kasim Aslam is talking about his favorite topic (cue the sarcasm): funnels. Funnels haven’t functioned well traditionally in the Google ecosystem, so he hasn’t had much use for them. Until Google Performance Max. Now, not only is Kasim rethinking his opinion of funnels, he’s re-evaluating the very definition. “Marketers didn’t invent the funnel,” he says. “A funnel is a natural sequence through which a purchasing decision is made. It exists for your product or service in your industry completely independent of you.” The funnel is with your customer. The more you work to understand your customer, your avatar, the more you understand the funnel. Funnels aren’t dead, he says. They’re more important than ever.Listen in to find out more.IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:How the full funnel marketing approach is built into the fabric of Google’s advertising What Google does with the goal, audiences, and assets you give them Why it’s counterproductive to dictate location to GoogleHow Google Performance Max builds awareness LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:Perpetual Traffic SurveyFollow Perpetual Traffic on TwitterConnect with Ralph and Kasim on TwitterOUR PARTNERS:Get a Free Month of Blogs from BKA ContentGet a Free book on how to optimize your website Conversion FanaticsLearn how bots can automate your lead flow from BotBuilders7 Levels of Scale workbookGet Roland’s book, Zero Down, FREEFind out your Leadership Trust Score at Ready to Lead.Register for our free Founders Board workshopThanks so much for joining us this week. Episode 386: Crash Course on Hiring a Virtual Team with Shaina Weisinger
Finding the right people to work for you and with you is one of the most important—and intimidating—parts of running a business. On today’s episode, co-hosts Ralph Burns and Kasim Aslam sit down with Shaina Weisinger, CEO and founder of Repurpose House, to talk about how to hire the right people to grow and scale your business. Shaina started her company because there was a huge market for repurposed content and no one was doing it. But she had been a bottleneck in the past and knew she couldn’t be the one doing all the work this time around. She’d create the processes, the SOPs, make them efficient, document them, and pass the baton. She designed a recurring, replicable model and built her business up from the ground like that. Not only does she have incredible processes for the work her company does, she has well-oiled processes for hiring people to do that work—both domestic and overseas.Listen in for some practical advice on building systems that work and hiring the right people for each and every job.IN THIS EPISODE YOU’LL LEARN:Shaina’s step-by-step hiring process (and how she weeds people out) What’s included in the video they require all potential hires to makeWhich job listing platform works best (and which one to avoid)Pros and cons of hiring talent from overseas (and how to pay fairly) LINKS AND RESOURCES MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE:ShainaWeisinger.comIndeedRepurpose HousePerpetual Traffic SurveyFollow Perpetual Traffic on TwitterConnect with Ralph and Kasim on TwitterOUR PARTNERS:Get a Free Month of Blogs from BKA ContentGet a Free book on how to optimize your website Conversion FanaticsLearn how bots can automate your lead flow from BotBuilders7 Levels of Scale workbookGet Roland’s book, Zero Down, FREEFind out your Leadership Trust Score at Ready to Lead.Register for our free Founders Board workshopThanks so much for joining us this week.
