Why we keep burning out with Amie Mcnee
For those of you that have been following along on my journey for a while, you will know that 2020 was one of the biggest years of my life professionally. My business experienced incredible growth, I welcomed so many more members into the Sistahood and I launched my first mastermind to help businesswomen scale their businesses and make huge impact. It has been so rewarding, but now looking back on that I am realising what a crazy time that was and how all of us were set up to fail as far as not taking time to rest, feeling like we needed to hustle to change our business models due to covid and to give as much as we could to our communities who were all needing support. So I did all the things. I got it all done, but by the end of the year I was severely rundown, my immune system was shot, I had a fatty liver and I was wrecked. I vowed that 2021 would be different and then the year started out to be just as crazy if not crazier than 2020. Something needs to give. I am now truly realising and leaning into the fact that I need to slow down. I have been burnt out and it’s exhausting. My guest today on the podcast is Amie Mcnee and is the perfect woman to chat to about this topic. This is actually her second time on the podcast too. Amie is a phenomenal writer and you need to go follow her on Instagram. She is so honest, thought-provoking and really honest about what she needs. Amie has written extensively on the topic of burnout and I want you to really take what you can from this episode. Please learn from the experiences that we share today and take a look at how you run your life too.LINKS:Amie’s previous episode on The Confidence ChroniclesFor The Burnt Out Artist https://www.amiemcnee.com/shop/p/for-the-burnt-out-artistFor the Procrastinatorhttps://www.amiemcnee.com/shop/p/we-need-your-art-collectionFor the Perfectionisthttps://www.amiemcnee.com/shop/p/we-need-your-art-collectionThe Journaling Course https://www.amiemcnee.com/journaling-courseWHERE TO FIND ERIKA:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: 👑 Want to request a podcast? The #1 killer of confidence
What you believe about yourself is everything. It shapes how you think, it shapes what you do, it shapes what you believe about the world and the people around you. So what do you think your life is going to be like if you believe you can’t do it, that you’re not good enough, that you’re not worthy or strong enough or smart enough? You will be those things. So if you want to absolutely murder confidence, all you need to do is believe you can’t be confident. This episode is all about quieting the mind and tuning in to the inner voice to find out what you truly, deeply believe. Somewhere deep inside, we all have a knowing that we are greater than what we look like, what we do and what labels we put on ourselves. That small inner voice says you CAN do it, that you are capable of anything your heart desires. It’s time to turn up the inner voice and turn down the inner critic. It’s time to choose what you will believe. Because you get to decide whatever you believe about yourself. YOU get to create whatever the fuck you want.Where To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? The Biggest Realisation I've Ever Had - IGTV
I'm in a huge lesson at the moment and I don't have an answer for you. This episode is for me as much as it's for you. Recently I've come to the realisation that I absolutely do not value rest. In my life, there has been no evidence that rest has been the answer to anything. All through my childhood, I had to work hard to get anything. I had to hustle. I had to bust my ass to get what I needed, and I've taken this mentality into adulthood. So I worked incredibly hard to achieve all the things that I've been able to achieve and this hustle was necessary. We were not in a great position when I started my business. I needed to work hard. But now I don't need to work so hard, and also I'm realising it's not sustainable. My life is so beautiful and I am so fortunate. I just need to remind myself of this more often and take restorative rest. Appreciate where you are right now and take away from it what you can.Where To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Listen to your motherhood intuition
This one is for all the mammas out there and the mammas to be. Even if you don’t have children, you’re going to get something out of this episode because it’s all about tuning in to your own voice and following your intuition. I go into some detail about a recent situation with my son at child care and the interactions we had that told me something was really off. I talk about how I made the call to pull him out and why I’m so fierce about listening to my gut and the sensitivity of my child.Trusting your intuition can only happen if you have confidence in yourself first. We need to lean into our inner voice and be guided by our woman’s intuition because there are so many powerful messages for us to hear.I’m sure a lot of mothers out there will resonate with my message here. Trust yourself.BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Self-sabotage at its finest
