96: Sexuality vs Sensuality
Sexuality + Sensuality...are they the same thing? It sure seems like it by the way the media interchanges these two terms, and yet the differentiation of the two are incredibly important for the relationship we have to pleasure + our bodies. As a result of our cultural messages + images we see in the media, our bodies have become sexualized. And while sexuality is an important part of our being human, it’s also important to develop a platonic relationship with our body. Sensuality helps us to create this.
In this episode you will hear:
The difference between sensuality + sexuality + why this is important
How you can tap into greater pleasure potential in everyday, mundane activities
How to cultivate the skill of desire to answer your challenges around “What do you want?”
How adding sensuality to your sexuality can expand your skills + enjoyment of your eroticism with yourself or a partner
How sexual arousal can be activated when practicing sensuality
The benefits to living a sensual lifestyle
Why we struggle with maintaining a sensual lifestyle
My foundational tool for living a more expanded sensual + sexual life
