How To Boost Your Productivity & Beat Distractions
Above anything else, time is often the number one challenge we face as business owners.
Which is kind of ironic, because for so many of us, the very reason we started our business was to have more flexibility with our time, to be in control of our time, and ultimately have MORE time for the things we love.
But in reality?
We’re feeling stuck and pretty overwhelmed in trying to grow our business, and there just doesn’t seem enough time to get everything we want to do done.
We can’t figure out what to focus on, we move between different projects and tasks, and by the end of the day, when we feel as though we have run out of time AGAIN, and been so busy, there realistically hasn’t been a whole lot of progress made with our business.
So what do we do?
How can we be more productive with our time? How can we cut out the distractions that are eating into the limited time we have? And how can we move faster - and more focussed - towards our goals?
Well, that’s what this episode is all about!

Choosing A Perfect Topic For Your Membership
In last week’s episode, we explored why creating a profitable online membership is the most powerful way to scale your time, impact and income and create predictable, recurring profit each month. And I loved hearing your ideas for your own membership - from public relations, to French language, dog grooming, Pilates teachers and more.
And today, we’re going to nail your membership topic.
We’ll discover:
The key elements that make up a great membership topic
Examples of some very niche memberships to help when it comes to choosing yours
Topics I wouldn’t recommend creating a membership around
Plus the traps that despite your best intentions could get in your way of you creating your membership.
This episode is brought to you by my new program Scalable, where I’ll teach you how to plan, create and launch an online membership in six weeks - sharing what I learnt (and what I did wrong) taking my membership to a six figure revenue stream in my business. Scalable is now open for enrolment with a special launch-only price available only until February 2nd.
I’m also running special free online masterclasses this week and next where I’ll take you through The 3 Essential Steps to Launch a Profitable Online Membership. So click here to register your place.

Should You Create An Online Membership?
Did you know that acquiring a new customer is anywhere from five to 25 times more expensive than retaining an existing one, according to the Harvard Business Review?
And it makes sense: you don’t have to spend time and resources to constantly attract new clients: instead you get to focus on keeping your existing clients happy.
So what would it look like if 97% of your clients paid you again next month?
This is the business I have created with my online membership.
About 18 months ago, I was only offering one to one services. I really had no idea or experience in the online business world.
But I knew the way I was working wasn’t making me happy. I wanted to work with more people, but my time was capped out. I also wanted freedom to work when I wanted to, to work from where I wanted, and for most of my time to be spent teaching and supporting. And of course, I wanted to grow my revenue too without needing to put in more hours.
Within a year, I grew my membership to a six figure income stream in my business, and have the freedom to work from where I want to, when I want to AND really love the work I do.
In this episode we are going to look at if an online membership could be a great fit for you, and what questions you need to ask yourself to find out.
We cover:
What an online membership is exactly
Why you might want to launch one
What the benefits are
What the different is between a membership and a course
The beauty of recurring payments
Three measures to know if running a membership is for you.
This episode is brought to you by my new online program, Scalable, where I’ll teach you how to map out, create, launch and sell your first online membership. Go to www.emilyosmond.com/scalable to enrol.

Knowing Our Body to Better Our Business with Jema Lee
Let’s start with some honesty here.
How many things do you do at the EXPENSE of your health?
What do you prioritise AHEAD of your health?
How often do you find yourself saying, "I just need to get this done"... "this project finished"... "this quote out"... and THEN I’ll focus on my health, on getting fit, or eating well?
What if instead, we understood more about how our bodies work? And what if our bodies could actually HELP us be better, achieve more and thrive more in our day to day and in our business?
In today’s episode, I’m joined by Jema Lee of www.wellsome.com and @wellsome_jemalee on Instagram.
Jema is a women’s cycle health educator whose work helps to reconnect women with their bodies and find their unique flow.
In our discussion we cover:
The what, why and how of cycle tracking
How shifts and changes to our nutrition and physical movement through our cycle can support us
How Ancestral and Ayurveda health can be applied to hustles and entrepreneurs
And lots more!

Grow your Profits with Melanie Miller
I’m the first to admit that I used to avoid the numbers side of business. I could feel quite anxious about it. I mean I was always the humanities girl and never the maths student. Which of course, I now know, was just an excuse (I wonder if you have a few of those too?!).
I avoided looking too much at my numbers and hoped, somehow, it would all work out.
Until I realised I needed to get serious about my business if I wanted to meet my goals, which meant taking my finances seriously too.
In this episode, we have the brilliant Melanie Miller who specialises in dishing up the hard, unsexy truths of business to women.
You’ll hear the event that happened in Melanie’s life that strengthened her resolve to help more women get in control of their finances, and create, as she calls it, Profitable, Liveable and Loveable businesses both off and online.
Today Melanie has a thriving online business, called Profit Lovers, a community of more than 8000 female entrepreneurs and is living nicely in what she calls her business "sweet spot".
So, let’s bring on Melanie Miller to share how we can create more profit in our business - I know you’re going to love this episode!

My 2019 Year in Review
Welcome to this episode, which is my 2019 Year in Review. I know that I love listening to this style content content from other people. So it was something that I wanted to record for you. But it's a little bit nerve wracking because it's pulling back the curtain into sharing what's going on in my business, what happened this year, what I learnt and what I want to do better at.
I cover my first year of running an online program, how much I invested in Professional Development and my approach to it, what beliefs I needed to change when running my retreat, starting this podcast and guest speaking, what a major highlight of this year had been, how my team has changed and grown over the past 12 months, what I invested in when it came to my personal life and what I want to do better at in 2020.
I hope you take something out of this episode that’s helpful for your business too. So let's get stuck in!

Behind the Business with Bridget Murphy
Today I’m introducing you to someone I have loved getting to know over the past couple of years and who has so much to share for others who are starting their business: she is Bridget Murphy.
I met Bridget a couple of years ago during a strategy session together, and since then, Bridget and I have been working together inside my online program, The Modern Marketing Collective, where I have absolutely loved seeing her build her confidence and direction with her marketing and really play a bigger game with her business.
Bridget Murphy is a Certified Holistic Health Coach and meditation teacher who grew up in country Victoria and is now based in Melbourne. She specialises in helping women avoid and overcome burnout, pulling from her own experience, which you’ll hear a little about today.
In this episode, we step through what the first 18 months in business have looked like for Bridget, the lessons learnt, the momentum built, and how Bridget has got to her biggest months in business and beyond.
So go to emilyosmond.com/waitlist to be notified when we next open for enrolment to The Modern Marketing Collective and without further ado, let’s bring on Bridget Murphy...