Ladies, you are powerful. There is so much you can do, so much you can be. But something I see happen a lot is when people feel like there are so many things they want to do that they never end up picking one. That, my friend, is self sabotage. If you’re floundering in life not knowing what to do, or you’re busy creating a million offers and online courses in your business but never really mastering anything, you’re acting out of self sabotage and this episode is for you. I talk about the problem with having too many things on the go and how it’s actually fear that stops you from really committing to something. I talk about how we hold ourselves back because we’re afraid of choosing the wrong thing but that there is no such thing as the wrong thing. Make a choice. Choose today. What is life showing you? What does your heart say? It’s time to stop listening to fear and time to start backing yourself. Go all in and see where it takes you. Life is for learning but you’ll never experience what life can give until you commit to something and give it your all. Communicating with Confidence with Katrina Blowers
I have such a special treat for you on the podcast today. I’m joined by the incredible Katrina Blowers, an award-winning newsreader on Australia’s Channel 7, a speaker, mentor and host of the Claiming Your Confidence podcast. The media industry might be a lot of smoke and mirrors, but this girl is the real deal and knows what it takes to have true confidence.Well known for her work in the radio and television industry, Katrina also has a passion for teaching people the power of authentic confidence, providing one-on-one coaching to help others tell their own stories. Understanding that we all have a media platform at our disposal, Katrina also runs a workshop empowering young people to master mindful and authentic use of social media. In this episode, Katrina talks about her life growing up knowing exactly what she wanted to do and how she never really thought about confidence until she was going through a divorce and experienced a panic attack on live television. She talks about that experience and how it led her to question everything she thought she knew about confidence.Katrina shares about her journey to recovery following the panic attack, the anxiety that followed and the game-changing discovery of meditation. We talk about not getting swept up in the narrative surrounding our thoughts and how she managed to keep going when her whole world was blowing up.We talk about why so many women struggle with imposter syndrome and don’t believe in the power of their own stories but that every person has something powerful to share. Katrina talks about how she works with other people to build their confidence, that no one has it all together but that we can learn from each other’s experiences.LINKSKatrina’s Website:https://katrinablowers.comInstagram:@katrinablowersKatrina’s Podcast:Claiming Your Confidence PodcastComplete an application for my upcoming SCALE SQUAD MastermindWhere To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast? Don't stop doing the things you love - IGTV
February was a bit crazy for me, and I wasn't feeling great. I felt like I was slipping back into the hecticness that was 2020. I had to assess what I had been doing, and I realised I had stopped doing the things that I need to do to make me feel really good. This is a little IGTV that I did recently. How do you do it all, Erika?
I’m a busy woman and I do a lot but, keeping it real, I need you to know that I don’t do it all. No one does. I get asked a lot about how I do it all and I thought it would be a good topic to talk about because it’s just not true. I don’t do it all. But what I do, I freaking love. I run a global business, I’m a mother, I’m a wife to the man of my dreams, I’m a daughter to my mother who lives in America, I’m a coach to my beautiful clients who need me, I’m a boss to my staff. How could I possibly do all that by myself and not go loco? I don’t! Because I also say no a lot. I manage my time really well, I ask for help and I have teams of people around me that I delegate to. Sometimes people look at everything I do and think that I’m superwoman and never miss a beat, but I’m human ya’ll. I get stressed, I get overwhelmed, I get angry and cry but I’ve learned that it’s not about the fall, it’s about how fast you get back up. And the fire inside me to see the transformation in the people I work with gives me the energy I need to keep going. So this episode is a bit of a behind the scenes of all that I do, how I operate and what I do when I start to feel overwhelmed and stressed. I talk about some practical things I do, about communication and staying in the present moment instead of thinking about a future that isn’t here yet.Listen to the Victim Land Sucks episode hereWhere To Find Erika:BUY MY BOOKInstagram: @thequeenofconfidenceFacebook: @TheconfidencequeenYouTube: The Queen Of ConfidenceLinkedIn: https://au.linkedin.com/in/erika-cramer-ab695571Sistahood Program: https://thequeenofconfidence.com/sistahood/Website: www.thequeenofconfidence.com👑 Want to request a podcast?
