Is This The WORST Human Trait? Do You do this? [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Rob discusses what one of the worst human traits to have is and we’ve probably all experienced this at some point and perhaps, you’re even guilty of doing it too? Or maybe you have been on the receiving end of it? Listen in today to find out what this trait is and how to overcome it and what you can learn from failure, struggles, pain and purpose. KEY TAKEAWAYS One of the worst traits somebody could have is the joy they feel when seeing somebody fail. It is believed that the more successful somebody is the less joy they feel when seeing somebody fail. It is a human trait to feel pleasure from somebody's failure at one point in your life. When you may be struggling the most or when you are at your least successful, feeling satisfaction when others around you are failing may occur. This may make you feel less weak and less vulnerable and better about your own situation. If you are busy focusing on yourself and busy on your own mission, you probably won’t have time to focus on the success or failure of those around you. One reason not to judge others and feel satisfaction from other people's failure and pain is that nobody is perfect in personification. Some people do not have the perception and mindset that everybody is just trying to do the best that they can. BEST MOMENTS “Why do so many people get pleasure out of other people's pain and misery?” “The more somebody is on a mission the less pleasure they get if other people are struggling” “If it is balanced, it is good to be challenged” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Q&A on Building a Brand, Entrepreneur Hacks & How to Scale a Business [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
In celebration of the launch of the new Facebook ‘Stars Feature’ Rob allows his followers to ask the burning questions they want answers to and helps them discover the ways in which they can grow and scale their business. Rob has been handpicked by Facebook and one of only 20 people in the world to be able to use this brand new Facebook supporters feature, so don’t miss out on this exclusive content! KEY TAKEAWAYS To build your personal brand you will need to ensure you are on all social media platforms. Linked in is great for business as it doesn’t restrict its reach only to your followers. Start recording podcasts in your field and commit to creating more content. The slow but deeper way to grow your following is to do it organically with a lot of original and consistent content. The quicker route may not gain you a loyal following. Doing lives on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram will get your name out into the industries of which you desire. If you are looking to become a public speaker, start by giving speeches for a small number of people and gradually increase these numbers. Courses on public speaking are available with Progressive, to help perfect public speaking. Local networking events are a great place to start doing small pitches. To scale your business the number one starting point is by increasing your output of marketing tools. Secondly, you need to hire more people in the sales and marketing teams, this is vital for scaling. Another way is to work on the business, not in the business as well as building your own personal brand to gain more reach for you and the business. Improve your product and service to encourage more sales and increase the gratitude of your customers which will allow them to refer people to your product, encouraging real-life testimonials. Study your competition intensely and work out what they are doing and the things they are doing well or not so well. Make sure you and your business improve upon any shortfalls you see in your competition's product or service. Study other industries that are not the same as your niche because this could allow you to hybridise and create unique products and services in your own space by watching what other people do. It is not copying, it is modelling and you can add your own flavour into the new product to create more of a hybrid model. You want to leverage Facebook groups, there are a lot of consumers in Facebook groups that you are likely not a member of as well as using LinkedIn more as the reach is not restricted allowing you to potentially reach millions of people organically. BEST MOMENTS “Speaking might sound easy and natural to those that are good at it, but actually it is not that easy to sound relaxed and calm, it takes practice” “ There’s no cost in marketing when getting referrals and recommendations. It is the lowest cost marketing but highest quality of lead” “If you copy what mentors and smart people have done you will get better results than not knowing what to do and doing it yourself, but it is good to be original and unique.” “When it comes to scaling up you need to leverage yourself” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Struggling in The Lockdown? These 3 Things Should Help [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Discover Rob’s three top tips for surviving and thriving in lockdown. At this point, you may have experienced some wobbly days during isolation, well say goodbye to those days by listening to today's episode and learning how to stay sane, how to plan, how to structure and how to grow during the pandemic. KEY TAKEAWAYS Everyone may be going through some ups and downs during this isolation period. The most important thing to remember is that you are not alone. Even if you feel alone, you are not. You need to talk to people much more than you might normally do. Since you are not having that physical connection with people, it is important to connect virtually to your peers, business associates, and friends. Find out how they view the situation, make light of the situation and check in on people. It is important to have a plan through this lockdown, however, you should take this one day at a time. The smart and healthy thing to do is to make a 90-day plan, and then take it one day at a time. Many people are not used to being at home, therefore structuring your day is