Nutritional Keystones - Ep. 129

Send us a textHow do we structure a healthy lifestyle that is easy to attain? What are the 3 things you can focus on TODAY in order to create this healthy lifestyle? Sometimes we pay too much attention to things that don’t really matter. When it comes to nutrition and fitness, it is way easier to focus on a few variables that make a huge difference than to focus on a lot of things that create little change.  In this episode of the Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade discusses the importance of having ‘keystones’ (aka: ‘big rocks’) to create effective changes in your nutrition and overall lifestyle. Building out your list of the 3 things to check on a daily basis is enough to achieve results – whatever the results might be for you. As Dr. Jade points out: the key to achieving a goal is not doing more of everything, it’s doing more of what you need to do the most. Tune in! Check out the Next Level Human sponsors! The Four Existential Crises – Ep. 128

Send us a textDealing with life events and other human beings along the way really makes us face four critical concerns: freedom, loneliness, meaninglessness, and death. In a way, freedom can be a primal cause for anxiety; loneliness is the natural state in which everyone is born with; meaninglessness is what every individual wants to – or should – avoid by living a purposeful life, and death is the ultimate event that makes us want to leave a legacy. In this episode of the Next Level Human Podcast, Dr. Jade analyzes these four existential crises, how each one of them influences our actions, and how they would eventually modify our existence – for better or for worse – if we take the time to consider and think about each one of them. Managing these crises is a skill that must be strengthened with time, but it’s one more step towards becoming a next level human.  Check out the Next Level Human sponsors! On Metaphysics and Magic with Candy Irven - Ep. 126

Send us a textWe, as humans, are energetic beings: we can feel other people’s energy, we can sense energy emanating from certain environments, we can step into a different type of energy if we feel the need to, and we can manifest all kinds of energies for our life – even without realizing it. We are also receivers of the universe’s energy and it’s our job to learn how to interpret it, convert it into our own inner guide, and fully take advantage of this unseen power. In this episode of the Next Level Human podcast, Dr. Jade sits down with Candy Irven of itsyouguru.com.com, Intuitive Coach, to give you a complete discussion about metaphysics, magic, and all the tools connected to these topics such as astrology, numerology, and cardology. Candy talks about the power of the universe, or higher self, and how it is always trying to talk to you and handle your hidden messages. Candy also explains everything about her work as a coach and how you can start applying these lessons to your learning and self-development journey. Check out the Next Level Human sponsors! Covid Update: Science, Vaccine and Variants - Ep. 125

Send us a textMore than one and a half years have passed since the world began facing a contagious and unknown virus; not only affecting people’s health conditions, but also people’s opinions on several matters. The debate now is about pros and cons of taking the vaccine or not taking the vaccine for this virus. While part of society trusts in science and looks only at the data, the other half believes that being immune goes way beyond simply taking a vaccine shot. In this episode of the Next Level Human podcast, Dr. Jade gives you a complete overview on the current situation of COVID in the world, how the new variants can be taken into account, what science has to show in terms of data, and why the debate on pro-vax versus anti-vax is so polarized right now. Dr. Jade also explains that every decision comes with consequences, and whether you are on one side of the debate or the other, you will eventually deal with them. In this episode of the Next Level Human podcast, Dr. Jade gives you a complete guide on branding and marketing, showing you the do’s and don'ts of online business, and presenting tips for you to get inspired. On Pain & Purpose with Matthew Paetz - Ep. 122

Send us a textPainful experiences and traumas should not be seen and treated as a competition between two individuals. At an emotional level, no one suffered more than the other. Everybody is equal in their pain and we should use the experience to, in fact, connect and inspire. What other use could possibly be given to pain if not making it the incentive to purpose?   In this episode of the Next Level Human podcast, Dr. Jade sits down with Matthew Paetz to have an inspiring conversation about pain, purpose and encouragement. Matthew talks about his personal trauma and how he used it as a way to support others and normalize other people’s fears. He also explains that trauma in a sense doesn’t understand context, which makes everyone’s suffering just the same.   Check out the Next Level Human sponsors! On Calories - Ep. 121

Send us a textIn today’s episode, Dr. Jade gives you an overview on calories, how they work and how they impact fat loss practices. While calories can be worked simply by counting them with a food calculator app, it’s important to know yourself first and pay attention to how your body and metabolism uniquely function. How we want to be looking at calories is: they are energy and should be treated alongside a sustained diet.   Dr. Jade also explains the difference between portions of food and the energy density corresponding to that specific food. Different portions of food have different numbers of calories and they don’t always match, for example, a super small portion of granola has a super high number of calories in it. By underestimating this equation people end up counteracting any progress during their fat loss journey.   Check out the Next Level Human sponsors! What Workout Should I Do? - Ep. 120

Send us a textWhen we think about starting a fat loss process, the first thing that comes to mind is: “I should exercise more.” This concept has been a staple in the fitness industry for years, which makes it an incontestable truth to many. However, in terms of a fat loss phase, more recent research reveals that exercise programs work less than we think they do: it’s fundamental to maintain a weight loss phase, but not very useful if you’re just getting started.   In this episode of the Next Level Human podcast, Dr. Jade explains the details about the research on TDEE levels, metabolism and all the variables involved. When it comes to initiating a fat loss or weight loss phase the main focus should be calorie reduction, more movement (like light cardio, leisure walk) and slowly increasing our weight training sessions during the week.   Check out the Next Level Human sponsors!
