In this episode we chat to Alan Carter, President & CEO of Cabral Gold, a mineral exploration company with a focus on gold and copper with a key asset being the Cuiu Cuiu gold project located in Northern Brazil. Improving the mental health of mining workers may be impossible, but our industry should in no way ever detract from their mental health at any time. It is up to us to ensure that happens, and so improve the nobility of mining. As upper level management, we should seek to hire supervisors and managers who are not simply good miners, but who care about people, and who can provide real leadership as well as empathy. The challenge for larger mining companies, is to retain and encourage a sense of agility instead of becoming complacent.