essential. If you have been put on furlough you may not have the accountability of your daily tasks as you did before, you have all this extra time and this may be frustrating. Having a structure for your day will help you achieve your results, whether that be in business, homeschooling or exercise goals. BEST MOMENTS “Everyone I have spoken to is having their own wobbly journey, some people are literally on their own” “Some people are being really creative through this lockdown” “When you have a plan, it stops you going into doomsday mode” “Discipline will equal freedom” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Robin Sharma: The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Rob is joined by bestselling Canadian author Robin Sharma most famous for his books ‘The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari and The 5 am Club’ Together they discuss and share publishing advice, Spiritual advice and how and why personal growth is essential to success. KEY TAKEAWAYS It is essential that we enjoy the world but not be of the world, a lot of people are making a lot of money but losing their soul in the process and that is a very empty victory. The publishing environment has changed a lot, but by self-publishing a book you can get it to market very quickly and with all of the technology available you can create a self-published book that looks just as good as a professionally published version, and the process is a lot quicker. Fear is a human emotion just like guilt. All entrepreneurs face fear, and we all face guilt, anger, and shame. We all face fear but fear lives in the place where your growth lies. What the best leaders do is they visit the places that terrify them. There’s too much greed, too much unkindness, too much selfishness, too much entitlement, too much addiction to distraction. You have to be practical as an entrepreneur. Being disruptive is seeing what everybody else is doing and then getting to a place where you can develop the fearlessness to test your own voice. If you look at the great masters, these are all people that said here’s what everyone else is doing but I don’t think that’s right. The real question is, do we follow our relative urges to please or do we follow them because that’s the most authentic thing we can do to celebrate our primal genius. The journey of an entrepreneur is not an easy one, it’s the journey of growth you need to go right into your fears, feel it and experience the fear. BEST MOMENTS “We live in a world where there is a lot of sheep vs people. In the age of social media there have become too many people called cyber zombies, they are not thinking for themselves” “Great entrepreneurs are continuers, they face the rock-throwing of the jealous critics they face self-doubt, they face being misunderstood, they face frustration and they continue because their heroic mission is larger than the chattering voices of their fears and that is just a reality” “They ridicule every great visionary before they revere them” “If you can live your life in a way that even if no one understands s you, you do what’s right for you, then amazing things happen” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. The Great Big Opportunity Right Now [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Now is the time for accelerated immersion. We’ve all been a 90-day opportunity to focus our time, to learn and grow, to start new ventures and to launch new products and learn new skills and it is a massive gift, so how are you using your time in isolation? We no longer have the excuse of time, our world is being disrupted and it’s time for you to disrupt your industry, get productive and grow your business. KEY TAKEAWAYS When people want to start or scale their business, their excuse is always that they don’t have time. But now we have a golden opportunity, you should be relentless, resilient and productive in your approach to launching new products and scale your business. Before the lockdown and before we were in this situation imagine if you could pause the world for 90-days. Imagine if you had the time to read the books you put on the shelf, listen to the podcasts you want to listen to and educate yourself and focus yourself on your new business venture. Right now is probably the first time in our life that all of our excuses do not matter and it creates an opportunity for us all to learn, grow and accelerate our educational immersion. There will be two types of people that look back on this 90-day opportunity. Those that do nothing and hope the world goes back to normal and those that double down on content out and in, leverage the increased activity on social media and those that create and launch new product and services. Social media is more active than it’s ever been so how are you leveraging it? People are searching more, engaging more and buying more. So what products and services in your business can you launch online? BEST MOMENTS “We have been given a golden opportunity” “Social media more active than it’s ever been” “You’ve never been able to put the world on pause and accelerate your immersion.” “Mother nature has given you an opportunity, are you going to take it?” “The world is on pause for X amount of days it time to educate yourself, build your brand and grow your business” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Caffeine Cast: School Closure Opportunity & Kids Content from me (coronavirus) [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Teaching your children how to manage money and how to start, grow and scale a business are essential skills and Rob will be providing exclusive new children’s content to keep kids in isolation learning from home. This new content will be available 2-3 times a week and is aimed at children, and keeping them productive during isolation as well as teaching them life-changing entrepreneurial skills they may not receive in school. KEY TAKEAWAYS Many people agree that schools are vital in educating children as well as teaching them valuable life skills. However, it can be argued that there is a gap in schooling when it comes to learning about running businesses, managing