They also operate the Nui Phao Mine, in Vietnam. Craig is an experienced mining executive with a finance and commercial background and extensive experience in South East Asia. He talks about the company and how they have transformed Mason High-Tech Material Corporation, over the past few years. As well as what the future holds. Craig shares the important lessons he learned as a graduate at Mt Is with MIM and the importance and value add you get from more personal face-to-face interaction than over Zoom/Teams.   KEY TAKEAWAYS The Nui Phao Mine is one of the most complex mines in the world. It is a polymetallic site with tungsten, fluorspar, copper, bismuth, and a bit of gold. They now produce a range of metal-based products, including  Tungsten powder. Turning the raw metals into the final product opens up a huge list of opportunities, which are discussed in detail, in the episode. Their products are used to build and renew urban infrastructure, renewables, electric vehicles, medicine, and many other industries. When you produce a unique product that is tailor made for your customer, they become wedded to you. Adding recycling to the mix has provided a long list of new opportunities for Masan. Alongside their customers Masan has developed several new approaches to recycling, which he explains during the episode. Masan Resources is positioning itself to be ready for when raw materials like lithium will be in short supply. Sustainability is no longer seen as a cost. Doing it well saves money. Urban mines that recycle urban waste are an important part of the future. Technology has its place, but you can´t beat face to face for building relationships, sharing knowledge, and solving problems. Now we socialise less with colleagues, it is harder to build relationships and mentoring does not happen naturally. BEST MOMENTS ‘It is a polymetallic site with tungsten, fluorspar, copper, bismuth, and a bit of gold.´ ‘The quality of your people is the difference between a poor company, a good company, and a great company.’ ‘When you are adding value to that process, you are adding value to your customers.’ ‘Face-to-face collaboration adds greater value to an organisation than the cost of a flight and accommodation.’   EPISODE RESOURCES Website: https://masanhightechmaterials.com/ LinkedIn: https://vn.linkedin.com/in/craig-bradshaw-8334a125 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/masan-hightech-materials YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/MasanHighTechMaterials/featured Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nuiphaominingcompany   VALUABLE RESOURCES Email: rob@mining-international.org Website: https://www.mining-international.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-tyson/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MiningRobTyson Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theminingpodcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/videos   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Tyson is an established recruiter in the mining and quarrying sector and decided to produce the “Dig Deep” The Mining Podcast to provide valuable and informative content around the mining industry. Why Hard And Fast Exploration Works For Gold in Canada With Terry Harbort

In this episode, we chat with Terry Harbort, President, CEO & Director at Talisker Resources, a junior resource company involved in the exploration of gold projects in British Columbia, Canada. Including the Bralorne Gold Complex and its historical high-grade producing gold mine as well as its Spences Bridge Project. Terry is an experienced campaigner, with a background in structural geology with his experience being across Australia, South America, and Canada. He’s here today to share his journey, provide some useful education around epithermal gold, and tell us about Talisker Resources and the projects they are involved in.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Mining in Canada and Australia is in some ways similar. But the tax structure in Canada makes it far easier to raise capital. The bitcoin and marijuana era had a significant impact on mining capital. Terry explains why in the podcast. Talisker is all about grass-root, early-stage exploration. They do it at scale and assess projects quickly. They take advantage of being the first explorer in an area. Talisker Resources has taken control of 85% of the soon-to-be emerging Spences Bridge gold belt. The area is extremely well connected and has excellent infrastructure. There is a grade range of 7 to 9 grams. The plan is to take it to 100,000 tonnes annually at Bralorne by upgrading the current permit. At Golden Hornet they have found evidence of gold in every one of the fourteen holes they have drilled. Their two other projects in the pipeline are showing promise too. Listen out for Terry's potatoes in a boiling pot analogy, which he uses to explain what they look for during the early stages of exploration.   BEST MOMENTS ‘We see gold exploration, particularly, as a numbers game, a statistical game. ´ ‘We were able to conduct the largest single land stake in British Columbia, in history.’ ‘We are not a company that looks for just one win, then goes to the Bahamas. We are looking at multiple wins, over the next 5 years.’   EPISODE RESOURCES Website: https://taliskerresources.com/ LinkedIn: https://es.linkedin.com/company/talisker-resources Twitter: https://twitter.com/Talisker_Ltd Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TaliskerResources Press Release: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/talisker-resources-announces-high-grade-gold-near-surface-on-the-55hw-vein-301517691.html   VALUABLE RESOURCES Email: rob@mining-international.org Website: https://www.mining-international.