Deseret News - See "Social Justice As A Religion"

Jacob Hess and C D Cunningham have written an article in the Deseret News on why it is important to see Critical Social Justice as a new religion. While I have stated for years that this IS a new religion, there are some dicey points made that need to be discussed. I am joined by Jacob Hess to discuss his article. Does an "interfaith" approach work with this kind of ideology? How does this play out in the church? Website - www.cwicmedia.com

ESG, Bud Light, and The Fight For Capitalism

A little bit of static first few minutes. In 2022, Utah State Treasurer Marlo Oaks divested state funds out of BlackRock holdings as he learned more about their commitment to ESG, a corporate social credit system. Marlo discusses how ESG can affect large companies' decisions like hiring Dillan Mulvaney at Bud Light. Also, how ESG can undermine both shareholders and consumers and how this is a fight for capitalism and free markets. This is the right guy for this topic. Website - www.cwicmedia.com

The Jerusalem Temple As The Great and Spacious Building and the Launch Of The Book of Mormon

If you have followed this channel, you know that I have stated over the years that in Lehi's Dream, the most likely building represented by the Great and Spacious Building, is the Temple at Jerusalem. Understanding why one might think this helps frame the launching of the Book of Mormon. It's all about Jesus Christ and the mass corruption in the Temple of Solomon by the Deuteronomists at the time of Lehi and Jeremiah. 1 Nephi 1 opens with Lehi in a vision about Jesus Christ. This is what he was preaching. This is why they wanted to kill him. Website - www.cwicmedia.com

The Garden of Eden w/ Pastor Jeff McCullough "Ground Zero"

Another great discussion! Pastor Jeff McCullough and Latter-day Saint Greg Matsen discuss the Garden of Eden. A few months ago, I sat down with Jeff to ask him about his understanding of the Garden of Eden. It was obvious to me that this was an area that needed to be discussed and that it offers the framework to better understand many of the core differences in our theologies. We agreed to sit down and follow up on the conversation. This episode is that follow-up. We touch on: - The beguiling of Eve - What does "death" mean anciently? - The Pre-Mortal World - What was the plan of God? - How does the Garden of Eden inform both God's Plan and the purpose of mankind? - At what point could Adam and Eve procreate? - The Tree of Life - The necessity for mankind to have Faith in Christ. - And much more! LDS Pride Month, Charlie Bird, & Confusion

Every Pride Month, the ideology of identitarianism encroaches further into Latter-day Saint culture. Charlie Bird's decision to marry his boyfriend brings many of the problems and confusion on this topic into focus. Pride Month lifts lesser identities above being a Child of God. The Brethren have given some clear guidance on the conflict between the gospel and these pernicious ideologies, such as identitarianism and intersectionality, but you must look for it. For this reason, there is a lot of confusion among the members of the church. Latter-day Saint influencers, including some very popular ones, are not willing to talk about the First Great Commandment and instead go directly to the Second Great Commandment. This adds to the confusion. Many are investing in a Hope for Change instead of a Hope In Christ. Website - www.cwicmedia.com

Wokeness, Victimhood, and Charity With Virgins, Talents, and Goats

If Jesus spoke of our time, would he have spoken of the ideologies and philosophies such as wokeness and victimhood in our day? Those things that contradict the Gospel of Jesus Christ? The Parables of the Ten Virgins, the Talents, and the Sheep and Goats from Matthew 25 are better understood by including the preceding chapter, Matthew 24. Matthew 24 is the chapter used for Joseph Smith - Matthew in the Pearl of Great Price. It is about the last days. Several phrases and ideas in chapter 24 carry over to the three parables. And if we look closely, these three parables are woven together and give each other meaning. Take a listen! Website - www.cwicmedia.com
