God's "Patriarchy" is part of what was lost in the time of Lehi, the Plain and Precious things. It is restored in 1 Nephi 1, Moses 1, and Abraham 3. It is the council of the Gods that we participate in. Interfaith work is different from missionary work. For those who don't have this experience, it is difficult not to fall into a missionary mindset. But there is goodness to be had in creating relationships with others even if the goal is not conversion. President Nelson gives great examples of this and summarizes this idea in his "Peacemakers" talk. I have arrived at my testimony in three different ways, Intellectual, Experience, and Spirit. God's Patriarchy, Kolob, and Flattening The Hierarchy
God has a Patriarchy. It is His order, priesthood, and word. Abraham chapter 3 helps define this Patriarchy with the parallelism of cosmology and spirits. This is the "DBR" of God. Kolob is simply the beginning of the order. When Lehi says, "There must be opposition in all things," he is not speaking of just opposites. He is speaking of everything in between. This allows for order, truth, and hierarchy/patriarchy. The adversary wishes to "flatten the hierarchy" of God and to create a forced outcome, "Equity."