money and budgeting. It is a great time for your children to start sharing their content on popular social media sites such as TikTok or YouTube. Make their screen time productive. The content will be available on the supporter’s programme, all content will be live and then recorded and this content will be specifically designed for encouraging your children aged 5-18. If you want to raise your kids to have their own business, manage their own time and become content creators, then this content is really helpful and will encourage them to be productive, creative and learn valuable life skills. BEST MOMENTS “This is a worrying time for parents, how are you going to keep them occupied and entertained” “Different content on how to be entrepreneurial, productive and creative” “How to traverse this difficult time, but as a child” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. RANT: PLEASE, Stop Watching the News [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Listening to the news can be damaging to our mindsets and ultimately our success. Listen today to find out how you can free your mind of negativity, overcome the current climate and stay focused on your journey to entrepreneurial success. KEY TAKEAWAYS Everybody who watches the news thinks they know everything about current world topics such as the world pandemic Coronavirus or Brexit. The reality is we do not know what we are being fed. The media’s main goal is to sell their media and they do this through fear and panic. You need to ask yourself the question, reading all these negative and dark news stories, How does that serve you? What benefits are you getting from it? The biggest cancer to your success is the fear, the noise and the panic in your mind. The media triggers all the fear emotions in us all and as a result, we are getting a constant stress release, which is damaging to your health, wealth, progress, success and happiness. If you need an update on the world news you can ask someone who is credible and neutral which saves hours of stress, cortisol and negativity. Replace the newspapers with solutions, strategies, mentors, books and planning your future success. Find out what benefits you get from reading the news, and replace it.If you feel like you are getting education via the news, replace this with more accurate sources. If it is a habit, change the habit or routine. The biggest liberator of time is your mind space, the biggest consumption of time is mind space, the biggest cause of stress is mind space and he biggest liberator of freedom is mind space, so it is what our mind is full wit. Is your mind full of positivity and growth? Or is your mind full of negativity and destruction? BEST MOMENTS “The best way to sell that is through fear” “Free advice is worth every penny” “When you empty your mind ideas come to you” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Phil Spencer: Property Guru & Location Location Location Host [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors]
Have you ever seen Location, Location, Location? Well, in today’s episode Rob interviews property expert, media personality and co-host, Phil Spencer. Phil dives into his 20-year TV career with behind-the-scenes insights and property lessons that apply to everyone. Rob gets Phil’s professional opinion on all things property, his predictions for the next recession and what it’s like to be a TV presenter, author and journalist. KEY TAKEAWAYS Q.What are some of the things that have kept you and your programme relevant for 20 years? A.One of the fun things is that we don’t know what is going to happen, you have to roll with the punches, you have to move with the times and our advice is market-led, we give advice tailored to the conditions at the time. Q.How do you maintain the love for your profession? A.That is easy, I have done it on television for 20 years but I have done it in real life for 26 years. It still gives me a real buzz to meet someone, sit them down and tell you of their dream property, to be in a position where you can influence and lead that and then to be able to find it, that in itself is a huge buzz and I will never get bored of that. Q.What was your funniest moment whilst filming for Location, Location, Location? A.The funniest moment I can recall has never been transmitted. It was whilst filming the pilot during a discussion about what the programme should be called. It was originally to be called “The great house hunt” however we soon changed it when we realised that any title with the word hunt, is likely to go wrong when said live. Q.Many people are predicting a recession. What would you say to people trying to get into property at this time? A.On the one hand, the availability of good credit has never been easier so why not fill your boots? However on the other hand, I do not feel that yields are that exciting at the moment. We have got a housing shortage, added with the societal changes, long term demand is only going to rise and therefore demand will increase. You have an increase of people who want to rent, but because of the tax changes in investors, that means less investor-owned properties and less for tenants to rent from. Q.What is the best advice you have ever received? A.My dad said to me that “an awful lot can go wrong in the world if you own the roof over your head” meaning that bad things may happen, but only to a certain degree if you own the roof over your head. Concentrate on that. Q.What does the word disruptive mean to you? A.I think it's about somebody who thinks about things in a different way. Someone with an independent mindset and is prepared to do something about it. See things in a different way, don’t follow the herd. BEST MOMENTS “We work damn hard at getting results” “Seeing that you have delivered on their dream..” “You have got to take some risks, take some gambles, work hard and find your angle and move with the times” “We need a bit of time to ourselves to look after the mind and the body” [Business, mindset, entrepreneur, disruptors] VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks rob.team ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator.
