42. Feasting vs. Fasting: Dangers of Undereating on Carnivore, Keto and Low Carb High Fat
One of the biggest benefits gained when going high fat, low carb, keto and carnivore is the regulation of glucose and insulin. What does this look like? You no longer feel those afternoon dips in energy. You have even moods, consistent energy and most of all, you don't feel ravenously HANGRY. Yes, for the first time you don't feel hungry and we leverage that benefit to then eat less. MUCH less. Oftentimes too much less. But there are adverse health effects that come with undereating. In this video I talk about some of the dangers of undereating and how our bodies will prioritize the mechanisms to keep the lights on for another day. I also talk about how we can increase our metabolic resting rate and still lose weight.
