A Positive & Conscious Mindset for Life & Love

I recently had the privilege of interviewing national mindfulness coach, podcast host and certified trauma and addiction professional Riane Milne and our chat was eye opening on many levels. How often do we get stuck in our current patterns based on where we have been in the past?  Our past experiences largely shape our mindset and beliefs and can either be a teacher to us, or hold us back. We teach that your past is a neutral circumstance--meaning we can’t do anything about it--it has already happened.  What we do have COMPLETE control over is HOW we move forward--often that means understanding the thought patterns and beliefs that come from HOW we have lived.Listen in to my candid conversation with Riane as she drops MANY nuggets of how we can put our past behind us and move forward towards a positive mindset for love, success and the BEST version of ourselves.  Listen in for the ‘7 D’s’ as a path forward.GUEST LINKS:https://rianamilne.com/Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/CoachRianaMilnePodcast:  https://www.LessonsinLifeandLove.comSHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS:www.cufitness.comJoin my signature online 6 step Fit Life system Program:https://cufitness.thinkific.com/courses/functional-fitness-live-for-you-july-2020Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community:  LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats!  www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram:  @fitstylegalTwitter:  @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Fitness Talk for 50

Ever wonder about which supplements and products are worth investing in?I get asked all the time questions like ‘what should I buy at WholeFoods’ or ‘Which vitamins are the best? And the truth is that a lot of what is on the market is not worth the packaging it comes in.We want quick fixes as a society--and if we think something will be too hard or too lengthy to do, we want an easier way. There is no fast track to success for us--especially when it comes to our fitness and our self care--and the BASICS are what work--that is why they are called the BASICS.This episode is some insight into WHAT actually works--and what doesn’t. Tune in for my chat with national expert and reviewer of all supplements, and owner of SupplmentClarity.com--Joe Cannon--for ‘Fitness talk over 50’.  Even if you are not getting older (yet)--this chat is a good one.GUEST LINKS:Joe Cannon’s website: www.Joe-Cannon.comOwner of www.SupplementClarity.comSHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS:www.cufitness.comOpt in for my FREE FIT LIFE MASTER CLASS:  https://cufitnessretreats.com/fit-life-masterclass-july-2020/Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community:  LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats!  www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram:  @fitstylegalTwitter:  @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

The Fit Life Can Save Your Life

Since #covid19 became part of all our lives 3-3.5 months ago, there has been INFINITE talk about safety and protection in the battle against disease and illness.Very little of this discussion has centered around our front line of defense--our immune system. And probably the BEST WAY to help strengthen your immune system is a daily regimen of functional activity, energy eating and developing skills to help you manage your mindset.Moving our bodies helps us produce hormones that help TURN UP how white blood cells fight off disease in addition to helping our stress hormones work WITH us, rather than against us.Activity and a strategy for energy eating helps our bodies flush out toxins, which can weaken how we respond to fighting disease AND what makes us anxious as a result.Functional day to day activity helps our bodies make more antibodies, which help us to FUNCTION better in our day to day lives in general.  As a fitness professional for the last 30 years, I am on a mission to help change the perception of not just WHY a FIT LIFE is critical for change, but HOW it can literally SAVE your life. It’s the best defense we have.SHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS:www.cufitness.comOpt in for my FREE FIT LIFE MASTER CLASS:  https://cufitnessretreats.com/fit-life-masterclass-july-2020/Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community:  LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats!  www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram:  @fitstylegalTwitter:  @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Fit is Freedom

Having the Freedom to live, move, and do all you want is an amazing gift.  Our bodies were created to move.  And no matter how old we are, or what our circumstances are--having the freedom we want is ALWAYS available to us.I'm joined in this episode by Kelly Howard, of Fit is Freedom. Kelly calls herself a ‘Possibilities, Motivation and Adventure Coach’ because setting a goal or outcome for yourself IS about what is possible. When we allow ourselves to be motivated by what is possible we CAN make it an adventure that is life changing.Tune in for our conversation and how you can come away with an idea of what ‘Living Well’ really means. Hint: it’s not about what you can BUY.  It’s about what you can DO.GUEST LINKS:Kelly’s social media links:  https://www.facebook.com/FITisFREEDOMNow/Website:  https://fitisfreedom.com/SHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKSwww.cufitness.comJoin our next FREE FIT MASTER CLASS:  https://cufitnessretreats.com/fit-life-masterclass-july-2020/Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community:  LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats!  www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram:  @fitstylegalTwitter:  @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

One Day at a Time

This episode is a chat with a close friend of mine--she is also a fellow fitness professional--but our chat today centers more around her personal journey--of navigating her time for herself. As the ones to help others lead a healthier and better life for themselves, it is important we always be to examine what we do ourselves each day. One day at at time, is the mantra my colleague Peach Meek says. Listen in to this one.  GUEST LINKS:Peach's social media links:  https://www.facebook.com/PeachMeekSHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS:www.cufitness.comJoin our next FREE FIT MASTER CLASS: https://cufitnessretreats.com/fit-life-masterclass-july-2020/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community: LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats! www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram: @fitstylegalTwitter: @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

A Practice of Daily Gratitude

This episode is a real gem--and it’s a closer look at how gratitude can help us find joy and peace in times of anxiety, stress, and overwhelm. This conversation is with a fellow coach--and ‘recovering attorney’ Heather Moulder. Self care means different things to different people--and Heather’s story is different--mainly because she explains what she had to change in her own life to be in alignment with how she delivers her message.Gratitude is something we all KNOW we need to do but we all have different experiences with it and how we do it.  Heather shares with us a simple daily process of how to apply the practice which can align directly to helping us separate the negativity and anxiety from what we actually want. Give it a listen!GUEST LINKS:https://coursecorrectioncoaching.comSHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS:www.cufitness.comFacebook:  https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community:  LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats!  www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram:  @fitstylegalTwitter:  @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Pandemic Lessons from a Fellow Fitness Coach

Do you ever wonder how fitness pros look after themselves? You may think we workout all day and never have trouble scheduling our own time--but it’s a constant reminder for us that we must practice what we preach. And like you have most likely struggled too--during this pandemic it has forced us as a profession to re work how we do us too.I always like having conversations with others--we often find ourselves inspired by what works for others and too--what hasn’t worked for them. Listen in on my conversation with my long time friend and now colleague Felicia Baxter about how she handles work life, and being a single parent.GUEST LINKS:Felicia’s email:  fbaxterfitnesscoach@gmail.comIG:  fbfitmomSHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS:www.cufitness.comFacebook:  https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community:  LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats!  www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram:  @fitstylegalTwitter:  @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Come to Your Senses for Self-Care

This episode is a closer look at the 5 senses, and 5 more senses that can challenge us to evaluate how we do self care. When you ‘come to your senses’ you may think of using your rational brain and THINK through things--but when it comes to our self care, that’s the last thing we should do sometimes. Our senses allow us to gather information and feedback about our bodies--this can help us unwind, disconnect, and gain clarity on HOW to do us. Listen and learn about how to use the senses FOR your self care.SHOW WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS:www.cufitness.comFacebook:  https://www.facebook.com/alison.h.katschkowsky?ref=bookmarksJoin my Facebook Community:  LIving your Ultimate Life through Fitness and Self Carehttps://www.facebook.com/groups/743439322342659/Check out our retreats!  www.cufitnessretreats.comInstagram:  @fitstylegalTwitter:  @ahkats See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