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-tyson/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MiningRobTyson Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theminingpodcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/videos   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Tyson is an established recruiter in the mining and quarrying sector and decided to produce the “Dig Deep” The Mining Podcast to provide valuable and informative content around the mining industry. His commodity experience extends to copper, lead, zinc, silver, gold, iron ore, industrial minerals, and rare-earth elements. So, Matt is well placed to take Akobo Minerals forward. He talks to us about the company and mining in Ethiopia with all its potential.    KEY TAKEAWAYS The overall resource size of the Segele project is 68,000 tons at 22 gr/ton, including some bonanza sized deposits. The cash flow should come early in the project. Because the mine is small and underground the ESG is particularly good. They have implemented an ecosystem service system to protect the environment and provide long-term livelihoods for the local community. Ethiopia is a good mining jurisdiction. The current government is incredibly open to inward investment. There are a lot of opportunities for exploration. In 2022, they will have three more rigs up and running.   BEST MOMENTS ‘Norwegian investors are very caring people. ´ ‘the overall resource size is 68,000 tonnes at 22 grams per tonne.’ ‘The area around the Akobo region has the potential to be a world-class mining district.’   EPISODE RESOURCES Website: https://akobominerals.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/akobominerals/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/akobominerals Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/akobominerals Email: info@akobominerals.com   VALUABLE RESOURCES Email: rob@mining-international.org Website: https://www.mining-international.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-tyson/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MiningRobTyson Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theminingpodcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/videos   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Tyson is an established recruiter in the mining and quarrying sector and decided to produce the “Dig Deep” The Mining Podcast to provide valuable and informative content around the mining industry. In this episode, we chat to Andrew Grove, Managing Director, and CEO at Chesser Resources, an ASX listed West African focused gold junior mining company with projects located in Senegal where they have discovered two high-grade gold Projects at its flagship Diamba Sud project in eastern Senegal. Andrew is a geologist by trade and has become a high achieving Mining and Finance Executive with an established track record of achieving results, generating profits, identifying opportunities, managing risk, and developing teams during his career. He discusses the story of Chesser Resources, the results they have achieved and what the future holds for them.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Chesser Resources has been operating successfully since 2007. Some significant gold geochemical anomalies have been identified across a 15km area. In Diamba Sud, they have made high-grade finds. The resources 780,000 ounces have attributes that show economic mining will be viable. The scoping study revealed the potential for rapid payback with production expected to be 100,000 ounces per year. The whole area has had little historic drilling. Initial results from drilling are very promising. Senegal is one of the most stable democracies in West Africa and mining is well supported. An emerging discovery has been declared at KB West, three miles east and on the same structure that feeds Chesser´s resource. Chesser is well funded. Andrew shares details in the podcast. BEST MOMENTS ‘Senegal is a great investment jurisdiction. ´ ‘This whole area has only had proper drilling for three years and it is delivering a lot.’ ‘With the existing balance sheet that gives us quite a war chest to go and aggressively pursue drilling.’   EPISODE RESOURCES Website: https://www.chesserresources.com.au Twitter: https://twitter.com/chesser Contact: https://www.chesserresources.com.au/contact/   VALUABLE RESOURCES Email: rob@mining-international.org Website: https://www.mining-international.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-tyson/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MiningRobTyson Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theminingpodcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/videos   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Tyson is an established recruiter in the mining and quarrying sector and decided to produce the “Dig Deep” The Mining Podcast to provide valuable and informative content around the mining industry. They own 100% of Cordero Silver, royalty-free. It is a tier-one project. Based on the preliminary economic assessment coordinator, it would rank among the largest producing and highest cash flow silver assets. The total resource size is over one billion ounces of silver equivalent. The location is very mining friendly. Permitting is fast. Discovery Silver has won several investment-related awards. Their projected market value is likely to be three times what it is now. Their cash flow and balance are both exceptionally good and warrants and options mean they will remain so. A shortage of skilled labour is a potential issue, but they are working to improve that situation. BEST MOMENTS ‘The combination this asset (Cordero) has, its margin size and scalability, makes it a clear tier-one asset. ´ ‘Mexico is the number one silver producing nation in the world. We are in one of the best places to do business.’ ‘Discovery Silver has won several awards over the past couple of years.’ ‘We have no debt on the balance sheet.’   EPISODE RESOURCES Website: https://discoverysilver.com/ LinkedIn: https://linkedin.com/company/discovery-metals-corp Twitter: https://twitter.com/DiscoverySilver   VALUABLE RESOURCES Email: rob@mining-international.org Website: https://www.mining-international.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-tyson/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MiningRobTyson Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theminingpodcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/videos   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Tyson is an established recruiter in the mining and quarrying sector and decided to produce the “Dig Deep” The Mining Podcast to provide valuable and informative content around the mining industry. Lessons Learned During a 30 Year Mining Career With Steve Letwin Chairman of Cassiar Gold

In this episode, we chat to Steve Letwin, Chairman of Cassiar Gold, a Canadian exploration company focused on the exploration of its two gold projects in British Columbia — the Cassiar Gold and the Sheep Creek Gold projects. Steve brings over 30 years of experience from the resource sector, where he specialises in corporate finance, operational management, and merger and acquisitions, including 10 years as President and CEO of IAMGOLD. He talks about his career, lessons he learned, and the importance of NPV within a mining company and discusses his exciting new project with Cassiar Gold.   KEY TAKEAWAYS Having a strong team on the ground and listening to them is vital. It makes the impossible possible. Hire locally and help the community to build the skills they need to continue to prosper even if the mine closes. You can't do it all. Get the right people in the right slots. Then, empower and equip them. Show your shareholders a path to success to maximise your share value. Cassier Gold has just over a million ounces, which are economically recoverable and of high value. There is already infrastructure, water, and power, from past mining activity, on-site. The relationship with the community is excellent. When it is easy to raise cash, raise as much as you can. Poor cash flow kills profitable companies. Gold has a huge future. The dollar as a haven is coming under pressure. Other reasons for gold´s strength are discussed in the episode. Invest in companies that can replace depletion.  Junior CEOs always overestimate their honeymoon period. If you don't demonstrate progress, investors will leave. BEST MOMENTS ‘If you give people the opportunity to succeed, they will perform. ´ ‘Never lose control of the balance sheet and get into the position where you have to give the company away.’ ‘I see a very, very robust future for commodities.’   EPISODE RESOURCES Website: https://cassiargold.com/ Shirley Antony Cassiar Gold LinkedIn: https://ca.linkedin.com/in/shirley-anthony-5a93348 Shirley Antony Cassiar Gold Email: shirley@cassiargold.com   VALUABLE RESOURCES Email: rob@mining-international.org Website: https://www.mining-international.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-tyson/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MiningRobTyson Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theminingpodcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/videos   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Tyson is an established recruiter in the mining and quarrying sector and decided to produce the “Dig Deep” The Mining Podcast to provide valuable and informative content around the mining industry. Drilling in Central Finland With Mitch Vanderydt

In this episode, we chat with Mitch Vanderydt, CEO of NorthGold AB. A Swedish-listed gold exploration and development company with resource-stage projects in Finland Mitch has a background in geotechnical engineering and metals and mining research. He has stepped into a CEO role recently and talks about NorthGold AB and what it’s like mining in Finland. A jurisdiction that has been ranked 3rd highest in the world by the Fraser Institute. KEY TAKEAWAYS North Gold´s assets are in central Finland which is a relatively under-explored area. Around half of the 4 million euros raised during their recent IPO will be spent on core drilling. North Gold has a broad and experienced team in place. They are an advanced stage explorer with 725,000 ounces of gold equivalent resources. There is also some copper. Finland is a mining-friendly country, for the most part. It takes a while to get a mine up and running in Finland. But from that point on things go smoothly. NorthGold is commencing drilling in May 2022. IP surveys at both sites will be completed during 2022. In 2023, they are planning to drill another 5,000 meters. BEST MOMENTS ‘Our goal is to grow our resources, hopefully, make discoveries …it’s the best way to get share price appreciation. ´ ‘We try to keep a lean team to minimize our GNA costs.’ ‘We think Finland is a great place to do business.’   EPISODE RESOURCES LinkedIn North Gold: https://www.linkedin.com/company/northgold/ LinkedIn Mitch Vanderydt: https://www.linkedin.com/in/mitch-vanderydt-41551022   VALUABLE RESOURCES Email: rob@mining-international.org Website: https://www.mining-international.org/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rob-tyson/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/MiningRobTyson Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theminingpodcast/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/DigDeepTheMiningPodcast/videos   ABOUT THE HOST Rob Tyson is an established recruiter in the mining and quarrying sector and decided to produce the “Dig Deep” The Mining Podcast to provide valuable and informative content around the mining industry.
